Yeah, my mom's not too crazy about manga/anime, so I pick and choose. I like Shugo Chara, Yotsuba&!, Fruits Basket, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'd really appreciate some recommendations. I believe there is a thread for that, I will go seek that out. xD

Oooh, Shugo Chara, Yotsuba&!, and Furuba are all great series. You may also enjoy Ouran High School Host Club or Air (TV).
