Desktop is out of the question, though I wish it was a option. For ~$600, I could put together a much better desktop...sigh....
From what I've read in the reviews, they say that the build quality is decent, although not extremly rugged. I tend to take good care of my computers, so it would seem like it would be fine.

No, unless you revel in knowing the model numbers of the last few years of gaming laptops. I'd not be surprised if you didn't know what MSI was.
