Watching FLCL for the first time. I think I get what it's saying, but I just am not on-board with the vibe. Also, I'm wondering if I'm missing anything with the dub.

Ouran High School Host Club 13 to 15: Hey, 3 episodes of GeneD doesn't find obscure things that disturbs her and no one else. ^__^ I really liked how in 14 all the guys rally in defence of Tamaki, who's of course blissfully unaware of what's going on.

Finished 08th MS Team. Solid real robot action, solid characters, the romance was done really well, everything had that gritty '90s anime look to it... Yep, pretty sweet. How about we just pretend that last episode didn't happen and call it good, 'kay?

Just finished Tegami Bachi. Now where can I get some soup...?

Currently working on Shugo Chara (don't laugh at me...), Sword Art Online (pleasantly surprised to find it isn't terrible like I was expecting), and I think I'll also resume Code Geass.

Shugo Chara is adorable! ^.^ It just has a miserably incomplete ending.... (I'm pretending Party never existed. Terrible, TERRIBLE sequel).

Anycase, finished FLCL. While I don't hate it, I definitely don't think it's all that and a bag of chips. I'd appreciate it far more if I were a teenager... and even more specifically, a teenage boy, which I never was. It touches on a lot of issues - metaphorically and symbolically - that they have to deal with. I'm still thinking I lost a good amount of dialogue in the dub.

Finished Squid Girl. Watched a trippy episode of Night Raid. Started Say "I Love You" (pretty good so far). Watched an episode of Steins;Gate (I'm scratching my head on the continuity).

It definitely takes more than one episode to understand what's going on! ^.^ Thankfully, all is made clear by episode... 6 or so, I think.

It's not that. It's the fact that there's any continuity at all, given the theory put forth. This probably isn't a spoiler, but I'll hide it anyway:
The experiments change the past (insertion of jellypeople), even though their explanation of how time travel works would seem to preclude it. If your time travel shifts you to other timelines, no time-travel-changes should be possible. Having multiple timelines is the same as not having time travel at all. That is, you're not traveling in time, really, but among a series of immutable timelines.
I'm thinking of starting Yu-Gi-Oh! the first series. It really looks like the sort of stratagy anime I can sink my teeth into!

I'm not sure how far you've gotten by this point, but
the idea is that at certain points in history, things can go drastically differently depending on the choices made. This is where a lot of AU fiction comes from - steampunk, alternate WW2 timelines, etc. So the 'time travel' is shifting a choice - creating an alternate timeline - where a different choice was made and therefore a different outcome. What the group discovered was that data is far easier to shift through time rather than people, whereas that company was straight-up trying to send people back... creating the jellypeople because the physical issues of trying to shift a person in time.
Atria, you should be more careful about posting spoilerific things to people who are watching the show. And about making assumptions as to what people understand. If you reread what I wrote, you'll see that I understood completely the theory of time travel put forth in the show. But under that theory, the events of its canon should not be possible. Now, as this may become a lengthy discussion, and as the spoiler tag isn't doing much good at the moment, I will attempt to continue this in PM.

Tonight, I watched Persona 4 and Night Raid 1931 (season finale, only the last DVD episode remains). So, I should be able to post a review for that soon.

Sorry guys; this is partially my fault. The spoiler system isn't working because I haven't gotten to all the different pieces of the board yet. This is high up on the list, though!

Well, I was totally ninja'd by Mith  Read my post again - I have spoiler tags in there. They aren't working. They aren't working in your posts earlier, either.

Solution: Avoid spoilers for current posts.

I think she meant that you have to swipe some quotes to see them, like the old spoilers.

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

I wasn't complaining about that. :) I was saying that the comments, being addressed to me, should have been more vague about actual events in a show I've said I'm in the middle of watching... but... *sigh* I just sound silly, now, don't I?

Gomene.

Tonight, I watched Persona, SILY, Kobato (new on Hulu, so I thought I'd give it a look... not sure if I'll like it), and Persona 4

Watching Baccano! since it's apparently the best anime of the 2000's according to everybody on this website. Almost done with it.
