1. I like to speculate what awaits me in Heaven. I picture something similar to Eden before the Fall and God walking by daily and everyone stopping what they're doing to give Him homage. I also picture humans making vigils at the gate, awaiting the return of their loved ones.
2. Besides the internet, reading a good book with some good music. Sometimes I even pick a great band go with it. For example, the best band for LOTR (or any epic fantasy saga) is Led Zeppelin. If you're reading something dismal and depressing, I suggest Pink Floyd or New Order. Those bands really set the mood. (I once listened to New Order while reading Franz Kafka. It really accented the dismal nature of his work.)
3. All of the Die Hard movies. I love the Xanatos Gambits the bad guys throw, especially the third one, because it has Jeremy Irons! (yep, Scar!) Oh and the first one had Snape behind it all! Bruce should've called up Harry Potter!]is a difference.), mustard, and worchestshire sauce. Oh, and be sure to make the batter as spicy as you can handle it. (Tony Chachere's--prounched satchery is the official seasoning for Louisiana.:thumb:)

1. Best part of living in the South?
. We get some nice weather most of the time. And then there's hurricane season...
2. Worst part?

As I hinted, hurricane season. Hurricane season is infamously bad. I'm sure you heard about what happenned with Katrina and Rita, the most recent examples.
3. Have you already picked a new 'Let's watch!' anime?
It's gonna be the classic Leiji Matsumoto series Galaxy Railways--which takes place in the same universe as Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock, and Space Battleship Yamato (aka Star Blazers in US versions). I think you can watch it on FUNimation's own page. If it's not available in full, then I'll switch to Claymore.
4. Trope you use most often in your writing?
Kayla is shaping up for "Plucky Girl". I love this trope, as it makes for a great heroine. Most of your children's book heroines fit this trope, like Pippy Longstocking, Dorothy Gale from the Oz books (and the movies), and even Nancy Drew has some pluckiness. Many magical girl types also have this going (look at Kagome from Inuyasha. If she's not your typical plucky girl heroine, I don't know what is.)
I also wanted to try to make Torla my Jerk with a heart of gold or maybe a Defrosting Ice Queen. Finally, Mutia is also a common character in my writing. I always try to have a character who has a handicap of some kind because I've met lots of people like that in school and I have nothing but respect for them. So maybe she's my woobie.
5. Trope that happens most often IRL in your life?
I often felt like the Buttmonkey IRL, maybe that's why Charlie Brown is one of my favorite characters.

Midori wrote:Have you ever tried writing a computer program? (Things like games made in Game Maker count.)

When I had my Commodore Vic20, it came with some books on computer programming using the BASIC language. It was just about the only way you could do anything on the thing. Using the books, I made a game called "Wasps" that was basically a dude shooting at wasps. (respresnted by pound signs) I also made a game called "Killer Comet", which was basically a clone of Missle Command.
When I had a PSone, I also bought RPGMaker. I had a little trouble getting the kinks out, but I eventually made a game starring myself and my two cousins fighting monsters led by a demon named Azmodel.

Do you mean microwaveable? I like to pop Top Ramen mix in the microwave. Especially chicken flavor.
What do you do for Thanksgiving (and what kind of food do you have)?

We usually go to my Maw-Maw's house (that's what I call my grandmother on my father's side) and have a reunion for a couple days or so. I start the day by watching the annual Macy's Day parade (it's great to see what new balloons they've come up with, as well as see the old favorites. One year, they even had Sonic the Hedgehog!). Then I hang around with relatives and entertain my younger cousins (I'm planning on reading the first Artemis Fowl book to one of them. I think he'll just love how smart Artemis Fowl is.)
As for the food, we have turkey, stuffing, corn, (or some other veggie) and cranberry sauce for lunch.
Have you started Xmas shopping yet?

No, don't have the cash. I usually don't do it til sometime in early December. Less traffic in the stores that way.
Opinion on Christmas decorations being put out in August?

I'm kind of cynical about how the stores like to get the Christmas stuff out so early. It kind of ruins the spirit of the holiday when making money is more emphasized then the true meaning of the holiday. Of course, the media usually tends to scoff at Christianity, so it's to be expected.:shady:)

Furen (post: 1435838) wrote:Think Christmas in July would be a good thing?

I really don't think so, because in a way, Winter really fits Christmas. You see, the world was dead before Christ came to it, and many plants and animals "sleep" during winter.
Atria35 wrote:Favorite feel-good movie?

My Neighbor Totoro always makes me feel good.
Least favorite food?

Green olives. They give me an upset stomach. Strangely enough, I can handle black ones fine. And black olives are really the same thing as green ones, they just have more time to ripen.
Right-handed or left-handed?

Southpaw here. Which means left-handed.
What anime/manga titles do you think your library is going to get next?

I haven't the foggiest idea.
animefanatic777 wrote:1: Do you like my signature? :3

Sorry, I normally don't pay attention to signatures.

2: If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I like my name, so I don't want to change it.

3: Most Iconic video game and anime character to you?(Both good and bad!) =D

Well, I was around before Donkey Kong, (where Mario made his first appearance, but he was called Jumpman) so I'd say Pac-man is more iconic.

4: What game systems do you own?
I own a Nintendo Wii.

5: If you could have two super powers what would they be? =D
Telekinesis (moving things with your mind) and Telepathy (talking to people with your mind)

I guess we're doing fine. He hasn't called me up yet. We have a decent relatonship.

2: Favorite number and color?

For some reason, I like imaginary numbers. Maybe it's because I like seeing error messages on scientic calculators when they're used. Favorite color would be yellow.
3: If you could jump off a building 100 Stories high, and live with no harm done to you, would you? XD

It's Super-lobster, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Eat that, Superman!
4: The most moving(Emotional) song you've ever heard?

It used to be "Angel" by Sarah Mclachlan or "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Then I found out they was a song about drug abuse and suicide, and suddenly I wasn't sure I liked them anymore. Still a pretty sad song though. Now it's "Unbreakable" by Fireflight or "We Belong" by Pat Benatar.
5: Paper or plastic? XD

Plastic. I don't give a hoot about my carbon footprint, Al Gore.
Atria35 wrote:

If you really want to tick me off, insult someone with a disability. I spent a lot of time in special education classes, so I have a soft spot for people like that.
2. Moment that made you feel all gooey inside

That would have to be when we first got our dogs when they were still puppies. Puppies are so cute and small! (Note: I put plural because each dog we've had made my heart melt all over again)
3. Hidden talent?

I'm actually good at coming up with voices for characters when I read. When I read to my younger relatives, I often use voices for different characters. I'm not that good at female voices, though. You should hear the voice I thought up for Artemis Fowl. I made him sound like some smug British kid. (I probably should've done an Irish accent, but I can't make my Irish accent sound smug, so I chose British instead. I got the idea from the actor for Draco in Harry Potter. Man does that kid do a good smug voice!)

1. Best part about your day

I'd say around two or three pm-ish. Problem is, sometimes around here the temp can get pretty high at that time in the summer.
2. Favorite takeout?

My family doesn't order out much. But if we do, I like getting chinese. I especially like wonton soup and Mongolian Beef.
3. Thing you'd like to tell the world

God loves the world. And there is a God!
4. Something that made you think

I'd have to say any of C.S. Lewis's non-Narnia books made me think, especially The Four Loves and Until We Have Faces. They both really make you think about what love is really about.

Fish--to eat, yes. As pets, no.
snow anything--yes, but as I've often said I have to go out of state to get my snow.
soup--have it almost every day with Ramen
TV--of course!
Opera--never tried it, but I do like "Ride of the Valkyries" from Wagner's Ring saga. (aka "Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!")

Atria35 wrote:1. How do you come up with all your questions?

I actually sometimes recite posts before posting. Does that make me sound obsessed?
2. What do you like best about your local library?
The fact that it's just a walk away is a nice plus. I'm serious. It's practically just down the street! How's that for convenience?
3. Favorite song from the 50's?
60's?

From the 50's I like "Johnny B. Goode". Would you believe had it not been for Back to the Future, I never would've heard of the great Chuck Berry? From the 60's, I like too many songs, but I guess I'll narrow it down to "Give Me Shelter" by the Rolling Stones or "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan. (although I don't care for his singing much, I think his songwriting skills are top-notch)
4. Do you ever listen to disco music?
I've listened to some of it. My favorite band would be KC and the Sunshine Band. (note: The Bee Gee's don't count as a disco band to me because at first they weren't one. It wasn't until Saturday Night Fever came out that they became disco. Really. I listened to their pre-disco stuff and was impressed)

Furen wrote:is this round IV cause you've done III and II and I already?
Yeah, I seem to do these on an unintentionally annual basis.
Hey isn't that Barber of Seville (or something like that)?
Nope. It's Ride of the Valkyries. There was a cartoon called Rabbit of Seville that was done to that opera. Note: Barber of Seville is not done by Wagner. I believe Mozart did that one.

Can I cheat and say the entire Star Trek franchise? Really, it was the best. Well, except DS9 and Enterprise.
Dream car?

A VW Beetle. Preferably yellow, so I can feel like I'm driving Bumblebee. I might even spraypaint the autobot logo on the hood. (I once saw a car on TV with a Decepticon logo on it. If you can get that done, I wouldn't be surprised if the Autobot logo was doable)
Ever ridden in a hybrid?

Nope. No one in my family is that environmentally conscious.
Best part about Thanksgiving?
Spending time with my relatives.

Which anime would you sell? (can be made up, but you may have to develop a plot)
