At that moment, Karin came out. "The innkeeper's making pancakes. Want anything special, Xavier?"
"Can we have gopi chips?" he asked.
"I'll have to ask." Karin said.
OOC: Gopi is the Krangorian word for chocolate.

[Ally-Ann]

--Adarah--
Adarah sent a telepathic message to Eulalia. This is your reward. You have chosen wisely, child. Look around. You have subjects waiting for you. At that moment, a woman looking very much like Joanne knelt before Eulalia. "What is your bidding, my queen?" she asked.
OOC: The woman's not real. This is a hallucination. Besides, Joanne vowed never to kneel to anyone, except Sophia. Have Eulalia fall for it.

--Joanne--
Joanne smiled and hugged her. "I'll do better. I'll show you my past. I'll show you how I and Karin, my twin sister, met her." she reached into her robe and pulled out her coin that she used for hypnosis. It was very beautiful, so beautiful that anyone who looked at it would be unable to focus on anything else, for that was its purpose. It shimmered like a prism, and rainbows emitted from it.
"I want you to look directly at this coin." said Joanne soothingly. "Trust in me and listen only to my voice. Nothing matters to you but the coin and my voice."
OOC: Go ahead and have Chrysanthe give in.

--Minerva and Nefron--
"No, Berenike." said Nefron. "That would've been a mistake. When my child Saiyanne gave herself to Pandora, I was tempted to leave as well. But Sophia stopped me in my tracks. She said 'If you leave now, there is no hope for her. You must stay.'"
"My husband speaks the truth. We will face this together." said Minerva. "She needs you now more than ever. If you stay with us, you will cause a pain in her heart that will never leave. That pain will haunt her and she will eventually realize her mistake. That is what happened with Saiyanne. And she eventually came back to us as well. But if Nefron had left, that would never have occurred. We must still love her and pray for her. She needs it. We must never lose hope. That is what Adarah wants."

=Eulalia=

Eulalia was astonished. Joanne... was kneeling before her? Impossible! But it seemed-- it felt-- real. "My bidding?" Eulalia repeated. What is my bidding? Do I have one right now? Eulalia continued to look at this person who looked like Joanne. She then let her arrogant side take over. "Swear your loyalty to me."


=Chrysanthe=

Chrysanthe did not know what to do at first, but imediately gave in when she saw the beautful coin. She nodded slightly, now in a trance that she did not realize she was in.


=Berenike=

Berenike sighed once more, but nodded. "I understand. It's just disheartening to know that your child has given into evil. I just can't help but feel that I did something wrong when guiding her."

The image changed. Now the house was in ruins. Smoke was coming from all sides. The younger version of Karin cried "NO! Mother! Father!" She ran inside.
"Wait, sister!" the younger version of Joanne called as she followed in. Then they saw the dead bodies of their parents.
Karin knelt and wept. Their lives as they knew them were all over. They were now orphans.
OOC: Have Chrysanthe react to seeing the dead parents and forget that this is just a vision.

"I'm Shiro, and I'll have gopi chips as well please." Shiro replied, smiling.

Eulalia's face clouded when Adarah asked what happened to Anei. "She is now Shiro. She joined the Resistance," she replied in a low, quiet voice.


=Chrysanthe=

Chrysanthe's eyes widened in horror when she saw Joanne's and Karin's dead parents. She choked out a sob unintentionally tears flowed down her face like a river. "No!" She cried, knowing what it felt like to be an orphan. She wept for Karin and Joanne, forgetting that this was just a vision. It was a horrible image to her; she hated to see over-depressing things, such as people dying.

At that moment, Gorry came down and Reika was down as well.
Gorry walked over to his wife and they embraced each other.
"So, this is your husband?" the innkeeper asked. "I see he's quite the catch."
"Actually, I caught her." Gorry winked.
"Ooh, pancakes." Reika said as she sniffed the air. "If you're making special kinds, I'll just take cinnamon."
She patted Shiro on the shoulder. "You must've slept well." she said. "So, how's it feel to really have a family. You can't really have one without love. That's what nokisme always says."
"You folks sure have a large family, though." said the innkeeper.
"This coming from a woman who had six children." Karin laughed. "But we have all the love we need. More people just means more hearts."
Set joined them. "I'll take my pancakes plain, ret."
OOC: ret is like saying ma'am.
Xavier could smell the pancakes from outside. "Um, brothers, I believe our food is ready."
--Joanne--
Joanne continued the vision. "Then she came." A blue-haired woman opened the door and saw the twins crying.
"Come with me. There is nothing more for you here. Get your dragons. You have a long journey."
"Who are you?" Karin asked.
The woman bent down and wiped their tears. She hugged them and her warmth dispersed their sadness. They instantly felt as though they could trust this stranger, as if they had known her their whole lives. This was Sophia.
"I am your new mother. If you let me be your mother, you will have a new family that will give you more love than you ever thought possible."
"We couldn't refuse." Joanne narrated. "We took her hands and we became a new family. From then on, I was Sophia's daughter. So is Karin, but she saw to my education. She wanted me to be a successor. When she returned to Adelphi, I wasn't sure I was right for the job. But she had taken away all my selfish desires. So I took my staff, knelt and said 'I am your handmaiden. Let it me done to me according to your word.' Now, I will snap my fingers, and that will end the vision."
She snapped her fingers and they were brought back to the present.
Joanne cupped the coin back into her pocket.
"Sophia must have claimed you as her own last night. Do you wish to be my child as well?"
OOC: Of course Chrysanthe does!
--Adarah--
You must bring her to me. You WILL bring her to me. You don't care how sad it will make her." Adarah commanded. Besides, I told you to act normal. You can't expect me to believe all you do all day is daydream. That's not how a future queen acts. You are hungry. Go downstairs and join everyone for breakfast. The kneeling priestess faded.
OOC: Have her stomach growl and then she leaves. Yep, Adarah can even make her hungry.

Eruan ducked through each of the blows, one glanced off the side of his head and he fell to the ground. "Ow... Nice one." He glanced over at Xavier. "Alright." He turned back to Brandon. "We each get one move." He smirked. "One try to knock the other down. You can guard however you like."

~Emily~

She looked around the room, then over at Desade. "So what is my queen's bidding?"

[Lockon Stratos]

"You go first." I sheathed my blade. I wouldn't need it for what I had in mind.

[Twister980]

Eruan narrowed his eyes, and swung his blade in an arc.

[Lockon Stratos]

A quick side-step and sweep kick later, he was on the ground and I was standing over him. "I win. Now, I'm going to get something to eat. What about you?"

[Ally-Ann]

Chrysanthe nodded eagerly, quickly wiping the tears from her face. "Of course I do!" She exclaimed, smiling.


=Eulalia=


Eulalia sighed before her stomach growled. Suddenly she realized that she hadn't eaten anything since the previous afternoon, and what she had eaten was a small piece of bread. "A little food certainly couldn't hurt," she mumbled before walking into the dining room and kitchen where a few other people including Shiro were. Eulalia's mind wandered briefly to her mission before her stomach growled loudly. She blushed slightly. "Ehm... Good morning," she said to anyone in general.

--Desade--
"I think you and Strych would make excellent guards. The Resistance should be coming very soon, if I am not mistaken." Desade said.
OOC: Desade has foresight. He knows what's coming.
--The innkeeper--
"Good morning. I'm making pancakes. Anything special you like?"
Karin laughed. "Well, look who decided to join us. It's quite uncharacteristic for you to sleep in. You must've been having quite a dream. And where'd you get that new ring? It looks like, I know I've seen that kind of gem somewhere, but I can't remember where."
--Joanne--
Joanne warmly embraced Chrysanthe. "Then, welcome to our family, Chrysanthe. There is only one thing left. I will have to baptize you to make it official. But I'd rather not do that on an empty stomach. I can smell pancakes and I believe they're the special vegetarian kind! So, shall we, my new daughter?" She got up and grabbed her new staff. Then she entered the children's room. The only one left was Ai.
"Well, I believe we are the last ones left." Joanne said. "No matter, somethings are more important. Ai, I want you to meet Chrysanthe. She is your new sister!"
OOC: Diamond, have Ai greet her as warmly as like. Oh, and Ally, could you have Aristocoles and Berenike arrive at the inn and have Aristocoles rudely barge in?

[Ally-Ann]

=Eulalia

Eulalia willed herself to keep her mind and voice steady. "Hm? This ring? Oh, it's just a cheap old thing... a... peasant gave it to me quite a while ago, and I just remembered I had it. It looks decently passible... for an item made by a commoner, I mean," Eulalia said haughtily, mentally cheering that she didn't seem out of character. Then again, what she had just said felt more natural than forced.
She looked back at the innkeeper. "Oh, and as for the pancakes... Surprise me! You worked wonders with the veal last night, so I'm curious as to how the pancakes will turn out," Eulalia stated to the innkeeper.


=Chrysanthe=

Chrysanthe smiled shyly. "Hi..." she said quietly.


=Berenike and Aristocles=

Berenike had managed to catch up with Aristocles.

"I sense they are at that inn," Aristocles said in a low voice, walking over to inn in a haughty way.

"Aristocles, control yourself," Berenike warned.

"Don't you tell me what to do," Aristocles replied darkly. He threw open the door and barged into the inn, looking about for Chrysanthe.

"Aristocles!!!" Berenike yelled at him for doing something so rash.

--Nefron--
"Excuse us. He's from a rather less-than polite upbringing." Nefron said.
"I'd say so." said the innkeeper. "And I know just the thing to surprise a nice young lady like you, Eulalia." She reached into a cabinet and pulled out a green fruit that she knew was very sweet.
OOC: the green fruit tastes like pineapples, btw.
"Nice? Boy she's reading you wrong." Karin smirked.

[Twister980]

Eruan groaned. Hah. To think you'd be bested. He glared over at Saphira. I got careless... He pushed himself up, then dusted himself off. It won't happen again. He walked inside, the innkeeper was making pancakes. He looked over at Eulilia, she seemed... Stiff. He shrugged it off. I'm sure Joanne'll notice it soon enough. Saphira snorted. I doubt it, you've got a Hawk's senses. He laughed softly. Thanks Saphira. He looked over at Shiro, she was stroking a cat like creature. A loqa... I haven't seen one of those in awhile...

~Emily~

She smirked. "The Resistance," Your chance for revenge will come soon enough. Strych said. But now is not the time to be focused on a petty revenge. The dragon smirked. Soon enough he'll be bowing to you, and to Adarah as well. Emily patted the dragon on his scaly head. I think we'll get along juuuuust fine. She looked over at Desade. "Are we to leave soon?"

[Diamond Dragon]

-Ai-
Ai had just finished meditating when her mentor came in with the girl called Chrysanthe. Ai smiled as she also hugged her. "Welcome to the family!" she said.

--Joanne--
Joanne smiled. "Come along then." she said to her daughters. "Let's meet everyone downstairs."
OOC: In the next post, Diamond and Ally, have Ai and Chrysanthe get some pancakes.

"Good morning. I'm making pancakes. Anything special you like?"

Revel blurted out, "Can you drown the pancakes in chocolate? And make the bowl out of pancakes too?"
Revel... Trevor said, You know what happens when you eat chocolate...

Trevor sighed and made a short bow to the innkeeper. May we have some pancakes, please?

The innkeeper just laughed. "Is he like this all the time?" she asked Karin.
"Actually, he's usually more reserved." Karin said, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"How about I surprise you too?" the innkeeper asked. "Eulalia seems to have the right idea." she found a polka-dotted fruit that she knew had a sweet taste and wouldn't make someone hyper.
--Desade--
Desade motioned to Emily to follow him into the throne room. He instructed her to kneel before Adarah.
"Desade, is this not that girl who dared to spit in my face several months ago?" Adarah asked.
"Yes, my queen, but as you can see, I've made her my protege. I started by depriving her of food and water, giving her only enough to survive. After that, I decided to try my dream machine on her. Thanks to the drugs and visions, she is now your perfect soldier. As long as I can keep bringing her back to the machine every day, she will continue to be so."
OOC: Twister, have Eruan drop to one knee and call her Mother Below and ask her bidding.

Eruan walked looked over at Trevor. Is giving him chocolate a bad thing? He asked.

~Emily~

Emily dropped to her knee. "Mother Below, I am here to do your bidding, and only yours."

Ai was thankful that the pancakes were vegetarian. Getting a huge plateful of them, she went and sat down at the table.

"Really, you're far too kind, looking out for me. I must know, why are you being so kind to us? It can't be just because we saved your village. Something else is on your mind." said Joanne to the innkeeper.
The innkeeper said, "I once met a mage and gave her room and board for about a month. She was such a blessing in my life and we became friends. She's visited me once a year since. I admire you priests and priestesses. You are always so peaceful, and I can see Sophia has blessed all of you well."
Joanne sat down next to Ai and Eulalia. "Eulalia, where did you get that...oh no! My child, we must talk now! That ring is pangaxea!" she said telepathically to her. "Finish your food, and we will find a place to talk privately."
--Adarah--
Adarah smiled. "Excellent work, Desade. Yes, I can see she will do just fine. You have awakened a fiery aura within her. But Emily is far too pretty a name for you. I think you need a new one. From now on, you are Lobinka. Repeat your new name."
OOC: Lobinka is a word meaning wrath. Pangaxea means bloodstone.

"Lobinka..." She smirked. "Wrath. Thank you my queen." She bowed.

--Adarah--
Adarah embraced the child and whispered the language of demons into the child's ears. She placed a hand on the child's chest and continued whispering. A black aura surrounded the child and her pupils dilated. She was weaving a spell on the child to furter ensure obedience. Then she stood up.
"You now have no love within you. You have only hatred. You are my agent of my wrath. Remember this: my anger is now yours to spread. My perfect warrior. And here is your first order: My sister has been found. Go to Whispering Willow. I have spies in the Resistance who will assist you. Bring Anei to me!"

~Lobinka~

Lobinka smiled, not a loving smile, but a crooked smile, one that held no love for her enemies. "Very well my queen." She bowed, and then left the room. Strych, we're leaving. The dragon bounded down the hall, and sat down at the entrance. She quickly clambered onto his back and they took flight. What's our mission? She stared straight ahead. To capture Anei, who's hiding at Whispering Willows and bring her back to Our Queen Below. He snorted in excitement. "Then let us fly." He said out loud.

[Ally-Ann]

Eulalia looked at Joanne and her eyes showed the slightest bit of fear. "I have no idea what you mean. Like I told Karin, a peasant made this ring for me. It's the cheapest of metals," Eulalia lied, even though she knew it was useless to try to lie to Joanne.

Chrysanthe looked at Eulalia, then her ring. It certainly looks beautiful... It looks familiar, though.

Berenike followed into the inn behind Aristocles, but bowed her head to the inkeeper as a sign of respect and apology. She spotted Eulalia sitting beside Ai and Joanne and she her brows furrowed slightly. She is for sure disturbed. Eulalia, what have you done?

Aristocles walked straight to Chrysanthe, a look of hatred plastered on his face. Chrysanthe. You didn't do what I think you did, did you? Aristocles asked Chrysanthe telelpathetically. Chrysanthe gulped and looked away nervously, inching a little closer to Joanne.

"I-I didn't do anything wrong..." she replied, stuttering.

Eruan walked looked over at Trevor. Is giving him chocolate a bad thing? He asked.

Trevor jumped, nearly dropping the plate of fruit-filled pancakes. Oh!...Sorry, I forgot you could do that...Um...No, Chocolate doesn't hurt Revel in the least...He just gets over enthusiastic...Like a little kid who's had far too much candy for one day... His face turned red behind his mask, but he still turned away. I'm sorry, I'm probably giving you a headache from all of this..It is truly out of character for me...
Revel gave a short chuckle. Hmm...It appears the dam has been broken...Here comes the flood!

~Eruan~
No, Chocolate doesn't hurt Revel in the least...He just gets over enthusiastic...Like a little kid who's had far too much candy for one day... He laughed silently. Like one of the kids from my village... He turned towards the table and saw that the Innkeeper had set some Gopi-chip pancakes in front of him. He smiled over at her. "Thank you very much Ret."

Joanne sighed. Eulalia had never lied to her before. Her desire to be queen had instilled a sense of loyalty within the child. But now, she was acting quite out of character. She finished her food and walked into another room, where she was certain that she and Eulalia would not be heard or disturbed. She motioned to Eulalia to follow her. She sighed, How could she...no. I cannot be so rash. I too was once easily deceived. The memory of her own temptation trial came back to her unbidden.
Xavier turned to Eruan, "Eruan, did anyone in your family train you? You seem as though you know what you're doing."
OOC: Ally, have Aristocoles perform his spell on Chrysanthe and take over her mind. We're almost ready.

[Twister980]

Eruan turned to Xavier. "Well, my Uncle taught me..." He closed his eyes, a memory of the year before passed before his eyes. "I was fifteen when he told me I would be going to join the resistance." He opened his eyes. "Other then the one time he got the drop on me, my Uncle said I was the best swordsman in the entire village." He bit into the pancakes and sighed. They were just so delicious.

~Strych~

They flew as one towards the town of the Whispering Willows. Mistress Adarah, am I to administer the dream state while she is sleeping?

OOC: It's like the Dream Machine except Strych controls the images with his mind, and administers the drug through the air.
