Do the Anne books count? If not, then the Ranger's Apprentice books are definitely worthwhile reading. But by the time you read this, I will have sent you a note on Shelfari, so you already know my opinion on that one.

How many dvds do you think you own?

I'd say somewhere around 20 or 30, if you count the discs in boxed set as one per volume.

I'm a sci-fi fan as well as a fantasy fan (why else would I like Doctor Who or Star Trek?), so the answer is yes.

I'd say Narnia. Where else can you find a god that'll let you cuddle up to it?

It's kinda small. In fact, most of the time, I have to order books from other branches or even other cities and/or states.

The Vatican City (which is both a city and country, so it works) or Tokyo (although I'd probably get claustrophobic, considering that it's so densely populated, if Whisper to My Heart is any indication.)

As I indicated above by stating that I like Rush Limbaugh and Bernard Goldberg, I am more of a right-winger when it comes to politics. So I don't watch stuff like Daily Show or Colbert Report.

Favorite time period in history?

I like the middle ages and renaissance best for the art and atmosphere. I like the 1960's for the social reform and the music.

Do you prefer humorous political commentary or serious political commentary?

A little bit of both. Ann Coulter is another one of my favorite political commentators, and she can be pretty good at snarking.

No. I'm not much into war movies.

In any case-
Radio station you always have on in your car?

Actually, I don't drive. I don't feel like I could drive safely as I have difficulty focusing and making quick decisions. Heck, I can't even drive well in racing games! However, I do listen to the radio in my room sometimes. When I do, it's usually on Lifesongs (a local Christian Rock station), 106.1 ("The Eagle"--great mix of classic and current rock), 99.5 (talk radio), or 800 AM (Christian talk radio)

Favorite winter activity?

Unfortunately, my current residence doesn't have much of a "winter", as we rarely get snow, and when it does, it never sticks. So I really don't have much I like to do in the winter these days. But when I did live in places where snow actually fell, I liked having snowball fights.

don't really have one.

Favorite holiday?

Christmas. And if you count days that the Catholic church calls "Holy Days of Obligation", I like the Assumption (we Catholics believe Mary was taken body and soul into Heaven. This day commemorates that event), The Immaculate Conception (celebrates Mary's birth), and the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

Do you like Haloween?

Unfortunately, my neighborhood doesn't do trick or treating. As a child though, I liked Halloween a lot. To me, it's just an excuse to dress up, nothing more. These days, I have my own unique way to celebrate--I watch a horror film every week of Halloween.

Scott Bakula (played Dr. Beckett on Quantum Leap. Very good acting in many episodes!)
Patrick Stewart (you're a Star Trek TNG fan. Do I even need to elaborate? Besides the dude acted in Shakespeare revival!)
Jack Nicholson (you saw the Shining, so you can guess. But if you want some real good acting from him, check out The Bucket List.)
Morgan Freeman (he played a great God in both "Almighty" movies)
Humphrey Bogart (watch Casablanca. Then tell me if you agree)

1. I think it was most likely a Dr. Seuss book
2. Since The Scarlett Letter has an adult theme, I guess that could be it.
3. Encyclopedia Brown, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew (I loved the adventures where they teamed up!), The Three Investigators (with "Alfred Hitchcock! (not really)), and Choose Your Own Adventure. I also enjoyed Pippi Longstocking (it's a real shame no one's been able to faithfully adapt this masterpiece).
4. Quite a few, especially his ones involving cows. The best one has them eating a steak and saying "Odd..We taste like chicken." I think his best God cartoon has God sprinkling a saltshaker labelled "jerks" on the Earth and thinking "And just to make things interesting..." (That's our Chaotic Good God for you!:angel::thumb:)

Actually, even with a few hurricanes, my life has been somewhat bland. So, no, nothing in real life has ever scared me.

It (based on the Stephen King book). Featured Tim Curry in his best role ever, even better than his narm-tastic Dr. Frankfurter in Rocky Horror

Always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Not everyone is untrustworthy. I always believe everyone should be trusted until you are given a reason otherwise. Maybe I'm naive, but that's just how I am.

Microsoft Internet Explorer, most of the time. When I go up to my Aunt Paula's house for our annual reunion in May, she uses Mozilla, so I have to use that.

I don't keep up with new anime appearing in Japan. I figure it's going to go online or on DVD eventually anyway. I am looking forward to the arrival of the new Trigun movie, though.

Any upcoming books/movies you're looking forward to?

I'm eagerly awaiting the movies based on Dr. Strange and Ender's Game (the latter has been in development for ages. The former is being written by Neil Gaiman and directed by the same man who did Pan's Labyrinth: Guillermo del Toro. You can't go wrong with that pair!)
As far as books go, I can't wait for:
Towers of Midnight(book 13 of the Wheel of Time series)
A Dance With Dragons (the 5th book in A Song of Ice and Fire. He's been writing this one for at least two years)

Most frustrating thing about writing?

I get writer's block very easily if I write quickly. To fix this, I write a chapter a week so my brain will work on the plot in the background. I hope.

When did you get the idea for "Kayla's Wish"?

I'm not quite sure. I think it started when I was reading the Time-Life series The Enchanted World, which is a series that examines folklore. In their book on fairies and elves, they talk about children who were kidnapped by fairies and turned into fairies themselves. In fact, the whole "blue for a boy" thing was started because of fairies. Blue is supposed to be a "holy color" because it's associated with the sky, where heaven is. (that's why I originally wanted to create God-fearing fairies. I don't want to say anything else because I'm going to spoil stuff.

Somewhere on the bottom rung, so I wouldn't get any action. If it were classic Star Trek, I would pray to God that I never wear a red shirt.
