I was on holiday at the sea last week and re-watched Tsuritama, about an episode a day, and it was glorious.

Also finished Psycho-Pass which unfortunately went nowhere interesting in the end and the "plot" of the last few episodes involving Makishima's end plan was particularly ridiculous. Finally, still watching Blast of Tempest which is pretty great so far and caught up on a bunch of eps from the new season.

Needed a release from all that angst in Fafner, so I started Tsukyomi Moonphase. This series is just...yeah. It's times like this that I say "Thank you, Japan, for giving us such weird stuff to enjoy!"

Finished Code Geass. It really feels like Death Note, but slightly less smart. Why couldn't Lelouch have come clean with Suzaku at the end?

Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0 gets it's home video release on Wednesday. It's the only anime I care about right now.

So, I finished Kobato. The final episode really hurt the show, in my opinion.

I'm trying to decide if I want to start FMA yet or not. I'm through Volume 4 of the manga, so I don't know if I want to risk catching up to the story too quickly by watching the anime now.

This is done. Not sure if it was bad subs or just intentionally made to be this way, but I'm kind of confused by some parts of the movie. Can't discuss it per rules. But yeah. Still enjoyed it.

Well, I've almost finished season 2 too, and he still hasn't told Suzaku what really happened with Euphy.

You mean that it was an accident, it wasn't in his control?
Personally I think Lelouch knew telling Suzaku that wouldn't change a thing. Actually it would sound like he would be making excuses if he did try that. It didn't change the fact that it was still his fault, and he ended up going along with it afterwards, for the sake of his plans and all.

I just finished all of Geass. That is officially one of the saddest anime I've ever watched. But the ending was pretty good. At least some people caught on.

I haven't watched this particular anime, but in Japanese culture if someone explains why something wasn't their fault--even if it truly was not their fault--that person will be severely looked down upon. You are supposed to accept responsibility without complaining or making excuses, even if it is not your fault, and people who accept the consequences for what happened despite not being at fault will be admired as having done the right thing.

That would be the case, but it's not really Japan at the moment, it's Area 11, with a lot of Britannia influence taking most of the culture (by force), since Britannia took over and colonized all of the once existing Japan.

I only watched like two episodes of Code Geass, but isn't the main conflict that the Japanese are holding to their old culture in the face of the crushing Britannian occupation?

Watched The Secret World of Arrietty, The pacing was a bit slow, but I really loved it over all. I have good feelings about this new director! :3

-9/10-

Also finished Sword Art Online. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Hated that they made it so Kirito's cousin had feelings for him, it made the 2nd half of the series really annoying for me. It was really needless, and bothered me since they both of them were raised as siblings. It was very inappropriate imo. (and another thing, what the main villian did to Asuna in ALO, it was really unforgivable. Wish they had let Kirito kill him IRL.) Also, the resolution to the harem was stupid, since none of the girls moved on, and were plotting on interfering with Kirito and Asuna, which I don't want to have happen, thank you very much. However, by the end of it all, I still like SAO, I just don't love it anymore. D: It was a fun ride, and had great moments, too bad it was plagued by annoying, 1-dimensional side characters. (most of them being the 'harem'.)

-7/10-

Also, watching Suisei no Gargantia, which is amazing so far. The character designs are delicious, the ost is great, (also, Choucho!) I really like Ledo, Amy, and Bellows. The rest of the side characters are also really good. Don't like the lesibean pirates though, I think I'll pass on them thanks. (hopefully they don't return very often.) I think I found my new Hyouka for this season. :thumb:
and Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru, it has a fantastic sense of humor, and I really like the male lead. So this could end up being really good.

Finished Blue Exorcist. This was a fantastic one. It's like Naruto and Wolverine, with a little D Gray Man thrown in. I think it got the best of all three.

Watching Suisei no Gargantia ep 4.

Also watched Kiki's Delivery Service. I had never seen it before, and it was simply lovely. I got all sorts of 80s nostalgic feelings, the story was great, the characters were fantastic. And I think I'm going to name the black kitten we're getting next month Jiji. ;) Definitely one of my new favorite ghibli films.

@AngelicTotoro: *grin*

So, I finished Ouran Host Club. It was cute. There were a lot of really fun parts. I was disappointed that it looked like she ended up with him. I wanted her to end up with that other guy. ;)

I'm watching Ouran too, up to ep 21. I don't want it to end but I want to keep watching. Second season where? :/

Also watching the Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya, which is quick and random and mostly funny.

It's actually fairly serious from there on out. Still wacky, but more serious undercurrents.
AFAIK, no second season.

Yeah I've heard that. Episode 22 was hilarious though. I might check out the manga but I've also heard that's more serious too.
