Prayer for a lost soul I met online and became friends with...

I met him through the GameFAQs PSO board. Here's the AIM conversation we had (Well, the part that matters):

Infection WypOut: Are you a Christian?
xPsoPlayerx: ha!
xPsoPlayerx: no
xPsoPlayerx: lol
Infection WypOut: What are you, then?
xPsoPlayerx: i'm satanist!! MWUAHAHAHA na just playing, uh i'm catholic i guess
Infection WypOut: I'm Free Will Baptist. But what I mean when I ask you that is, do you really believe in Christ and plan to go to Heaven?
xPsoPlayerx: I believie in christ
xPsoPlayerx: about the heaven part...l
xPsoPlayerx: I don't think in terms of heaven or hell
xPsoPlayerx: this may be stupid but it's what i believe
xPsoPlayerx: i think after you die you become a soul wandering the earth, and you find a pregnant woman and 'become' their child. of course you lose all memory of your previous life
Infection WypOut: Ah, basically reincarnation?
xPsoPlayerx: yes

He has the starting point of Christianity, believing in Christ, but he needs serious help on the other parts. I don't exactly know how to witness very well, either. And...the Bible says not to worry about a speck in your friends eye when you have a log in your own eye...I'm having some difficulty with my faith and such now, so I don't know if I would be a good person for witnessing to him...

Although you should indeed keep Christ's lesson of the "speck" in mind, that doesn't mean you shouldn't witness to him or explain to him the Gospel. In this case, it's not a matter of removing a speck but giving him the most valuable gift possible: your testimony about God's gift of salvation!

Hope this helps and I'll pray for both him and you!

Prayer is always always ALWAYS the best solution. Pray for his soul and pray for your words to be from God.
I'm back to make a post or two every couple years...

Right (and I'll pray, too).
