Yes, I realize there's a Ragnarok topic somewhere back there, but it's from October of last year and had a total of three replies, so I suppose there's no harm in starting another.

Anyways, anyone else play Ragnarok Online on the Loki server? ^^ I was thinking maybe we could organize a CAA party sometime.

My character is Raiyuu, level 18 thief. xD Yes, I do realize my character's a guy - my brother (Child_Of_God) and I decided to switch accounts. X3

I've been considering downloading it, but it's a huge file, and my compuer isn't lightning fast. Is it free to play once you get it?

It's free for two weeks...then you have to pay...I think $57 for six months

Yeowch. If I had that kinda money I'd have Harvest Moon right now...Anyway, I might check it out and play for two weeks then dump it. I'm cheap that way.

[Oh...I downloaded it a few weeks ago just to check it out, but I haven't played it yet. I kept getting some strange error and could never connect to I stopped. Now that I found out some of you play it here -- it probably expired. And I'm too cheap to buy it. : (

I was informed about this game about 1 year ago (after playing Quiz Quiz Online...;__; I miss that) anyways, I heard it was a HUGE file download and it cost mucho-moniez! So, then in my newtype magazine I send for a free installation of Ragnarok CD and was going to play, but the next day I got my DSL taken away. ;-; So, i'll have to play it sometime at my friends house.. (He has Cable!! lolz..)

If I did make a character I had in mind a Magician. :-)

I've downloaded it...... I might try it out sometime in the very close future. It looks pretty fun, but I'm not sure if I'll shell out the money to play.

I just started the free trial yesterday on the Loki server. I've got a lvl 12 novice named Lokikun. I'm also trying to become a thief. Maybe I'll see you on there.

Ragnarok Online is a MMORPG.

You start out with novice class and slowly (sometimes oh so very slowly) gain experiance though killing the ebil monsters that are overunning the Midguard Kingdome (i think thats what its called...)

Once you get to Job Level 10, you can change to your first class!

Swordsmen,Acolyte,Archer,Theif, Mage or Merchent.

Wait...im getting WAY a head of myself.

The File Download is rather large.

But, FREEEEE!

DSL makes the download not so painfull, but any slower connection is going to be...slow. But thats just how it is.

I Downloaded it from Fileplanet .

At the site (www.ragnarokonline.com) they give you a few sites to choose from.

As i said, the DOWNLOAD IS FREE.

When you download you get the option of also downloading Sakray, i will explain.

There are 3 Servers.

Chaos

Loki

And the Test Server; Sakray

On the test server, new chapters of the game are implemented first. Sometimes 4 or 5 weeks before the main servers.

Also, experiance points and item drop rate is double. (heheh :evil:

)

Chaos has many thousands of players everyday.(try getting someone nice to help you, year right)

Loki is in the high hundreds to low thousands

and Sakray, is low hundreds.

I only ever play on Sakray.

People are nicer and it feels more like a community because you actually SEE people again.

So, i think its worth the extra download.

Mioko (priestess)

GrumbleCakes (crusader)

Kita (merchent)

If you want to play on Sakray with me, please PM me, i'm on a LOT and i mostly play as GrumbleCakes or Mioko.

I just started playin this yesterday, and I guess it's pretty cool so far. Very confusing, however. I had to take some kinda personality test, and it was like "you should be an archer" so i'm like whatever, ill follow the test. So then I went to some archer guild, and they're like "grow to level 9 to be an archer blah blah" so now im in some village and whenever im about to hurt a little monster thing, some other 1337 person kills it and i get no exp.

So Ragnarok veterans: Please help me!

Hehe, don't be an archer, I made the same mistake. Try the basic Hack 'n slash dude... the enemies are alot easier to kill near that town.

My free trial has ended, along with my interest... It was a pretty fun game... but, I don't have the time.

OHHH! I am sooo there! Errrr I mean "joining you guys(and girls)" this summer when I have more free time. I decided I am going to do the trial thing, and as long as I don't hate it I'm going to play for the rest of the summer. Does anyone know if you can take your free trial character and keep them if you upgrade to paying?

After looking at the character art I MUST become a Wizard (Wizard = fireballs = Waahahaha!) .

This game is so fun! I highly suggest that if you are thinking about playing this that you try it! I think it's actually cheaper then other MMORPGs since you don't have to pay for the software, just to play it.

I love my little mage, although she is still really weak. -_-

Free servers are also illegal. ^_^ It's a form of stealing, ya know.
