I've watched about 1/3 of .Hack//SIGN and all of .Hack//DUSK.
I like Dusk better though...note the avatar.

Although some of the female characters in both series could use more clothes, it's still pretty good.
I'm back to make a post or two every couple years...

I saw the trailer for one of the.HACK games on the Patlabor 3 DVD. It looked pretty cool, but I think like most RPGs it's PS2 only (and I've got an XBox)... so unless they port it over I'm not going to be able to partake of it :D

I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

And Zone of Enders :thumb:

It's a mech-type of shooter... 3rd person as I recall....

I was delivering the NY Times right after it came out, and they had a review of it. The thing is, they where running the original Gundam series at the time as well, and it almost sounded exactly like it (kid piloting the mech, good at it but doesn't want to kill anyone, etc).

I played the demo at EB... was pretty cool...

So the games really are good? I was wondering if they were or not because the back said there was mature sexual themes. What's that all about? Or are they just cracking down on the rating system?

Here is a Christian review that should answer your questions:

I've played the first two parts and I've seen nothing like that. I guess it must be because of a little part in the first DVD, where you guess that maybe something happened.... Or maybe it's just because of Helba's revealing clothes
Anyway both parts are really great. They helped me understand .hack//SIGN (even though I haven't finished seeing it yet). I couldn't picture how the game worked and all before I played the games.
BTW, does anyone knows when the third part is coming out?

Well, I haven't seen the whole series, but I remember reading from various places on the net that Tsukasa WAS a girl in real life.
As far as the game is concerned I haven't finished the first one yet, but I didn't notice anything horribly objectionable yet in it that I can recall. I'm not too far into it though. I've been playing other games and haven't gotten back to .Hack yet. Too many games I want to play. lol :dizzy:
