More troubles . . .

Postby Kisa » Mon May 10, 2004 6:13 pm

Well as you all know, my dad recently had a heart attack, and he is now doing well and recovering. Since then though, our two cars have broke and my brother is not doing so wel in his senior year in 2 classes and my mom's side of the family is stabbing her in the back. We are thinking God is testing us and allowing Satan to get to us since so many people are praying for us right now. Just please pray that no more goes wrong and that we make it through. It is very hard right now and my family is very stressed.
Thank you all for your prayers! ^_^

Wow, Belle, that's a lot to handle and digest at once. I'm praying right now for you and your family!

This remind me very much of my family situation about a year ago. Not only did my dad have a life threatening illness, my mom was betrayed by a business partner. We went into bankrupcy, and was hours away from losing our house. We also had both of our cars break down.

The Lord has been faithful to us and has pulled us through. A family form the church gave us a car. Our family has been able to bounce back from bankrupcy. My dad has gone from slicing meat in a deli, to being the Worship leader at a local church, and his illness was miraculously healed.

Just remember that God has been faithful in the past. He is the bread of life. He's all we need to live, and if we trust in him through our trials he will come through for us.

Bad deal about the pneumonia as well :( ... did he have to stay in the hospital, or is he okay to take antibiotics at home?

Wow, so sorry! Something like this happened to my family. I'll pray for God's protection and his intervention.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Definitely be praying for you!

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.
