Honest Tea has set up unmanned booths in cities across America, with a hidden camera pointed at each. You can watch the live footage and see the stats at:

Pretty interesting. I'm sure that the numbers will fluctuate, but it's nice to see that about 90% of people are still being honest about it.

This is a pretty interesting experiment. "Honestly" though, I don't think I'd take one or buy one...I don't make care for the flavor of Honest Tea. =/

Watching the Dallas feed, it was quite funny to watch one lady take like 8 bottles and then immediately have the refill squad descend on the location and start restocking. She booked it out of there.

Wow! Chicago's not too bad- 94%. Go Chicago! (although I admit- while answered that I would pay $1 for it, I don't drink tea. Maybe I'd take it home to my mom?)

It looks like word spread around about this, because every city has climbed in honesty by a lot, very quickly. As optimistic as I am, it's very strange that rates were so much lower before the news crews showed up to report on the experiment.

This is really interesting, especially the internet accountability. The fact that anyone in the world can watch you steal a bottle of tea is fascinating to me. What would be even more interesting is if they set up in other countries, and we could compare cultural reactions to this sort of phenomenon.

Interesting... but, is it honestly tea? A lot of bottle tea does not taste like tea. It makes a good point though. Funny how so many people sell their integrity for a bottle of tea. Or an armfull. But then their dignity goes too. XP

Actually Honest Tea is one of the better teas I've had in the department of tasting like tea. It wasn't super sugared down or anything.

We already have things kinda like that here. They aren't big and fancy, (I'm pretty sure that) they don't have camera's pointed on them, nor are they even that common, but everyone once in a while you'll find a small box selling candy or something like that that has no lock on it with a small box beside it (which usually does have a lock on it) for you to pay in. They require way too much trust for me to use for selling.
