Razor Burn

Let's face it: Razor burns hurt. But how do you overcome it? Post comments, question or disbelief.

When you shave don't push down so hard. If you are burning you are not using enough shaving cream or your pushing down too hard. I hate eletric razors....blades all the way.

Use a Mach 5 baby, yeah.
On a related note, ceramic razors, which last at least 3-5 times longer than metal blade razors (and are a lot sharper) are in the works.

Well, my family is known NOT to have beard or much facial hair at least. So.... I won't be shaving for a while.

Long story short: Never, ever shave 'em in a hose spewing out 50* water. It's not pretty.

yeah it hurts i eventually just learned to ignore it...shaving cream helps a lot! word of the wise dont shave before taking a shower it makes razor burn worst haha learned that the hard way

Just grow a beard really long beard!! Or buy an electric razor and be cool like CBwing0. :cool:

Either use an electric razor or be careful. As soon as it ceases to be a sign of rebelliousness, I will grow a beard so this is no longer even an issue.

I've never wet shaved, except the top of my head once... I've always dry shaved when I used a blade (usually use an electric). I never got razor burn...

Ah yes. I doesn't hurt in the shower. It hurts if you do it when you're out...*ties ice-packs to red, scratched legs*

Personally If I don't shave for a day I look like X-men's Wolverine. It's almost on my cheak bones. And I get called Wolverine a lot but after a good shave, I look like my avatar.

I hate it...I have it now as a matter of fact. I get it when I use my Electric Razor...I only get it on my neck. But I cant use a blade cuz it breaks my face out...So i'm stuck between two extremes...and when i get razor burn it glows bright red :p

well... I use a type of depilatory cream (Magic brand Shaving Cream). It usually works really well, but it's sometimes REALLY hard to get a clean shave when you're trying to shape a good goatee. Don't get me wrong, it's possible, but dang near impossible sometimes.

Nah. But I still can't figure out why on earth his scar glows in the dark...
Anyway, that'd be a scary sight, Kenshin with a beard...*heart attack*

I believe that perhaps I would be as scared or more so if Kenshin had a bread on his face.

Most anime characters look strange with facial hair, actually. It simply is rarely done in most Japanese works. Old men generally have beards, but for everyone else it is an unusual occurance. People like Jet are the exception.
