Team Fortress 2 problem

Postby Wolf-man » Wed Jun 29, 2011 5:01 pm

Hey I just downloaded TF2 and when I open the game it seems to work fine as I see the valve logo and hear music and then it gets to the loading screen begins to load then goes to a black screen and never goes to the game. the screen is just black but I see the cursor. I had it sitting like that for 20-25 minutes and nothing changed. Any ideas to help me?

First and foremost, what are your computer specs?

Edit: Better yet, check with this site and look for either TF2 or The Orange Box

Try reinstalling it? Or verify the game cache integrity?

Sorry for the double post. ok got it to work. looks like the problem was that my screen resolution for the game was too high and i guess it couldn't handle it. Now my other problem is knowing how large I can make the game screen.

games that are run in windows usually work better, then you can probably check the requirements for the game's resolution, and if you can't find anything just start small and work your way up
