I am about to watch The Place Promised in Our Early Days for the first time on netflix. Looking forward to it immensely.

EDIT: So, yeah. I am a wreck right now. That was absolutely amazing, just...wow. I don't really know how to accurately portray how much I loved that film. One of the most purely beautiful stories I have ever seen.

Just re-started Eureka Seven. This time, since I'm watching it on CrunchyRoll, I get to see the sub!

Episode 55 of FMA: Brotherhood. *falls off chair from the awesomeness* ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!! *is totally in love with this show*
I also saw the third OVA, about Izumi's training. XD Hilarious!

Kaitou Saint Tail episode 5. x.x You know you watch too much anime when you can't speak Japanese, yet you understand it fairly well when you watch a third of an episode in the RAW Japanese, with no subtitles. Admittedly, Saint Tail isn't that complex of a story, so it's not that hard to figure out.

And my brother and I have watched up to episode 13 of Busou Renkin. I'm liking it a bit less because of the awful bad guys DX Especially Papillon and the idiot who says, "Ore wa MooooOOOOOooonfuace!!!" Man, I hope he dies soon. Go Captain Bravo!
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

Just finished Baccano! ep 1 (both subbed and dubbed) and Ergo Proxy ep 1. (dubbed only) Am currently watching the first ep of Fairy Musketeers. A cheerful-looking anime from the usually grim Madhouse? No way!

Ergo Proxy isn't cheery, and Baccano! is done by Brains Base.

Also, just finished Durarara!! episode sixteen, which is still immensely satisfying.

It's been a while since I put D. Gray-man on hold, so I decided to start re-watching from the beginning. And managed 13 episodes in half a day. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself! (of course, I was also cleaning my room at the same time, so it's not like I didn't have the time =.=")

I. FINALLY. finished .hack//sign. I started it back in November or so when a friend recommended it to me when I was first getting into anime. It was..okay. But it just felt like it went on and on and on and on. Glad I finished it, but I do not care enough to even watch the OVAs. Oh well. However...can someone answer me this:
Did Sora die or just go into a coma like Tsukasa did?
Going back to xxxHolic now, and thinking whether or not I want to dig up more stuff to pack/clean or not.

Time for a quick appraisal of the shows I'm following, since it's the end of the first month/almost halfway through the season, in ranking:
1. Durarara!! is really kicking it up a notch, even after it did so near the end of the first arc
2. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood for obvious reasons if you know anything about the manga
3. The Tatami Galaxy took a bit of effort, but Yuasa has sold me on it
4. Ookiku Furikabutte S2 is ヽ( ゚ω゚)ノ
5. Arakawa Under the Bridge takes a special kind of person to appreciate
6. House of Five Leaves is intriguing, but I'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet
7. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! has a horrible premise, but is entertaining
8. K-ON!! is, well, haters gonna hate
9. Senkou no Night Raid still quite hasn't sold it to me yet, quite honestly; also, bracing for historical revisionism hilarity
10. Working!! could have been alright, but Inami is really irritating
11. Angel Beats! is a mess; Jun Maeda, I am disappoint

Another update (just 'cause I can) :P

Watched Durarara!! 16 and Kaichou wa Maid-sama 6, which I probably shouldn't admit it, but I look forward to it every week. It makes me happy.

I'm pretty sure that I'm the one on this board who's watching it who should be the most ashamed of watching it; you're a lot closer to the target demographic.

I finally finished Baccano!. It is definitely a fun series, despite it being so very violent.

Also watched episodes 15 and 16 of Durarara!!. Just as good as ever, if not even better than before.

I'm on episode 9 of Vampire Knight.
I would say that I'm watching Shippuden, but I'm letting this part of the story finish before I pick it up again.
I'm also in the middle of Fruits Basket (I know, I'm behind). I forgot what episode.
And then of course there's the five other animes that I started but never finished and need to finish.

Finally got around to watching House of Five Leaves 4- Interesting turn this has taken. It's still slow pacing, but I'm still getting a more in-depth feel for the other members of the House.

Also- Working! 5- ergh. The jokes are tired, the cliches are old. Not a good anime by any means.

And Durarara!! 16- YAY! Oh wow, this is SO GREAT! I don't know how they can top this episode, but I know they will!

So, I was wondering, if you don't like Arakawa Under the Bridge or Working!, why do you keep on watching them? I mean, I'd understand for shows that are plot or character driven, you might want to stick around in hopes that it'd get better, but these are gag shows and they show their cards fairly early on. You know that the rest of the season is going to be pretty much what the first few episodes were.

Because I have a 'dropped' list that I don't particularly care for the length of. I feel guilty when I don't finish an anime. I want to see whether they get any better later on. I want to see if I can ever catch onto what other people see in them. And I wonder why I don't like these because there have been other gag shows/manga that I like, like AzuDi and Yotsuba&, so I try to analyze what works for me and what doesn't.

A whole host of reasons, really.

I hear ya, Atria. For the most part, I am also anti-drop unless I really can't stand/have convictions against it...usually the latter. Also stealing part of your "updating" format. hehe.

Let's see here. Jigoku Shoujo 6 -- it's definitely slowing down a bit and getting a bit less...interesting "terror"wise, but it's interesting getting to see our main cast on a different level of non-chalant depth. School Rumble 13 -- continues to be way too much fun. Saiyuki Reload 16-18 --continues to pretty much be ridiculous yet an utter blast, and Prince of Tennis 108-109 -- continues to be just happy fun. =)

I understand the feeling of not wanting to drop something, since I used to be like that. It wasn't until I was squeezed for time and I realized that watching something I wasn't enjoying meant that I wasn't watching something else that I would really like that I started being more quick to drop stuff. That and I guess getting better at being able to judge whether a show is going to be worth it or not in the first few episodes.

I still maintain that for shows with no overarching plot that the rest of the show isn't going to be much different from its first few episodes. Especially considering the run of some of the shows, a few episodes could be 25%-33% of the show, which, I'd consider to be a fairly substantial and representative portion of the show.

Finished Hanasakeru Seishounen. It was okay; not terrible, but not great either.

Still watching Monster (I'm somewhere in the 50-episode range), Legend of the Galactic Heroes (at episode 70), and Fantastic Children (at episode 6).

Started watching Bleach recently! I'm currently on episode 54. I have to say, it didn't catch my interest a year or two ago, but I'm really into it now. The characters are all very interesting and well thought out, so that makes the show really enjoyable! :D Can't wait to see everything unravel!

Yesterday I watched FMA: Brotherhood episode 55. Great stuff.

Since everyone here has been raving about it (and recently multiple threads have popped up concerning it), I have started in on Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. This show is quite entertaining thus far; most of the characters are really likable too. I hope the fun tone of this series doesn't let up too much as it goes on.
