The game developers' thread!

I can't recall if I ever asked this on here before, but do we have any other game developers besides myself? If so, what are you working on and how long have you been doing it for?

Of course, many of you likely already know about my project, The Traveller's Guide, which I've been working on single-handedly for the last 11 years; although I've been on my third try at it for the last 2-3 years. I don't really have a deadline set, but I've been working hard at it whenever I have free time and whenever the Lord provides me with sufficient imagination. I'm hoping to finally be able to release a demo sometime this year; and while I'm still undecided on what to do with the full game when I eventually get it done, I'm leaning towards releasing it as freeware.

So, let's hear from our other game developers! ^_^

I have done some small things in visual basic, and right now I work on a digger simulation... I have not worked with it for 6 months now, but I plan to start again this summer.

other things I've done is a Guitar accord program, a yatze game, a game where you have to kill sephiroth and a little bittle game I did while learning VB....

You find them on my home page

Later on I think I am going to learn programming C++ and stuff to make even better games and programs... it's fun!

9 years of programming HAS to say something in my records. Just do the maths with my age on the left.

I too am a game developer, and have been making quite a number of games with my friends. I being the programmer, make the games, and my dear friend makes draws the things. Although the graphics he seems he can do is barely past using MS Paint for 3 hours. Otherwise, he's a good Flash artist, and will use him for next project.

Now, where was I? Oh yeah, I'm a game developer. I'll soon upload the games my friends and I made some time later. I think it was uploaded once, but that wasn't a completed game at all... it kinda crashed after level 9 :P

But before that I have a major programming work to do. So laters :)

I can make simplistic games in Visual Basic along with Java Script. I made a Blackjack game on my website and I am playing on making a card game like the one in Final Fantasy VIII. I wanna learn Flash gaming and programming, and well C++ is a very powerful language. Too bad I still am kinda nOOb in that area.

You have probably not tried it, because it's not that complicated if you start with the easy stuff... and besides that its very logical codes... :)

You don't have to. There are all kinds of pre-made game engines out there, so anyone can make a game even if they don't know how to program. Check out the following link if you like to see what I mean! ^_^
