Well, I suppose I'm not well-read on Australia, but America has quite a few drunk drivers, something the many programs we see in school about how bad it is never seem to stop, but that, for instance, wouldn't be a problem with self-driving cars. Also, people who are bad drivers but aren't necessarily drunk also don't have to have driving problems. There's more but my head isn't feeling great so I don't want to write a long post.Warrior4Christ (post: 1430651) wrote:Well.. the leap from no car for the masses to an affordable car for the masses is a great advantage to the masses. A massive leap.
A leap from a person-driven car to an auto-driven car is... not a massive advantage to the masses. Great for lazy people, sending off your children to school by themselves, and um.. anything else? It seems the huge extra cost would not be worth it to most people, at least initially....
