HSotD 2- GAH! The fanservice! And.... I hate that pink-haired girl. Seriously?! Whining over
having to kill a zombie, when the guy protecting you has run out of ammo? Are you THAT stupid?! Apparently so. You would be the next victim if I had my druthers.
On the other hand, I like the kendo captain. Not as much fanservice as the other girls, and she seems to actually have some sort of brain rattling around in her head. Thank goodness.

Every time someone complains about stuff like this, I imagine what the chances are that the person complaining would survive a zombie invasion. And then I consider the fact that there's a reason Left 4 Dead is called Left 4 Dead and not Left 2.5 million Dead or Left 32000 Dead or even Left 47 Dead.

But at least if I died, then I would die
attempting to crush a zombie's skull
But considering that the people who sat around and whined about stuff like that would be least likely to live anyway, you can assume that she's merely there to create drama and be fanservice.

The gist of what I said was that I'm highly skeptical that the average person can say that with certainty. Sure, we can say that we'll go down fighting while we're sitting at our keyboards, typing words on the Internet. It's entirely another thing to be facing down death. People act differently (maybe even irrationally!) under those circumstances. So unless you've actually been in a life or death situation, I'll be taking your claims of reliability during a zombie invasion with a grain of salt.

Also, people change. It's called character growth.

Shangri-la 8-11- okay, it's shaping up. But why should an anime take 9 episodes out of 24 to really get it's feet on the ground? There are still strong economics, but it's taken an aside to more dramatic events, like the girls meeting and 'great world change' hsppening.

Occult Academy 1- Hmmm. Reminds me of Princess Resurrection. Strong female lead, attacks by otherworldly creatures.... But it also seems like it has potential. Withholding judgement for now.

Air TV --Complete -- so that was AWESOME! up until ---
dude. so Yukito turned into a bird so he wouldn't die and she wouldn't die but she died anyway and the girl in the sky is still suffering so nothing was resolved...
However, I still loved it up until the last three episodes (the last one which still made me cry because it was really sweet.)

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clain ep. 2 -- good ol' cheesy, cliched shounen. Gotta love it. (not to be taken literally to all you people who dislike cheese, I know I'm often alone in that love. :P ) This is fun, though I'm glad it's a short series because otherwise it would be a little too boring for me. But here is hoping it gets better!

Also watched episode 38 of D.Gray-Man and skimmed episode 1 of Inuyasha just to see what the deal was. D.Gray-Man remains to be a blast, I love it! Inuyasha...er...seriously creeped me out, even if that was the least annoying female lead I've seen in anime for a long time. I wil not be trying it again any time soon.

Omigosh!!! I'm so glad you liked it!!! It's one of my favorites <3 Yeah, the end didn't make much sense to me, either... But it was still very sweet ^_^ I didn't cry while watching it, but that night, I couldn't sleep I cried so hard... o.O

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ep 16-17: Still great, and still following the manga pretty well ^_^ The only REAL thing I have to complain about is Lin's English voice... I really, REALLY am having trouble accepting this... His Japanese seiyu was far superior v_v And haha, I'm watching it with my mom, who hasn't read the manga XD Which is torture for me, because
she doesn't know that Mustang didn't kill Maria... and that Mustang isn't talking to some random girl on the phone... and that he's actually still really awesome XD
Also, I wish that they had kept some more of the dialogue in... A lot of my favorite lines have been kicked out. Still, can't complain, they're doing a pretty good job with it, overall :)

I can see that. I think if I hadn't been so out of it while I finished it, Air would have left me crying all night too....it's so...whimsically sweet. (I love that anime has given me an excuse to overuse the word "whimsical" :D )

Starting 07-Ghost, mostly just to be able to compare a manga to anime adaption since I've always watched anime before reading manga (if I read it at all). So we'll see how this goes.

Saint Tail episode 12.... Anime episodes that include Christmas always make me lol for some reason

And I've started watching Claymore! I've only seen the first episode, but it looks quite promising! I loooooove that ending theme  And...did I detect Romi Paku already, or am I just fanspazzing ahead of myself? I didn't catch the name of the person I think it was, so I can't check it. Humph, can't be sure when she doesn't play young men! :shady:

Well, according to ANN, she is in Claymore, as Teresa. Don't know if this is the character you heard or not...

Tales of the Abyss episodes 12-13.
Character backstory spree, apparently ^_^ First I was like "Awwww :'( ", and then I was like, "Wut?" and then, oh-so-surprisingly, I refell in love with some of the characters. And I'm marveling that with all that epic-ness, I only just hit the half way point. That's an RPG based story, for you.

I've still got K-ON!! and Kaichou wa Maid-sama! from last season. This season I'll be adding:
Shiki: Not bad for setup; pretty high expectations based on manga/novel praise
Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin: Unexpectedly amusing and the most interesting Anime no Chikara show thus far
Highschool of the Dead: Zombie movie in anime form in every aspect
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatchi: Amusing enough so far to overcome the mediocrity of its premise and characters
Sengoku Basara Ni: The hope is that it will put enough guns on to capture the glory of its predecessor
Amagami SS: Four episodes is probably not enough for a satisfying arc

Devouring Soul Eater part 4. Just finished ep 45 and I nearly cried when
it looked like Chrona died. Fortunately, s/he didn't! Funny how attached I became to that character, since I didn't really like Chrona at first. S/he is one of my favorites now. I am hoping, though, that Ragnarok really is gone...Also, Stein is BACK! w00t. And hopefully, Medusa really died this time around...lol.
I love it when pre-orders arrive early. :)

Nothing airing this season has really captured my attention, so I've been taking advantage of Funimation and Crunchyroll streams and to catch up on a bunch of shows, one of which is Soul Eater. I certainly like the art style, and the characters are fun and hilarious ("YAHOO!"), but there are definitely things I dislike immensely about the series (read:Blair). I didn't know how I felt about it, until episode 21 and the cuteness of this ending (spoilerific!) told me that...I liked it. =)

Yeaaahhh....I pretty much bawled my eyes out there. xD

07-Ghost 8-13 -- still enjoying this. it's fun. angsty as all get out, but hey, fun. I am also continuing to enjoy my first "manga first, anime second" comparison...

Kaiba 1-3 -- bad thing to start at 2 in the morning. but pretty sure I am following best I can follow. Loved episodes 1 and 3, was disgusted with episode 2. Artwork is awesome, music is amazing and character is very defined (somehow amidst the body swapping) and deep. =)

Shiki ep. 2 -- Okay, liking this more and more, though I do hope it picks up the pace a bit. If I were watching this one episode after another I think the pacing would be fine, but so little has happened in the first two episodes that I almost forget the little that did happen a week ago. But we'll see, two episodes is too early to tell.
