The Dragon Children: Second Generation

~Saphira~
Her sapphire eyes bored into Chrysanthe's eyes.
Stay still, Cold air shot out of her nostrils, freezing some of her hair in place.

=Aristocles and Chrysanthe=

Aristocls dodged the first lightning bolt. "Feisty, aren't we?" He said in a low voice. Suddenly, he felt something coil around him and saw that a dragon had coiled around him and Chrysanthe before they were both dragged down to the ground. Aristocles growled. He focused his energy on shadows that were nearby, commanding them to coil around Feld. The shadows then pulled Feld off of Aristocles and Chrysanthe.

Chrysanthe was about to charge Reika before she was pounced on by Saphira. She struggled, but unfortunately, she wasn't exactly very strong. She glared.

"Get off me!" She growled.

Aristocles saw the second lightning bolt, but barely had enough time to get away from it. It grazed his right wing and he grunted, doing his best to land as gently to the ground as possible. "So that's how you wanna play, eh?" Aristocles stood up intimidatingly, ignoring the burning sensation in his wing. "Picking a fight with a sinister dragon who parctices the dark arts is a dangerous matter. I suggest you run." Long, dark stretches of shadows then shot towards Reika.

Trevor stood on the top of the inn and pulled an arrow from his quiver. He murmured softly, and the tip burst into flame. Time to prove myself. He pulled the string back and aimed at the black dragon.

His eyes did not blink as he let go of the arrow.

=Eulalia=

Eulalia's eyes widened slightly when she was slapped. Joanne had never down that to her before. She turned her head back to Joanne and glared. "Of course I realize what I've done. I'm actaully taking my place in this world."

Yagami leaned a little closer to the pool. "Oh, come ON, Eulalia! What does she know? She's never been alone in her life! She had her twin sister and Sophia to make her an extra-special priestess. You never had anyone to care about you. She was chosen, you weren't."
He leaned back and made a pitiful noise. "That's not fair at all, is it?"

--Adarah--
"Strych, I believe you should show these lowlifes what a descendant of Kor's true power is!" Adarah commanded. Then she turned to the pool.
"Eulalia, the time has come for you to prove your loyalty to me. If you give Joanne a pinch where her shoulder meets the neck, it should render her unconscious. That will give you enough time to get past her and join my ranks. Then you must find Shiro and subdue her as well.
--Joanne--
"You are still my child, never forget that. But I must warn you. You are heading down a dark path. One day, your lantern will run out of oil. And then, perhaps no one, not even I, would be able to help you." Joanne said.
--Set--
Set got on Ba-Pef. "Looks like we got some new Black Dragon clanspeople here. Let's see if we still remember our old tricks, old friend."
Ba-Pef nodded. They took off into the air and that was when Set spotted Lobinka on the roof. He concentrated and called forth vines to scale the walls of the inn and they found their target. They began to wrap around Lobinka's legs.

~Strych~

My pleasure my queen. He swooped down over the crowd of fighters, landing in front of Aristocoles. I don't hear a thank you. He said, putting a barrier around the two. He snarled at the angels. "You would not dare attack two Black dragons, would you?"

~Lobinka~

She grunted as the vines tugged at her legs, she sliced through them with her Kunai then jumped on top of Shiro. She poked her in the back in separate places, paralyzing her. She lifted Shiro by the neck, and held a kunai to her neck. Dragon, back off, unless you want your rider's throat slashed open.

OOC: Lobinka basically did what Tai-Lee from Avatar does, the 'Chi block' as they called it. She poked specific weak spots on her back to paralyze her.

Set sighed. "Oh, come on. I was once one of you. Did you think I wouldn't be prepared for that?"
He reached into his pouch and threw a kunai of his own at Lobinka's, knocking it out of her hand.
"Now, let's see how you do against a pro." Set said. "I still remember how to fight dirty."
--Reika--
Reika became terrified. She backed away, but it was no use. Her own shadow coiled around her like a python.
"N-no..." she choked. "I...can't..."
Raphael swung his sword in a circular motion, then he slashed at the shadow that was strangling Reika.
"How?" she asked.
"LIght cancels dark." Raphael explained. "This is getting bad. Adarah should be sending her monsters in any moment now."

~Lobinka~

She snarled at Set. She threw a few kunai at him, he swiftly dodged them, but failed to dodge her kick to his face. She laughed, pushed her foot off of his head, sending her into a backflip. "An old timer like you? Hah, tricks won't help you."

~Strych~

He growled at the people surrounding them, Arise, more of you. Shadows, beasts of the earth, the worms, all of you! He concentrated, Shadow beasts took less energy, but the worms took more energy. A giant worm burst out of the ground and wrapped itself around Eruan.

~Eruan~

He grunted as the worm wrapped itself around him, he struggled to get his sword arm free, then slashed through it, cutting it in half. Both halves flailed around before turning into two separate worms. He groaned. "Oh great."

--Reika--
"What the heck are these things?" Reika exclaimed. "Brylin, let's get airborne. Maybe I can do like I did with the pogbos last night."
Brylin scooted under his rider and together they flew into the air. She raised her hands into the air. Then she got an idea. "Eruan, Nokisme said we riders can combine our powers. Can you help me create a storm?"
--Set--
"Not bad." Set whistled. "I see you've learned some basics." Set then ducked into a foot sweep and slid into a spinning heel kick.

~Eruan~

He glanced up at Brylin. Sure. He turned to Saphira. Saphira, let's whip up a little storm. She lifted her snout and breathed a chill high up into the air.

~Lobinka~

"You're not bad yourself old timer." She smirked, quickly jumped over his leg sweep, and just barely dodged his spinning heel kick. "But you'll need more then fancy feet to beat me." Strych, He grunted. I'm a little busy. She rolled her eyes. Summon a few more shadows, but the old timer should be able to hold his own, we need to get Anei back to Adarah. She swung a kunai at Set, slashing his sleeve. Alright, I'm on my way.

~Strych~

Sorry, but you're on your own now. We have a mission to carry out. He said to Aristocoles. He flapped his wings, Worms and shadows, protect this dragon with your lives. And flew off.

[Diamond Dragon]

-Ai-
AKITAAAAA!!! HELP!! I'M FROZEN!!! mantally screamed the panicked Ai. Akita came flying, and landed in front of Ai. Taking what happened in at a glance, she sent energy into Ai, making her able to move again. Ai toppled over in relief. Thanks... Don't thank me yet. The battle isn't over.

-Shiro-
"SHIRO!" cried Len. "You monster!" he shouted at Lobinka, glaring with pure hatred. "Need help?" called Akita, running over. She sent flowing energy into Shiro, making her again mobile. As soon as she could move her head. Shiro twisted around and bit deeply into Lobinka.

--Reika--
Reika shouted to the sky "Light of the heavens, come forth! Strike down these monsters!"
Lightning bolts encircled the enemy, electrocuting the worms and quickly turning the tide in the Resistance's favor. Or so it seemed.
Suddenly, Xavier disappeared and reappeared next to Kilin. "Let's get you back inside the inn, where you'll be safe."
Xavier sighed. He wanted to help, but he knew arguing with Kilin was useless.
OOC: Ally, Aristocoles can also summon monsters.
--Set--
"That's it, kid!" Set coaxed Shiro. "I wonder who tipped them off. Doesn't matter now, I guess."
Gorry swooped in on Phobos and threw a fireball at Lobinka, but missed. Then he got off Phobos and got the jump on Lobinka from behind. He performed a judo throw on Lobinka, forcing her to the ground. Once he had her on the ground, he began to apply pressure to her left arm, holding it in a submission manuever.
OOC: I knew watching wrestling matches could help with fights.

~Lobinka~
Ow, that brat's bite hurt! She wrestled her arm free, and grabbed Gorry's head with her legs, flipped him over her head into Set, then she threw a few dozen kunai at Phobos, pinning his wings to the ground.

~Eruan~

He ran towards Len, he lept over him and landed on Lobinka. He held a sword point to her throat. "Don't. Move." She growled, then spit on his face. She kicked him off, rolled underneath him then kicked him in the back of the head. He grunted, then swung his sword back around, smacking her in the head with the flat of the blade. She glared at him, then threw some kunai at him, he blocked all of them with his blade, but failed to notice she had run off. "Where did she...-" He was hit from behind. He couldn't move. She was standing over him with two kunai in her hands. "Revenge." She smirked.

[Ally-Ann]

Trevor stood on the top of the inn and pulled an arrow from his quiver. He murmured softly, and the tip burst into flame. Time to prove myself. He pulled the string back and aimed at the black dragon.

=Eulalia=

Eulalia recognized the voice. It was the voice she had heard in her head the day before. No, it's not fair! Eulalia sighed and shook her head slightly. "Forgive me, Joanne," Eulalia murmured quietly. Then, with the lightning speed that Berenike taught her when they had trained together, Eulalia's hand shot forth and she pinched Joanne where the neck and shoulder met.


=Aristocles and Chrysanthe=

Aristocles saw the arrow, but it grazed his left shoulder, making him grunt in pain. You little... he thought before his attention was turned back to Reika.

Blasted angel... Aristocles thought when Raphael got rid of the shadows that had coiled around Reika. No matter. She is a child. Not very lethal at all. The people that I need to get rid of is that Gorry, Raphael, and Eruan... But how? Aristocles pondered for a split second before coming up with the solution. Yes, that spell should work perfectly.

Aristocles took a deep breath and bowed his head towards the ground, closing his eyes and murmuring quiet chants. "Darkness of the world below, I request your help. Send to Gorry thy clouds of anguish." Two seconds after that chant, a dark mist began to surround Gorry first. Aristocles smiled evily. The mist would create large, painful blisters all over his body until the mist died out. [I]While his mind is distracted by the pain, that is when I can strike]

OOC: The spell will last for about a minute. Just enough time to give a little ease to Lobinka.

Karin had overheard the argument and rushed in to see Karin unconscious. "Kilin, come quickly. Something's happened to Joanne.
OOC: Ally, have Eulalia ask Adarah to help her find Shiro. I have a plan for how we're going to capture her.

Aristocles grunted as we was knocked off his feet. He glared at Ai and swiped at her arm with his claw. Brat. He thought as he stood up and put a bit of a distance between him and her as quickly as he could with numerous wounds. Chrysanthe! Onto my back! Quickly! Aristocles thought to Chrysanthe.

But you're hurt! Can you carry me? Chrysanthe thought back.

Get on! Chrysanthe obeyed and ran to Aristocles before climbing onto his back. She layed down on her stomach and wrapped her arms around Aristocles's neck, though they only reached about half-way. With surprising quickness, Aristocles lifted off the ground and was swooping high over the battle. "Aim first for Gorry while the spell is still affecting him!" Aristocles instructed. Chrysanthe nodded and took out three kunai from her pouch. She expertly lodged them between each finger, and with a great swipe of her arm, she let go of them, sending the kunai flying towards Gorry. Next up is Raphael. He's an angel, so this will probably be a little more difficult. We'll need a spell. Do you remember the one we practiced a few days ago in the cave?

Yes.

We will try that one and see if we are capable enough to use it in battle yet. Chrysanthe nodded. That was a difficult, if not nearly impossible spell to accomplish for them when the pressure was on.


=Eulalia=

Eulalia was startled to see Karin come in. "I-I think it was too much for her..." Eulalia lied. She then looked at Karin. "I have to go." Eulalia's voice was low and serious. She pushed past karin as she glanced at her for a split second. But that was enough to portray to Karin that the playful and arrogant vigor in Eulalia's eyes had left. Instead, it was replaced with the cold seriousness of a person overcome with greed.
Eulalia walked out the door without looking back. "Goodbye."

Kilin burst in after Eulalia had left. He sent energy into Joanne to revive her.
Joanne came to slowly. "We've...been...betrayed...Eulalia...under a spell...not...fault." she groaned.
"What do you mean?" Karin asked astonishedly.
"She made a deal with Adarah." Joanne explained as she felt herself coming around Thank you, Kilin. "She thinks it will help her become queen."
Karin sighed. "That selfish, arrogant brat! And here I thought her calling everyone peasants was just an act to make herself feel better!"
Joanne shook her head. "It's more than an act. Berenike told me once that she truly is from nobility. But she was born out of wedlock, and it brought shame to her mother's clan. Berenike made me swear to keep this a secret from Eulalia until she was mature enough to understand. But I never thought she'd feel this certain about her goal. There might still be a chance to reach her, but for now, she is our enemy. It won't be long before the ring she's wearing erases all traces of her conscience."
Karin sighed in anger. "I thought we taught her better than this!" she exclaimed. "I always told you you were too soft on her."
"Actually, I slapped her just now. I can't believe I did it." she looked down at her hand in disbelief.
"You should've done that long ago." Karin shook her head.
OOC: Gee, Karin doesn't like Eulalia much, does she. Ally, could you have Berenike overhear and say something about leaving?

~Eruan~

He watched as Lobinka slipped out of the hammerlock and headbutted Set. "Not sure..." He reached into his bag and pulled out a telescope. He hit Lobinka on the head with it, she went down.

~Lobinka~

What...? She felt a sudden pain in the back of her head, and collapsed.
Strych... I need some help! The dragon roared, he flew over Set and Eruan, grabbed them both with his talons, and dropped them into the roof of the inn a few yards away. He scooped up Lobinka with his talons, she regained control over herself and clambered onto his back. The little brat is still awake. He snorted. One of Adarah's puppets is to take care of that.

[Ally-Ann]

OOC: Have Eulalia quickly move to Shiro and use the neck pinch she used on Karin.

Kilin burst in after Eulalia had left. He sent energy into Joanne to revive her.

Eulalia walked into her's and Chrysanthe's room and retrieved her belongings before slipping her shoes on and walking out.


As Eulalia walked past the dining room and kitchen, Berenike saw her and ran over to her.

"Eulalia! Eulalia, what's happened? Where are you going?" Berenike asked slightly panickedly. Eulalia looked at her and smiled sympathetically.

"Sorry, 'Nike. The road ends here."

"What do you mean, child?" Berenike's voice was a whisper.

"I'm going on to take my true place in this world. Adarah has offered me a deal that will result in me becoming queen." Eulalia showed serious determination in her eyes, rather than the childish determination that had been present just a few days before.

"Your true place? Nonsense! Where is your common sense, Eulalia?"

"This is common sense, Berenike]Shiro is probably in there somewhere... But where?[/I] Eulalia thought. She pulled her double-bladed sword out and her eyes darted around for Shiro. There she is! Eulalia took a deep breath before running into the battle.

OOC: Diamond, how about we have Shiro act as if she doesn't know the truth? That goes for everyone else too.

Set saw Eulalia coming towards them. "Well, I guess you're a little late." Then he saw her luggage. "Wait, where are you going?"
OOC: Take them all down quickly.
--Joanne--
Joanne saw the look of shock on Berenike's face. "She's under a spell and doesn't realize it." Joanne explained. "Adarah's tricked her into thinking with greed." Then she read the dragon's mind. If you're thinking of leaving us, my friend, don't. She needs you now more than ever. If you truly love her, stay with us. she said telepathically.
Xavier overheard Eulalia's words. "No! Not sister Eulalia! She's always been a little mean, but she tried to be nice to me. What do we do, nokisme?"
"Xavier, what did I tell you to do with enemies?" Joanne asked.
"Love them?" the boy asked.
"Yes. That's my son." Joanne said, and tearfully embraced her son.
"I'll pray for her every night, nokisme. I promise." Xavier said.

~Eruan~

He groaned, luckily the table broke his fall.
He climbed off of the table, just in time to see water rushing down the street outside.

--Adarah--
"Very good, Eulalia. Now, once you knock out Shiro, I will have a fix on your location. Then I will teleport you, Shiro, Aristocoles, Chrysanthe, Lobinka, and Strych to Heligrad."

[Ally-Ann]

=Eulalia=

Right. Eulalia thought back. She glanced around the skirmish in a split second with the eyes of a hawk, assessing the situation as she ran with lightning speed. She knew instantly that her power had to be fast and sudden. Imediately knowing what to do, Eulalia spun her sword in her hand quickly, concentrating her power on water that she hoped was somewhere underground. She smirked when she felt the water rush out of the ground and cover her still-spinning sword. Here goes nothing. Eulalia thought. With as much strength she could muster, she swung her sword parallel to her, forcing the water to rush at everyone with great force a short way down the street except for Shiro, Lobinka, Strych, Aristocles, and Chrysanthe.
Eulalia kept running at great speed and put her sword into her scabbard before rushing up behind Shiro, using one arm to wrap around Shiro's neck while the other held the tip of a kunai barely touching the heart side of her chest, just as a warning. "You're coming with me."

~Lobinka~

She looked down at the battle below her and laughed. Aristocoles, can you carry two? She grinned. Because I think we just bagged ourselves a Daughter of Pandora.

~Eruan~

His eyes widened, the water was coming from Eulalia's sword. He frowned, Saphira, are you alright? He heard her snort. A little washed up, but I'm alright. He saw Eulalia holding a kunai to Shiro's chest. Something strange welled up inside him. He noticed Trevor had fallen down. He quickly grabbed his bow, not before checking to see if he had any broken bones. He ran back to the window, and aimed an arrow at Eulalia. Sophia, please, give me the strength I need to save her... He closed his eyes and let the arrow fly.

~Strych~

An arrow flew with almost lightning speed from the Inn, he quickly stopped it.
Grabbing it a telepathic spell. Just because you have the target doesn't mean you should get careless. He motioned for Chrysanthe to get on his back.

--Adarah--
Adarah smiled at her success. This worked precisely according to her plan. She waved a hand over the pool and Eulalia, Chrysanthe, Shiro, Lobinka, Strych, and Aristocoles disappeared and reappeared in her throne room.
OOC: Eulalia and Chrysanthe should kneel before their queen.
"Very good, my children. You shall all be rewarded for your efforts." Adarah greeted them.
--Joanne--
Joanne rushed out and saw that everyone had been injured. She began to tend to everyone's injuries, with help from Minerva and Kilin.
Kilin sent healing energy into Brylin and Reika.
"Yupolga, Kilin." said Reika.
Minerva approached Eruan. "Are you all right?" she asked.
Joanne told everyone. "I see Shiro has been captured. But do not fear, we shall rescue those we have lost. We shall bring back Chrysanthe, Shiro, and Eulalia."
She quietly sent a telepathic message to Aaliyah. "Aaliyah, I have need of a favor"

~Lobinka~

She bowed to Adarah. "Mother below, Eulalia and Aristocoles helped us take down our target." She frowned. "And I'll admit, the two of us couldn't do it without them."

~Eruan~

His face turned red at the mention of Eulalia. "She turned against us, Why would we go save her?!?" He glared at Joanne. "She played us, all of us." He ran over to Saphira and jumped onto her back. Let's go. Saphira snorted at him, but took off anyway.

[Lockon Stratos]

"Ow." Having a couple thousand yor of dragon falling on you is never pleasant, especially if she's knocked unconcsious on impact. I had managed to extriticate myself out from under her. "This is absurd. These people are going to be the death of me." I turned and saw that I wasn't the only one beat up. "All right, who's not dead?"

Revel walked over to Trevor, who was knocked to the ground during the fight. Sorry, my morning nap went longer than I thought...What did I miss?
Disappointment...Pain...A kidnapping...Just your regular everyday life in the Resistance.
Trevor tried to stand up, but his ankle gave way. Darn Eulalia!...Had to go and turn on us!...And I didn't even get the chance to get to know her... Revel tried to help Trevor up, but he was shrugged away.
Just leave me alone...I'll manage.

"It appears that except for a certain traitor and Shiro, we're all present accounted for." Set said to Brandon.
--Minerva--
OOC: You're not getting away that easy, Eruan!
Minerva intercepted Eruan.
"Just where do you think you're going?" she asked curtly.

"Princess Ariel!" Minerva stopped and knelt in respect. "Why are you here?"
"I have chosen this one. Mother says I should start taking responsibility. She has her champion, and now I have mine." Ariel shrugged. She turned to face Eruan. "You humans have a word: soqi. That means no one is left behind. Or forgotten. And besides, aren't we forgetting our meeting last night?"
OOC: Soqi means family. Oh, and a free cookie to anyone who can guess what Ariel quoted!

"Zelka Joanne. I am here." she greeted.
Raphael hugged Aaliyah. "Mother, it's good to see you again."
