FUNimation and Sentai Filmworks reviving several Bandai titles!

I'm so excited! I hope this doesn't mean they're blue-ray only and that FUNimation and Sentai will revive more Bandai titles.

I hadn't heard that Sentai picked up Big O. If that means that it's going to get a blu-ray release then that's bloody awesome.

This is cool and all, because there are some series in there that I genuinely enjoyed. Are you going to have a rage fit if everything is on BD though?

I really hope you complained about the transition from VHS to DVD this much because DVD is going the way of VHS.

How does Gundam fit into this? I saw that Daisuki is streaming a few of those now (including Gundam ZZ, of all things) and if Funi's the one who picked up Bandai's stuff, wouldn't it make more sense to have it on Funi's own streaming site? Or does Gundam have it own separate deal or the leverage to get its way outside of Bandai?

Because Bandai distributed Gundam in the US. In fact, they distributed a lot of Sunrise's material. Only a few titles, like Inuyasha, were distributed by other companies.

YAY! Now I can maybe buy a quality Escaflowne set without it costing me my house and cat! :D

It has nothing to do with Gundam. I so wish it had but no Gundam titles were included in all this. Looks like they are only going to stream Gundam with no physical release. I sure hope the new Gundam shows are in the works though. (Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam: Origin) Build Fighters in particular i think would do will out side of Japan. It has the same appeal as Yugioh. It could be big if they have some merch sells to go with a TV release. I just don't think Namco Bandai is thinking or planning anything like that. :(
