I am in the middle of the never ending series of Naruto. I desperately want to start up another substantial, story-full series, but alas, I have no internet and can't start up much of anything.

And I'm watching Hetalia.(which is not substantial or story-full in case you were wondering XD ) Hooray for pasta freaks!!

Watched episode 2 of Kaitou Saint Tail. Still too early for a verdict.

I also watched the first episode of Kodocha in English. Love Laura Bailey!

So, House of Five Leaves. It was pretty impressive. The backgrounds, in particular, are beautiful. The character designs aren't my thing, but they aren't distractingly weird like in Shoka. The premise has promise and I like the feel of the show. Since it's going for a more subdued, realistic feel, you're not going to see any Hiten Mitsurugi shenanigans or anything. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this show.

Earth Maiden Arjuna 4-8- Still very heavy on the environmentalism and the symbolism, and I think something's being lost in translation since I'm watching the dubbed, but overall very interesting. Very true statements about what goes into our food and crops, and why going Organic (or better yet growing our own food) is better for everyone. Of all the shows I've watched, why did this one make me feel guilty about all the research I've done on the food industry and eating what I do regardless? Because it brings it to the forefront! Spiritual bits aside, it has a very real and very true message about the environment and what we're doing to our bodies with all the stuff we put in it.

Earth Maiden Arjuna complete- The last episode threw me for a loop. Chris is a major jerk. But a surprisingly real scenario for the last few episodes:
A virus that eats all the petroleum products in Japan
Some may scoff, but consider the case of the Klebsiella planticola microbe, that was nearly released on the world and, if it hadn't been prevented from being dispersed in the real world at the very last minute, would have killed all the plant life on the world. Just as horrifying, and entirely true. So it wasn't too bad at all, and made a decent horror effect for me since I knew about the K. planticola thing.

Aside from the incredible preachiness of this show, I enjoyed the heck out of it. The pacing is amazing!

Anyway

I totally agree- every episode kept me hooked from beginning to end, with nary a slow spot in sight! If only more shows would keep that kind of thing in mind...

I have to say I understand - it's a pretty touching anime.

I'm starting to get addicted to Mamotte! Lollipop. Watched episode 2 today. Would be further if I wasn't doing homework. I'm getting the feeling that this series will either be an epic fail or an epic win for me. I'm hoping for a win.

So I just finished Heroman episode 2. This show, while not remarkably deep and I'm guessing the plot won't be amazing, but it is a ton of fun to watch. The ED stands in the ranks of great endings such as Uso from Brotherhood, Bakusou Yemeuta from Soul Eater, Calling from Baccano!, and the ending of FLCL.

House of Five Leaves ep. 1- interesting. I really don't like the character designs, but it looks like it will be a sound political intrigue/historical anime

Ummm, I just finished eight, and I'm failing to see how it would be different. The series is still great, it's just moving away from slice of life and into something...less slice of life.

I finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist for the first time. Yes, yes, I know I am behind the times but I'm done now. The ending was great. I didn't really like the whole
Al is 10 years old and doesn't remember anything.
I thought that was kind of lame. Still it was a good ending and it gave hope for the future. I am excited to see the movie and how that, hopefully, wraps everything up. The series as a whole was good but I did have issues with the very anti-God and anti-Christian message that seemed to be prominent throughout the show. I read a review once with Vic Mignogna (who is a Christian) where he talked about how he played an atheist character and it was very interesting. The show was good to watch but I don't think that I will watch it again. I hope Brotherhood is better.

I also finished Summer Wars. That was excellent Mamoru Hosoda keeps making such great movies.

..Okay. My advice is to stop now, rewatch 7, and pretend that was The End. It just goes straight into 'messed up' from there on in. *shudder*

And pardon my ignorance, but OAD?
