I'm almost at the halfway point of Baccano!. It is most awesome.:thumb:

Episodes 1-5 of Cross Game (see this thread): it is superb.

Episodes 1-3 of Natsume Yujincho, and it is pretty great. I knew I would like it when this happened:

Though it can tug at your heart strings as much as it can make you laugh.

Episodes 1-2 of Buso Renkin, which is actiony fun, if not much else right now.

Watched the movie Origin: Spirits of the past last night. Very nice movie. XD! Made me think of Miyazaki's work Castle in the Sky.

Just finished watching Mushi-shi episode 4. O_O! Just a forewarning for people who have not seen this episode yet, there is some mildly-intense, almost-graphic blood violence in this one. It caught me by surprise because the first three eps were actually pretty clean of this. However, this is still an interesting show. Even though I'm a bit wary about buying it, I may continue with the series because it is quite enjoyable. Oh, and since it's episodic, if blood and violence frightens you, go ahead and skip this episode if you'd like.

Finished Trinity Blood, and really enjoyed it actually. It just took past the first ten episodes for the "liking" to happen though.

Anyway, I saw FMA: Brotherhood episode 57, squeee awesomeness!!! ^_^ Fuu is teh awesome, and Goldtooth Guy is teh spooky.

And I've seen Busou Renkin up to like...episode 22 now? Climax time!

I also watched episode 25 of Death Note twice in the past 24 hours >_> Once in Japanese, once in English. Why is this strange? Because it tears me up into little bits inside every time I see it, and I told myself I wouldn't watch it again. Oh well. I have a new respect for Alessandro Juliani now. I think my "ew voices" reaction that I had when I tried to watch a dubbed episode before was avoided this time because I was used to their voices after watching the live action movies dubbed.

Unfortunately, it split the segment up...but the last bit of it is in the beginning of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw_GzwZmeHM&feature=related

Currently watching FMA:Brotherhood dubbed for the first time. I don't have cable/satellite/whatever so I had to wait for the dvds to arrive. So far, it's sounding great! I'm only disappointed that this batch of episodes doesn't include the visitors from Xing. However, I did discover who is going to be dubbing Lin, so I'm excited to see that once it's released!!

...... We're all dying for you to watch FMA. You know that, right? XD

In any case, started rewatching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Baccano! changed my perception of what anime was. Tokyo changed my perception of what genres could be made successfully. Even though I'm still not fond of the character designs, I still feel such an attachment to these characters!

I finished Gurren Lagann a while ago. It is definitely a very hopeful series, its themes of self-confidence and hope never tiring for me. However, the last few episodes did start to stretch the logic for me; I suppose you don't watch a series like this for logic though.

This show got me in a mecha mood, so the next show on my list is Full Metal Panic!

Birdy the Mighty DECODE episodes 1-13 COMPLETE
Heroman episodes 5-6

Birdy the Mighty is a home run packaged in Anime form. It also conveniently doubles as a litmus test for your average Anime viewer - deadpan read someone a synopsis of it and watch their expression.

Watched the new House of Five Leaves and Durarara!! episodes, and dropped Tatami Galaxy. I think it was a brilliant idea, and was almost perfectly executed--the problem being that for that story putting up with the crude humor (that was entirely pointless, and just irritating) was not worth it. Unfortunately, that problem killed the entire thing for me.

Also Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! 8 -- still totally and completely loving this.

Durarara!! 10-18
House of Five Leaves 1-6
Natsume Yujincho 4-5
FMA Brotherhood 50-51
Dropped Buso Renkin

DRRR absolutely blew me away. This unpredictable little show totally surpassed my expectations. I wouldn't recommend the kind of marathon viewing that I just undertook if it's your first time through; I think I probably missed a few things. My brain certainly hurts trying to keep up with everything. I will definitely enjoy the once-a-week pace, as it will give me time to digest things.

HoFL is stunning. It's more like Mushishi than Brotherhood in terms of pacing, and it has ambiance, personality and intrigue in spades. Depending on how this one unfolds, it could be one of my favorites.

Natsume and Brotherhood are great, as always (I've spoken about them a bit before). They each make me smile but in different ways.

Finished the dubbed episodes of FMA:Brotherhood, and am continuing with them subbed. I'd seen up to episode 17 or so a while ago, but stopped and never started again, so this is the first time I've seen a lot of this animated. Just finished episode 22. Whew!!!!!

Edit: ok, kept going. Just finished 26. And
Envy's true form
...is flippin' terrifying animated. *shudder* And I thought it was bad just reading it in the manga.

Watched more Code Geass, at episode 14 of R2 now. R2 is definitely more convoluted than the first season, but still entertaining.

One thing I'd like to point out is that the way Lelouch removes and replaces his contact lens is very unhygienic and I can't help but wonder how an eye infection will affect His Geass.

I just caught up on some of the shows I've been following this season, including House of Five Leaves episode 6 and episode 8 of Ookiku Furikabutte season 2.

House of Five Leaves has completely blown away my expectations, and Oofuri is...Oofuri. Yay!

Also, I just watched Fantastic Children episode 12. I'm surprised that I had never even heard of this series until recently. It is shaping up to be something excellent.

HoFL 6- I can't wait to watch the rest of it! It's so interesting, and involving, and... jus great!

Hakuouki 6-7- Well, it's the bad that gives me perspective on the good. Chizu-chan is the most obvious of plot devices- a helpless damsel-in-distress (who faints at least once an episode!). It's really rather sad, because I keep seeing where it could have potential!

Cowboy Bebpop 2-3- You know, after resting and digesting after the first two episodes, I like this a lot more. And the dog! XD
