What I HATE about Nintendo DS and PSP

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Sega 100% OUT of the console/handehld making business? And they're dedicating their time to making games as they originally intended to?

I'm hoping the DS knocks the socks of the PSP. Nintendo has already made itself a market in the handheld world. The DS's backward capability will be what wins this. Nintendo already have hundreds of GBA games out. Sony doesnt. I can happily but a DS knowing my older GBA games will work fine. Ppl buying Sony's PSP will start from scratch.
I am the Reaper of Souls... and it's harvest time.

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

You say that as if Nintendo won't just trot out it's old mascots again to get people to buy their system... :P

Well I think that both of them do have potentials.
Of course there are not going to be many original games on them but i think that this what has happened for many years now.
You buy a handheld to be able to play your favorite games everywere! On the bus, on the plane, take it with you on a small trip!
I believe that these two have something to offer.

Hmm... Are you sure the PSP is gen1 PS2 quality? Snake's model on MGA looked exactly like the PS1 MGS model... And, the backgrounds were VERY pixelated... I know it looks mildly better than MGS, but I can't place my finger on how... It doesn't look anything like Sons of Liberty.

As for DS vs PSP

DS:PSP
Touch Screen:No touch screen
Clunky for a portable:Sleek
slow playing(to go back and forth between the pen and the buttons):quick playing
Mariox2 and Metroid:Metal Gear, Chrono Trigger, Advent Children (I'd buy it on their format! That would be cool... I hope more movies come out on that format)
It looks like the DS has a bit more power than the : PSP but I'm not sure, they could be about equal...

In any case, the 300 dollar price tag puts a damper on the PSP, but I may shell it out if they drop the price after that.
