Gankutsuo - The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite book, so this has been a real treat. I'm on 20 out of 25.

Witch Hunter Robin - Just started. Hopefully her nominal Catholicism plays into the plot a bit and Christianity has a presence.

Followed up the awesome Shin with K Knight episode 1 - it's eyecandy, but terrible pacing.

I am in the process of re-watching Bamboo Blade for review purposes, since I couldn't find it in the reviews area.

Rewatching the first episodes of Ranma 1/2. They take so long to finish one arc! And they do some truely rediculous things with Kuno, so much so that it's not even funny anymore.

I recently finished Birdy the Mighty: Decode which was really enjoyable. It's pretty predictable, most of the characters are pretty dull, and it has its dumb moments, but all that was definitely forgivable because it's just so much fun to watch. I liked it a lot.

Also watched The Wings of Honneamise which was...ok, though not really my thing. It had some interesting ideas, but the storytelling seemed really choppy and I don't think the overall message was delivered very well. I thought it was worth a watch, but not something I would ever want to revisit.

Finished Jinrui wa Suitaishimashita with episodes 11 and 12. I love the art style so much. :D

^ Heads up - not allowed to mention the names of illegal streaming sites on here.

Ixeon Saga DT 1- Not too shabby. I liked which fantasy elements it kept (though honestly, they were so random. And swords against guns? Not... not good), and which ones it twisted (MAN that princess is so not cute! xD She has this perpetual bored/angry look on her face and I love it!), and adored the scene where he picked out the LAMEST shoes ever! Her maid is a hermaphrodite, if anyone is concerned with the content. Other than that, it's pretty tame.

Watched the most recent episodes of, Sword Art Online, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Eureka 7 Ao and Little Busters!

SAO: Thoughts in thread made for it.
TKK: The first episode had a lot of stuff crammed into it, things that normally take a romcom around 8 episodes, all happened in 1. Only it didn't feel rushed and seems to be setting up for greater things. So, I'm most definitely looking forward to this tuesday.

E7Ao: SO. VERY. AWESOME. (Well, actually, only the last three minutes made me feel that way.) The rest of the episode was pretty darn lame, and Truth is the worst, least menacing villian since Azula (ATLA). >>
Come on, Ao! Don't be so wishy washy! Shoot the darn thing! (Hopefully that will repair the countless plot holes. And actually make the supporting cast likeable.)
LB: It's giving me a total Clannad/90s anime vibe, of course this means that Little B is probably going to end up making me cry... Are characters gonna die?? (Don't tell me.)

Also saw The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
I watched it with my younger siblings and we were all quiet as mice the entire time, spellbound. Anyway, I loved it, the artwork, camera angles, characters, everything. Mamoru Hosoda is a great director. The ending was kind of sad, but it also had a positive spin to it, leaving it open for you to decide whether or not Makoto and Chiaki do end up together. (Of course they do! They've got to! ;D) The story was fantastic, the voice acting made the characters feel real. (I watched the sub btw.) Bottom line, it's now one of my favorites.
9/10.

Oh, and I'm also watching Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter.
(I'm a very busy bee!)

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Even though I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23

I have been watching Macross 7 the past days, I am rather enjoying it. It is bascially AKB0048 but without the pop group (Not the scenario per se, but the spirit of fighting the power with the power of music) . While I am enjoying 7, I am not as enjoying it as much as AKB0048, this is due to the fact that FIGHT THE POWER with guerilla concerts is much more fabulous and an attractive concept than spamming musical energy beams at tokutatsu beasties.

hehehe... I don't know if even the power of that gun can do that.
Though, the way they handled the first firing was quite interesting.
But, yeah, AO is pretty good, but nowhere near as good as the original series. And I'm still trying to figure out how we go from where this series has us to where we are at the beginning of the original. Time will tell, maybe.

My Little Monster 1-2- My only qualm was the little quip about "be quiet or I'll rape you". It was incredibly brief, but it sticks in my craw. I find that sort of thing completely inappropriate.

Except for that, I think it's rather interesting.

I've watched up to episode 4 of Hyouka, which is fast becoming the favourite of the things I am watching right now. I love Oreki's motto.

Also started Magi and posted in the relevant thread.

Almost everything I'm watching right now or have watched recently has the same faces. And I'm not just talking within a certain show but across the shows! They all have these cheeks that make me want to pinch them like some out-of-town cat-lady aunt who smells faintly of mothballs and old books...

Black Lagoon: uninteresting characters argue about moral non-issues while committing morally reprehensible actions and engage in action scenes ranging from decent to awful.

Not a terrible show, but atm I have no plans to watch Second Barrage.

Finished watching Bamboo Blade (couple of days ago). Just finished Fam, the Silver Wing. The whole show was kind of weird, and I feel bad for Fam the way things turned out.

I went over to my friend's yesterday, he introduced me to Nichijou and School Rumble. School Rumble was alright, although not exactly my thing. Nichijou, on the other hand, was absolutely hilarious! I loved it. I watched the first three episodes or so of each.

I watched episode 3 of Tsuritama and by the time I hit number 8 I knew I wasn't going to bed before finishing the series.

It was quite wonderful and the perfect thing to blow off some steam from studying for exams. I think it may have been the happiest anime I've ever seen. I love the ending theme, it's really peaceful and relaxing after the manic joy of each episode.

Started two shows recently. Have seen the first two episodes of both.

Xam'd: Lost Memories -- An impressively strong sense that you're in a strange land. Cool action, and apparently parents are people too. Looking forward to watching more.

My Little Monster -- I haven't been this many members of a cast since Princess Jellyfish! : D
