What does your sleep schedule look like?

Postby ADXC » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:19 pm

Ok, so pretty much I'm bored so I thought I'd make a thread about sleep schedules.

Right now I have a great sleep schedule because it's summer and there's really nothing I need to worry about. So I'll usually sleep from 7am to 3pm. Now I know that that sounds really odd, but that's how I enjoy it when I get time off.

Now, during college is a different story. Usually I'll go to bed around 2 am to 4AM and get up at either 7AM, 8:30AM, 9:30AM, or 11:30AM. Yeah it varies, but I'm a night owl and I really like to stay up and hang with friends.

So what do your sleep schedules look like?

Depends. I have class, like, year-round.

As I have to be on the bus at 7 AM to be at school for my first one, I'm up at 6-6:30 AM
and go to bed around 10 the night before. If I don't have it the next day, I like to stay up until midnight.... but can't seem to sleep past 6 AM. So I tend to nap in the middle of the day. 3 hours usually.

But it totally varies from semeter to semester. This last spring I was up to midnight and slept till 8-8:30.

My sleep schedule looks like a train wreck. XD

On any given night, I could be asleep by 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 in the morning, depending partially upon how kind my brain is and whether or not it wants me to sleep, while also depending upon how much work I need to get done for school. I usually get up by 7 or 10-11AM, depending on when I have classes or work. It's pretty rare that I'm up as late as 5AM, but it's been more frequent this summer that my brain just won't let me sleep. XD It's something I've been trying to fix, for sure. XD

I sleep?

But really, it varies. I never seem to sleep before midnight (last time I remember that happening, I had been up for 60+ hours), but I have to get up around seven. Or, like today, I was up a few hours early. If I'm lucky I can sleep in so I take a sleep aid, and that puts me out 10-12 hours. Doesn't actually put me to sleep though, so I'm still up at midnight.

Hmm... On weekdays I go to bed around 11pm-12am and sleep until just after 6am. On weekends, it really depends. I often go to bed about 12am (sometimes later) and sleep until 10 or 10:30am. Nothing really out of the ordinary.

Sleep schedule? What sleep schedule?

Until recently, I've joined College (After taking a year off from Graduating High School) where I have evening classes. Also, I don't have a job, so not doing anything before Classes begin. So I go to sleep around 3AM-4AM, wake up at around Noon, classes start at 5:30....

So in conclusion, my sleep schedule is effed thanks to School!

Mine's sometimes worse than that. XD Waking up around 12 during school time, that's awesome. Sometimes, I have to stay up late to 4am only to wake up at 7am to go to Western Civ with one of the most boring profs ever. XD

Sleep "schedule"? Hahahahahahahahahaha, that's funny.
Since I've started back on my migraine meds I basically sleep whenever I sleep. It's in 4 to 6 hour spurts at random parts of the day. I started back on them on Wednesday and I've already had to miss a day of work and leave early one day. Hopefully the trend doesn't continue. Though I'm still up, and I've been up since 11am yesterday morning with no end in sight.

I usually go to bed between eleven and one. I get up at seven-thirty on weekdays, and at eight or eight-thirty at the weekend. This has remained fairly constant through university, working full-time, and now a return to studying.

Since taking summer classes, my summer has become like the regular semester. Bed at 10:30pm (or 9:30pm if I've very lucky) and up at 5:30am.

If I didn't have school/responsibilites, I very much doubt I'd be able to go to sleep some nights.

Hm. Glad I'm not in college yet. I know my day's coming, though. I usually go to bed anywhere between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm. Then I wake up anywhere between 7:30 am and 9:30 am. I sleep forever. :P But my sleep schedule will probably have to change in the fall since the school online I'm attending has the hours of a real highschool.

I usually sleep at around 10:30-11:30 PM, and I wake up at 5:00-5:30 AM.

Right now, my college classes' schedule seem to mesh well with my sleeping schedule, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna get screwed up somehow by the time midterms and finals come.

Usually I'm heading to bed between 10:00pm and 12:00am, and asleep before 2:00am. Lately my mornings have been a terrible struggle to wake up before 10:30. X(

My schedule gets even worse (that is, I sleep and wake up later) when I decide to stay up late and read with a flashlight. But sometimes... the book is just so good! D: I don't want to wait! XD

I don't like to get up early. 9 am is ok sometimes. I usually go to sleep past midnight like around 1-2. My classes for the summer are around noon, so I don't have much problem waking up. I just have to eat lunch before I leave, because I won't get out of classes usually until that afternoon.

If I don't have class the next day and nothing to do, I can stay up to 3-4 if I wanted to. I very rarely stay up past 4, something has to have me really motivated to do that.

Well, the first thing y'all should know is that I am a bit of a wuss.

Nutrition and rest are pretty high on the list of things I covet, and it seems my immune system does too. Like to get to bed somewhere between 10:30 pm and 12:00 am, and tend to get up around 7:45 am most mornings [level of cognitive awareness may vary].

Some research somewhere said that the most critical hours for sleep are between 11:00 pm and 3:00 am due to circadian rhythms, so for the most part just try to keep within that ideal to keep the body and mind fighting fit.

Big admiration to you folks who can stay up and stay strong for more than twenty-four hours. Some of us would be dead on our feet, hah.

Well that's if you have a normal circadian rhythm. I do have a normal one, but it's severely off track so now. During summer I like to sleep during the morning when the light gets up. XD Yeah, I kinda sound like a vampire, but I promise I'm not. XD

It varies for me.

I hate naps. I love taking them, but I hate them. Just the thought of something great and amazing happening while I take a nap and I miss it just...makes me sick.

I usually go to sleep from 10:30PM to 6:00PM or so.

Wait you sleep from 10:30PM to 6PM or you got to bed within the span of time of 6PM to 10:30PM.

I mean if it's the first, then that only leaves you with like 4 and a half hours of awake time. XD
