Mom asks for your prayers

Postby Rogie » Thu May 27, 2004 6:05 pm

My mom wanted me to ask you all to pray for her (and I'm asking too :) ). She hasn't felt well in the past couple of days and her fibromyalgia is "acting up." The fibro kind of knocks her out and keeps her from functioning very well, so we'd appreciate your prayers.

Thanks, everyone!

I will keep you mother in my prayers too, does she know what the outcome will be? Please keep us inform on a weekly or bi-weekly, so we know what's going on with her.

I don't really know how to define fibromyalgia per se, since it really attacks so many parts of her body and life that aren't physically visible. She has chronic fatigue with the fibro, as well as persistent pain, especially in certain "hot spots."

Yes I Exist's link to http://www.fmnetnews.com goes into the details pretty well (thanks for that link, by the way, and I'll let my mom look at that site!).

Although the disease is relatively unknown to many people, quite a few people have it in our area, and throughout the country.

Thanks for your prayers, everyone!

Wow, now this is really gravedigging, huh?

Not actually, since I figured that it would be better to update this thread with a new request, so that others would understand the fibromyalgia angle from previous posts. Anyway, my mom's being feeling really bad lately and has actually been confined to the bed for most of the past two weeks. I think that it's probably a strong "attack" of her fibromyalgia, but she's afraid it's something else that she doesn't know about yet.

She's going to the doctor again soon, and she's feeling 100% better today (in comparison to the past two weeks or so). Just please pray for her and for our family in handling her sickness. It unfortunately causes a lot of stress and arguments that shouldn't be going on (and yes, I'm in the middle of all that :( ).

Thanks for your prayers, everyone! :thumb:

I'll be praying, bro. It's hard when someone's health is constantly troubled. It does cause a lot of tension. I'll pray God's grace abounds to your family and that God would especially your mom the grace to deal with this thorn in the flesh.
