Allergies

Postby AdriTan » Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:02 pm

So for more than a month I've been having what we think are food allergies to unknown causes. And I've had almost every single syptom to go with it. I am soooooo tired. My body sometimes feels like that damsel in distress tied too the railroad except for I've been run over several times instead of saved by some handsome gentleman..... (Oh metaphors...) So I will be in and out of action on here. Though I am going to be on more often for sure since I've had less problems focusing lately.

I would really appreciate your prayers.

I pray that you are able to figure out what's causing your symptoms soon. Have you tried an elimination diet (eliminate one potential allergen for 3 weeks or so to see if you notice improvement of symptoms --but only eliminate one potential allergen at a time --or you won't know which one you have been reacting to).
I have some resources on food allergies if you would like. I have multiple food allergies and figuring out what I was reacting to was quite an undertaking (and things still change over time--am currently giving cutting out eggs a try).
I will keep you in my prayers. I know how hard it can be to deal with food allergies and sensitivities. Throws quite a wrench into things.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Thanks. I've tried that with corn, but that didn't seem to do anything. Same with coconut and pork.

My next appointment to the allergist is on the 1st. Pray it all goes well!

Praying.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? -Micah 6:8 KJV
They have shewed thee, O teen, what is good; and what doth the world require of thee, but to fit in, be wealthy, have good looks, and be rebellious? -Peer Pressure 1:1

Glad they figured out what the cause was! I've been gluten-free for 3 years now and it's actually not as hard as some say it is. Initially, I had bad cravings for gluten-containing foods, but it got easier as time went on. :)
