Detective Conan movie 15: Quarter of Silence.

Considering that all Detective Conan movies are really good; this one wasn't as good as most. I give it a 7/10.
(I enjoyed the characters, but the case wasn't as good as I'd hoped.)

Also watched Detective Conan Ova 11 and Magic File 5.
The ova's plot was very lame, but Mitsuhiko's 'deduction' about Haibara's past was very cute, and the slight hinting of MitsuAi at the end was so cute my head almost exploded, so I give it a 7/10.

As for the Magic File, it was probably the best one yet, Heiji's out of control reasoning skills cracked me up mulitible times and the whole plot idea of getting the presents mixed up was very, uh, cute. (I wonder how many times I'm going to use that word. xD)
I also loved seeing Makoto and Sonoko together, it's been too long since Ran's best friend got to see her bf.
They are so cute!
(I think Detective Conan is going to give me a cavity; and I'm actually rather happy to have it.)
Come on, Gosho. Put Makoto in more cases! His character is one of your best!
10/10.

Finished Cross Game - I am so glad I decided to watch this. I never thought that I would like a baseball anime, but this went beyond what I expected. Baseball has now become an enjoyable sport for me.

Hopefully, you're planning to (or already have) watch FMA: Brotherhood, which has a much better ending :) (And much fewer plotholes, come to think of it.)

Chihayafuru Ep.1 - Interesting character designs. Also, Arata looks a lot like my brother. Creepy.

Natsume Yujincho Ep. 14 - I think Natsume showed more facial expressions in this episode than he did all first season.

Naruto Shippuden and Skip Beat! Both are excellent. Of course, Naruto is one of my most favorite animes, but Skip Beat! is really good too. Quite funny with a few hair pull-out moments, but it always keeps you hooked and laughing.

Just finished Brigadoon. I have to say that after finishing this anime, out of all the anime I have seen, I can now say that two anime TV series have made me lose control and just cry just the ending. [NANA and others, now I think of it, are more utterly and completely soul-crushing.] When it comes to little girls suffering, this series makes Magica look like an average season of Precure in comparison. Also, best /m/ love story ever written.

Wait, what happens to other real life people? Liking baseball because of Cross Game?

And definitely, more people should watch it. I'm kind of sad that I couldn't find many computer wallpapers for it, and that it isn't on DVD, only Hulu. :(

Watched The 12 Kingdoms episodes 1 - 8.
I'll be honest, so far I'm not very impressed with this, it has gotten better like I was told; but besides Rakushun, who is reminding me of the chronicles of narnia,
and Youko finally not being such a whiny crybaby... I'm not really feeling it so far.
7/10.

If yo'ure looking for an action/fantasy like LoTR, then you'll be disappointed. It's about the stories of the people that inhabit the world. It's really all world-building and relationships between people, with a solid dash of how to rule in it. And for that, it's one of the best world-building shows I've ever seen - the place is absolutely amazing (I don't know if you've gotten to the part where they explain where children come from yet, but I thought it was hilarious! - and just to clarify, no it's not inappropriate or anything). It's about being lost in a world that's completely unfamiliar. It's an overall pretty realistic look at the world and the joys it has as well as the prejudices.

But it's all character development and world-building, and while there will be exciting moments, those just happen to be part of the stories and not a lynchpoint of them.

Finished Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou (aka. episodes 14-26).

[vague spoilers ahead]

Episode 23, I think, stood out to me as having some...interesting animation. Particularly the scene where Natsume was running down the stairs. I guess it was better animated, but a little off model or something. Anyways, it worked since the episode had a bit more action than others. It's the first episode that I really want to rewatch after I'm finished.

Episode 16: Hot spring? 0_o I agree with Nyanko, it that episode Natori really was "shady as hell". However, this was probably my second favorite episode of the season, after 23, since it lent a little more insight into Natsume's character, especially through that dream.

Started Natsume Yuujinchou San

The animation looks a lot crisper and brighter. I think Crunchyroll is streaming a higher quality or something. The subtitles have changed too. However, Natsume's character design looks different, and it's kind of odd. Less detail or something.
Otherwise, I love the new OP.

@Arita, I already learned where children come from in their world. (I thought it was strange more then funny, probably because Asano tried to eat one before... ew. xD)
So, I won't get loads of action scenes? D: Aww... Well, I'm still willing to watch it anyways. (I usually always finish what I start with anime.)
I just hope I end up liking more then Rakushun and that beast-kid voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi. (So far, I don't really care much about anyone else.)

Watched the first episode of Hyouka and posted my thoughts in the spring anime thread.

Crest of the Stars - Currently three episodes in. This is better than I thought it would be. The first two episodes did a good job of getting at the confusion/sadness of growing up right in the middle of political turmoil.

Madoka - Four episodes in. This show is...interesting to say the least. I'm worried that it's just going to descend into "watch cute girls get traumatized!" but it's certainly has enough mystery in it besides. Love the music.

Thanks to CrunchyRoll, I've amassed quite the anime queue:

"Mysterious Girlfriend X": Episode 3 - While certain aspects of this show creep me the heck out, once you get past that, it really is a sweet love story. I love watching the two main characters go about their complex relationship and I look forward to seeing more.

"Kimi to Boku 2": Episode 4 - I don't know why I like this show, but I do, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The animation style is really nice, and I love the characters. Earlier, I characterized this story as being the boys version of "Azumanga Daioh". After watching this second season, I can stand by that analysis 100%!

"Kids of the Slope": Episode 2 - I'm enjoying this series more than I thought I would. The pace is nice, and the characters are very intriguing. The music is awesome, and I have a feeling it's only going to get better, as it's from the same tag-team that brought us "Cowboy Bebop".

"Space Brothers" : Episode 3 - Just when I thought I couldn't find a series like "Planetes" that gives a real-life feeling to the future of space travel, along comes "Space Brothers"...I seriously LOVE this series!

"Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals": Episode 3 - "Naruto" characters...chibi-fied...with no filler. Sign me up! This show cracks me up each time I watch it. Rock Lee has always been one of my favorite all-time anime characters, so seeing him get his own show is nothing but awesomesauce for me! There's only one problem--where is Chibi-Hinata?! This is a gross oversight!

So, I went into Mouretsu Pirates again, this show is nothing. A desolate wasteland of a toned down fanservice adventure. It doesn't excel in anything at all. The girls aren't particularry hot or interesting. They were introduced by horrible traits instead of their backgrounds and personalities. The design work bring nothing eye-catchy to the table. Genericness, ho! Not sexy, funny, interesting, exciting or any combination of these. The ultimate mainstream show, you could say.

Of course someone will come say "that is only your opinion", however, I don't consider myself as a person with unearthly standards, so I should be able to see at least a reminiscent of why this anime exists, not to even mention why is it is popular. But I don't.

I just don't. :/
