Heh, don't be surprise if there is another game that sells less.... Acclaim has had a few... questionable adverting ploys in their past....

Anybody recall these marketing attempts by Acclaim?

1. Burn Out 2 - To celebrate the release of the game, Acclaim offered to refund the fines of any driver caught by speed cameras.
2. Turok Evolution - To celebrate the release of this poor game, Acclaim offered to buy the rights to legally rename five gamers "Turok" for an entire year.
3. BMX XXX - This by itself is an immortal embarrassment to the gaming world.
4. There was the decision to offer to pay for the funerals of the recently deceased in return for the right to place a small billboard on the headstone advertising Shadowman 2.

I remember all of those.
Except, wasn't the Turok thing made so that parents had to name their kid "Turok" for a year? Maybe it was 5 gamers... Can't remember. ^_^;

personally, I don't know what is so "respected" about their lines of games or why any conmpany would go through all this trouble fore them, but I really hate it when big companies take all the honor and glory from the people who get them...stuff. Even if the honor and glory is almost nonexistant. I think the Olsne twins really deserve their fair share of the profits.
