::cringes:: Animated or live-action? I'm scared to death what they might do with a Zelda movie, especially after seeing how Super Mario Bros. got chopped into dog food!! If they actually did it right, I'd LOVE to have a Zelda movie come out--but knowing Hollywood, I dread the thought.....

What is there to take their place as the nintendo franchises of the future?
Bobtheduck wrote:They are making movies that are actually somewhat based on the games now, and not just that have clever refferences strewn throughout and the same names...
But, I have to admit, I liked Super Mario Brothers. I was about the only one that did, but I did. I liked finding all they stuff they hid in it for the fans, and I liked the stupid humor. I just wish Yoshi had eaten someone entirely.
I think as long as they produce top-notch games centered around thier franchise, we could see Zelda, mario, and th eothers for at least 20 years from now.

As for the practicality of current Zeldas and multiple Links, well, Zelda is more about the gameplay than the story-line, so I don't really care.
Lochaber Axe wrote:It is ironic to me that the whole series is called "The Legend of Zelda", yet there is no other mythology and heroes in the games except for Link.
PotBelliedCow wrote:I kinda disagree, MasterDias. I think it's more of an equal balance, story and gameplay. I prefer story, though *hides behind shield*
Anyways, back on topic...it's kind of ironic how this game's called "The Legend of Zelda" but we haven't seen any concept art/screenshots of Princess Zelda yet...if Link's looks that good I can't imagine what Zelda would look like...
