So far I like it, but I don't love it. Lets just wait and see what happens though. ]chan is such a jerkface! If I guy did that to me... Well, I wouldn't go about it in such an unchristian way... but I would do something horrible to him.)

7/10.

I'm not sure how far the anime goes, but so far there's way over 100 chapters of manga, and I've loved all of it :) Such a great story, and SOOO funny. I think the anime just kinda drops off somewhere, but I've never watched it, so I'm not sure...
Prior to that, I watched the Final Fantasy movies (Advent Children and something else) with a friend. Exquisite animation]

Hahaha, I never played the games, but I watched Advent children and got a kick out of it  The animation is incredible, but yeah, the story line was a bit... :eyebrow: unique. I'm gonna guess I would have 'got it' a little more if I'd played whichever of those FF games it's supposed to follow up on ;) I still enjoyed it for the most part though.

Gallery Fake 31-37 (complete)- Good all the way through. The art world? Exciting? YES! Fraud, thieves, kidnappings, and the reasons people get into it in the first place, this has it all. While I'm not so fond of the second opening, I really enjoyed the music, and I grew to know and like the characters a lot.

Continuing with ep 3 of Last Exile, "season 2"

It reminds me of the .hack//G.U. Trilogy, not in animation (though it was 3D but not as good) but in story. Having watched the games played and read background info, I understood it a whole lot better than I would have: the movie was a double bookend: it covered the beginning and the very end. In summary, though, it felt rather empty, particularly because everything was left in the games and not put in the movie but also because there really wasn't much to the particular story (or sub story) that they decided to cover.
But yeah, you're right: the FF movie would probably make more sense if I had played the games or at least read up on background.

Toradora- Ep. 2-4
Lol, Ryuuji's goofy face at the softball game...=3
It's a cute anime. Not the best in the world, but I still like it.
I'm just glad it isn't angsty, I'm a bit tired of angsty characters at the moment.
I wonder if it's gonna actually develop a plot, or just keep being episodic.

I've been meaning to check TBAUW (it's Gainax!) but apparently wide consensus is that it's rather ho-hum. What's your take on it?

Soul Eater 36-42- Did a mini-marathon because I wanted to finish crocheting my friend's blanket that she's getting for Xmas. It's definitely hit 'dark', and I'm enjoying the mind games and double-crossing that's going on. And I have to say the storyline is a step above most shounen. I think I'm enjoying it more than I am One Piece, but not as much as I enjoyed FMA.

Surprising, it would be decent if not for the completely unneeded nudity. It's unexpected to say the least.

D.Gray-man episode 22

Questions still not answered, Allen's left eye still stupid-looking :shady: And I don't think I care much for Krory - to be honest, I've disliked him from the first time I watched the first opening theme. Something about him annoys me, though I can't quite put my finger on exactly what. Oh well, hopefully things will change next time.

Loved episode 3 of Guilty Crown oh so much, and looking forward to next week. Shu is also growing on me a little in that he's not a bad guy, just....scared of everything. It's starting to grow into more of a "real" quality that gives him and the show dimension instead of a plain annoyance.

So I just watched both Macross Frontier movies in the past couple days.

Here are some theoretical events that I would need to know your reaction to seeing in anime.
1) When a plane transforms into a robot and fires off hundreds of missiles to attack a single target, all of which have their own unique flight path, to destroy a single enemy unit.
2) An idol singer stands in the middle of a giant conflict and has her performance projected across the entire battleground in order to give hope to the people.
3) The power of culture(embodied in Japanese pop music) is so mighty that nothing can defeat it.

If your reaction to the following is that it sounds kind of dumb and cheesy, I probably should never talk to you.

If your reaction to the following is that it sound LIKE THE BEST THING YOU'VE EVER HEARD OF, then Macross may be the finest franchise for you.

I recently got into Macross early this year via the newest series, Macross Frontier, though at the time I didn't quite get what Macross meant. I thought it was a very good show that I could watch, greatly enjoy, then mostly be done with. Sure, I was maybe a little interested in the fact there were several previous series that would share some things with it, but I mostly viewed Frontier as a stand-alone experience. Upon hearing a pretty moving review of Macross: Do You Remember Love?, however, I decided to investigate the franchise beyond just Frontier, and what did I find out?

Macross is frigging amazing.

Like the idol singers the show features, Macross knows that it is entertainment, and it does it in the best kind of spectacle it can. Valkyries firing off hundreds of missiles in the most beautiful dogfights imaginable, singers doing their concerts amidst this war to bring love and peace. A love story set to the backdrop of great battles. A universe where a single song can bear strength greater than the power of a hundred thousand warships. Step aside, Gundam, step aside, Votoms. Macross went for a real robot series that rather than gritty is delightful, and the kind of optimism this franchise has can only be described as beautiful.

Go watch Macross. Go watch Frontier(and then DEFINITELY THE MOVIES), go watch Plus, go watch the original(actually I might just make a Let's Watch for it), and then you may just remember love.

As a final note, if this picture inspires you, then you are a good person.

Finished Skip Beat! and Princess Tutu.

Skip Beat was a really good anime, but the ending was bad since it didn't actually have one. 0_o (It just... ends. With a lot of stuff remaining. Which is why I am currently reading the manga.) I adore Ren and Kyoko btw, I love couples where the guy is fighting his feelings. It's so cute~! ^o^
I thought it was hilarious how Kyoko accidentally encourged Ren to pursue her (She had no idea he was talking about her though, but really, does Kyoko think he knows any other high school girls enough to like them? >> So dense.)
8/10.

Princess Tutu had a fantastic ending, and the episodes leading up to it were just as enthralling.
I enjoyed every minute of it.
(Why did it have to come to an end? :shake:)
I'm also very happy with how things turned out, I ended up liking Rue in the near end, so her ending up with Mytho is A-okay with me. And, Ahiru may be a duck again, but I'm sure Fakir can change her back into a human if that was what she really wanted. I am SO thrilled that the pairings ended up the way they did. Fakir x Ahiru is stupendous! I kinda wish Uzura had stayed with them though. (I love that little cutie pie~) Hopefully she'll grow up(?) and get away from Drosselmeyer, but I doubt it.
Again, the series and ending were excellent! I cannot heap enough praise on it! ;) Best soundtrack, best cast, best voice acting...
and I just adore fairy tales! *glomps PT*
~10/10~!

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Even though I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Continuing with ep 4 of Last Exile, season 2.
Tatiana Wisla and her side kick Alister Agrew return. That makes her and Lord Dio from the original. I'm sensing a trend - we may actually get to see all of the original characters return (except the ones who died).
