I'm watching Devil May Cry. It's so well put together, it has fairly realistic animation which I love (no pani poni dash/lucky star!) and the perfect mix of tender/endearing moments and high-action. The ending is also very fitting, the song is sad and sweet.
And Dante is a babe.
XD

Great anime so far!

Last night, I finished:

:sniffle: Episode 25 of Fullmetal Alchemist (not Brotherhood; I know, I'm behind)

An episode of Mushishi (I don't remember which episode; the one with the tooth and ancestors that the people have appease)

An episode of xxxHolic (once again, I'm not sure of which episode; the ghost stories one)

I was watching xxxHolic and Mushishi on the Funimation channel, so that's why I don't know the exact episode.
:hits_self <----This smilie made me laugh. I'm not really sure why...

Cowboy Bebop 2-10- after chewing over the first episode for a while, decided to watch some more, and I'm hooked! It's funny, it's dramatic.... even though Fay's normal attire is a little skimpy for my tastes, everything about the characterization to the detail in animation to the stories more than makes up for it. Classic indeed :)

I have decided to drop Full Metal Panic! from my list of shows. I suppose I just don't like the premise of it. Also, the only legal places to watch the show online only have the first eleven episodes.

Seeing as how I still want a good mecha to watch, I will instead try Eureka Seven. I've seen a few episodes of it in passing, and I think I'd like the premise of it a bit more than FMP.

That's a shame about FMP!, I really enjoyed it for what it was. You're close to the best parts, too.

Eureka Seven is fantastic though, I hope you enjoy it. But on topic.

Watched Durarara!! 18, which I look forward to this arc/light novel immensely. While I loved the last one, it didn't have quite as good a feel as the first 12. But I can't wait for this arc.

Also, Honey and Clover episode 3, which remains good, especially during the less crazy parts.

Saw episode 58 of FMA: Brotherhood. HOW DOES THIS GET EXPONENTIALLY MORE AWESOME WITH EACH EPISODE?!!! :wow!: And...I kind of fangirled when I saw a cameo appearance of an old lady who looks exactly like Dante from the first anime :red: (I don't even like Dante!)

And I watched Busou Renkin episode 23 - random amusement park episode :eyebrow: I guess it's the calm before the storm.

And Kaitou Saint Tail episode 7. Guffawed at one point, rolled my eyes at another. "I can't see her face because I'm crying too hard!" :forehead: (There was tear gas in the room.)

Cowboy Bebop 11-12- 11 is like what my fridge was like last weekend. LOLZ! This is still wonderful. Episodic, which is nice, because I could show that episode to my brother for a good laugh. And it's still really awesome.

Keeping up with (organized in tiers):

Elite Durarara!! -19 and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - 58
Superb House of Five Leaves -7 , Cross Game - 6
Very Good Natsume Yuujinchou - 10
Enjoyable Heroman - 7

Completed:

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. Although the animation is not to everyone's tastes, I absolutely love it and think it's beautiful work. G:TCMC also has amazing storytelling that pulls you along through an intense tale. For anyone who can handle the sexual content and digs great drama, I consider this show a must-watch.

Jing King of Bandits: Seventh Heaven OVA. The excellent, excellent soundtrack and pretty animation stand out. This is a fun show, but it's very surreal.

Denno coil, Awesome show. Best I have seen for a long time. Cute spunky charactors in a futuristic world

The tatami galaxy, Really good anime. They speak really fast in it though lol. The art is amazing.

House of five leaves, I am really enjoying this series. Awesome characters great plot and art.

But what do you think of them

Cowboy Bebop 12-18- Wow. Got the backstory on the characters, and I really feel for Faye. No wonder she's got it hard! But still keeping up the quality of the rest of the show.

Hell Girl 16 -- very sad, but very good as usual.
Monster 1-2 -- rewatching, been missing Tenma and Dieter waaay too much lately, and enjoying it just as much this time around.
Prince of Tennis 130 -- still loving it so much. =)
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock 8 -- happiness is it being like 7th or 8th century China and there being a Jukebox in a bar. Yep.
Durarara!! 19 -- YAY is all I have to say. For it being up. But gah! Another cliffhanger.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! 8 -- got skimmed....I am not a big fan of filler episodes where the entire setting, genre and whatnot is changed. It just...gets to me. Though the ending was amusing. Still loving Usui.
Bleach 272 -- I am still enjoying Bleach, though it feels a bit tired lately. This episode was lame. However, I doubt I'll ever drop it because when I go through periods of just not caring I just put it off until the urge hits again and then I can marathon... .

Soul Eater 26-36. Still very much enjoying this. For an episode or two there, I was worried they weren't going to be able to keep up the level of awesome I'd come to expect, but then it picked right back up, and now I feel silly for worrying. :)

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Inuyasha.

Also saw the first Kekkaishi episode today. It's, like, Ghostbusters...in purple. Not that that's a bad thing. XD (I actually don't know that much about Ghostbusters...) Anyway, I'm curious about what it's going to be like in the future. Before I saw the ads, I'd never heard of it.

School Rumble 14-18 -- much funness. :) I missed this, surprisingly, so it was fun to marathon. The characters are just so crazy fun!
Monster 3 -- I don't think it will stop messing with my head when I watch School Rumble right after Monster, because of both the MCs name's being Tenma and...well. yes. Incredible enjoyable, but enjyoing the slower pace of this watch-through. =)

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood episodes 8-31

This has turned out to be an excellent way to run through the series again, one last time before its conclusion. In fact, it has been so good and loyal to the source material that I have almost considered ranking it a 10/10 and putting it right up next to the manga as one of my favorite pieces of Japanese art ever. I considered doing so, that is, before episode 30 changed my mind. Previous to that episode, they had cut things and moved them around, but it was mostly little stuff, and forgivable given the time constraints.

The Ishvalan war, however, is an extremely important piece of the story, and provides the history and motivations of virtually the entire cast of military characters. It pains me, then, to see the entire Ishvalan flashback (which took a full volume in the manga) condensed into one episode. Don't get me wrong, what was adapted was done almost perfectly, but I can't help but be surprised that so much critical character development was left out. If they were worried about time constraints, then they should have just axed episode 27. Very disappointing.

A note, then, to all of you "anime only" people out there. Please, please, pick up volume 15 (thank you for the correction!) of FMA, chapters 58-61, and read them in place of, or concurrent with episode 30. You won't regret it.
