This.

Also: I ended my second attempt at a Wolf's Rain rewatch and began watching Romeo X Juliet again. I just finished the fourth episode. I still feel that this is a criminally underrated piece of work...a really fun, swashbuckling adventure/romanctic epic w/ great production values. The show has characters you feel for and unbelievably beautiful music. It totally deserves to mentioned in the same breath as Last Exile and Gankutsuou as Gonzo's best.

I needed something slow and ponderous, so I picked up Mushishi. This is exactly what I've been looking for in terms of tone and pacing. It's slow and thoughtful with some action thrown in, and leaves me pondering life at the end of every episode. What amazes me is that, while I don't reach emotional highs or lows, and there isn't really that much comedy, I really enjoy it.

Just finished first three episodes of Angel Beats! and although it was fun, and I was liking it enough, there were one too many red-flag moments spiritually-wise that I am not going to continue it.

Just finished 1-3 as well, and those are my thoughts, except I won't be continuing with it. It's a disappointment, unfortunately. Just kind of "meh whatever."

Watching House of Five Leaves. So far I really like it, but the homely character designs do take some getting used to.

Also, where the heck did Senkou no Night Raid go? I haven't been able to find any but the first episode anywhere subbed. I'm pretty disappointed, since this is the one I ended up liking the best of all the new shows so far.

I know, I've had the same trouble. I found a raw of episode two, but that is, well, you know, problematic. I'm disappointed too, it looked like it would be really good.

Watching some Tegami Bachi, which, while it's pretty good, the CG Gaichuu are pretty terrible, and every time heart makes one explode, I get happy, since I don't have to look at it anymore. The art style doesn't quite carry over, either. Still, this is pretty good.

I was able to finish watching Casshern Sins. Really a great series.

I also watched episode 14 of Durarara!! It still has its charm, even this far in to it.:)

House of Five Leaves ep. 2- After giving my brain time to rest and digest after the first episode, I didn't find the character designs so jarring this time around. It also seems to be very low-key for the most part, though I fully expect more action as the series progresses. I'm a bit worried about the pacing- since it's only supposed to be 12 episodes, can it take this long to get the main charrie in the group? Will the story suffer a rushed or nonexistant end? Or will I get to look forward to a second season? All in all, I'm still impressed with this show, and really looking forward to the next episode.

I just started the first episode of House of Five Leaves, did not finish it yet. Although I sorta am with Atria; its not near as dramatic as I thought it would be, but with only one (more like half) of an episode, its way too soon to be sure...
I might try to watch K-On again.

Old animu day today.

I'm on the final stretch of Zeta Gundam, which has been pretty good. I finally got around to watching End of Evangelion. While it's a much better ending to the series, it didn't really do much to change my thoughts on the entire show as a whole. Also watched some Macross: Do You Remember Love because I am too lazy to go through the original TV series. And I capped everything off by beginning on my journey of going through Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

So I, at blkmage's recommendation because he's awesome and likes awesome things, watched the first episode of Denpa teki na Kanojo. Also watched a bit of Tegami Bachi, which is good but not as good as the manga, the Tegami Bachi OVA, and episode 4 of Mushishi.

Well, I am watching Shakugan no Shana as it comes out. Nah, more like when I feel like it.

Well, as I work my way through my list of anime to watch, I have just started on Ergo Proxy. Definitely has a heavy gothic feeling to it. I'm not sure if I like it just yet, but I'm still going to give it a chance.

I just completed Cross Game, and I loved it. :)
I'm also trying to plow my way through the rest of Hanasakeru Seishounen. I'm not really interested in the plot or characters anymore, but I don't like dropping stuff halfway through... so I'm going to finish it anyway. XD;
And I started on Fantastic Children. It's really good so far.

Just finished episode 2 of Denpa Teki na Kanojo, which, while good, is one the creepiest series I've watched by far. While the first episode was creepier, this one came very close.

Just started the second season of Saiyuki. Wow. I mean, wow....I'm very grateful for the numerous english VA change warnings I'd read/been given. It's slightly traumatic and "I-want-to-cry" inducing even with the warnings. I miss Vic and Greg Ayres and basically--literally-everyone else. But I shall stick it through....

Currently watching episode 92 of Prince of Tennis.
