Or if we have, then I don't believe you know much about me. I spend alot of time in the RP threads, because I'm an RP nerd, so I don't get to talk to you guys much. I posted some pics a little while ago in the post your pic thread, and now this is your chance to get under my skin... in a good way.

Ask any questions. This is like Formspring. Only nicer lol.

Favorite Writers: I like Asian literature like Yasunari Kawabata, Haruki Murakami, or Ha Jin etc. They're easy for me to relate to, and easy to read. The thought processes of their books are very intriguing. I also like Modern Writers, like the type of fiction you'd find on the new york times bestseller lists. Maybe not great literature at times, but entertaining. I do read classics like Shakespeare, Dickens, and stuff. Not as easy to read, but alot of good stuff in there. I read some poetry too. My favorite poem is Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas. I also read some Existentialism. Theistic of course. Kierkegaard. Though I have Nietzche and Camus on the list eventually, just to be fair.

Anime: I love Naoki Urasawa. Monster, 21st Century Boys. Amazing. I also really like Ken Akamatsu's stuff, minus the fan service. Love Hina was really good, and so is Negima. :P I like Death Note, not as much as Monster, but I enjoyed it. And Bakuman is really cool by Obata and Ohba. I respect the more "mainstream" anime like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. They're popular for a reason, and shouldn't be disrespected. Maybe not so deep, but very entertaining. Rurouni Kenshin was really good, but the newer OVAs were in short. Breathtaking. So beautiful and atmospheric. Definitely some of my faves. And I'm watching Beck right now. The musical accuracy is astounding, and watching a band type thing is alot of fun for me. Uh... list goes on and on... like Black Cat, Toradora, Samurai Champloo. I watch anime alot.

Animal: I like Wolves. And so I like Huskies because wolves will probably kill me... XD

Actors: Jet Li is cool. Only in Chinese though. American Film directors don't get Kung Fu movies enough to do them well. I like Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump and other movies. Etc...

Have you read Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit? It's the book the series of the same name is based on. It's just as good as the series, if not better. There's also another book called Moribitio II: Guardian of Darkness

Favorite Color: My favorite color is dark blue, but I tend not to do much with it. I wouldn't want a blue guitar necessarily. But I wear dark blue alot in jeans, hoodies, and shirts. My favorite guitar colors are called "sunbursts" like colors that fade to one another. Like from orange to Black. I think they're really cool.

Favorite Videogame: Hands down, Final Fantasy XII. Incredible story that didn't revolve around teen angst and romance for a change. It was an actually good RPG gameplay system instead of turn based/ random encounter scheme. The story was awesome, deep engaging characters. The music was beautiful, maybe not quite as good as other FF games, but still great, and did I mention that the story was awesome?

Guitar: I play alot of stuff. Except Country. I can shred ok, but not as good as like Van Halen. I can play his stuff, though. But my favorite guitarists are Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy, who both played the type of guitar I play right now, the Stratocaster. They're blues guitarists, though Hendrix was blues rock, so I am heavy blues influenced. But that's pretty recent, so it hasn't come up in my recordings much yet. Alot of my recordings are more alternative or Acoustic because that's what I was into, and my voice goes well with acoustic sounds.

Favorite Artist: My favorite bands are Arcade Fire, U2, and Muse. But I like alot of like Switchfoot, RelientK, the Alternative stuff. I love the Strokes. And I listen to alot of classic rock, like Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and then some hard rock like Metallica, or Creed/ Alter Bridge. Some Grunge/ Post grunge, Screamo, and a few indie bands people don't know. Beirut, White Rabbits, etc. And then I go to Jazz, like Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, even maybe Thad Jones. More modern though. And I listen to classical.

Spoons vs. Forks: Forks. They're more precise. And sharp. like me. XD

I have not read either of them yet. But since you seem to recommend them, I'll add them to my list. But its a long list...

I like suburbs, because whenever stay in a city, or the countryside too long, I hate it. Cities are too busy and crowded for me, while Rural areas are too lonely. But I do enjoy going to different places for a little bit. Cities have alot going on, and alot of life happens, while the countryside is peaceful and clean. They have their ups and downs, but the suburbs feels just right. If I had to pick anything different, though, I'd live in a city.

I don't have any pets because I am scared to watch them die. I had a fish once, that I took care of so well that it lived a year longer than it was supposed to. I loved that fish. But the day it died, I was so torn up, and cried for a really long time. I'm a pretty sentimental, sensitive person, and it would kill me to watch a "friend" die. Especially in the face that for animals, death is finality.

I have a facebook, but I only give it out and accept requests from people I know in real life. Nothing against you guys, but I don't know you personally, so its not really appropriate if I were to social network beyond the forum. I have a myspace though, for my solo Artist work. Its right here:

Dang... Deep breath. Here we go... LONG Post.

1 Did you know that you are an awesome writer?

Well no, I didn't, but I'm glad that you think so! Thanks!

2 Did you know AC is my sis?

I think I heard (read) it somewhere on the forums. Well I knew her sister was on somewhere on the site. Didn't know it was you... but cool. Hi, AC's sister.

3 Whats your fav band/musical artist?

I already answered that, lol. It's in an earlier post.

5 How many fingers am I holding up?

I'd have to say... 11. :P

6 Would you consider yourself a smart person?

Uh. I dunno. I get good grades and take AP classes, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm any smarter than anyone else.

7 Do you draw?

I draw fairly well. Not like super-good, but at least people can tell what I drew.

8 What is that piece of candy doing stuck to your back?

Oh. Its from lunch. My friend thinks that he's sir lancelot and stabbed me with a twizzler.

9 Do I ask stupid questions?

No, not at all. I don't mind.

10 If so, should I stop?

Haha. No, keep the questions coming, no matter how ridiculous they are lol. Nice to meet you.

---

Well I'm not exactly new, but thanks!

oh and since no body asked this yet though this is a christin forum... you christian?

Yes I am. Both of my parents are Pastors, and while that doesn't really mean anything about my own faith, I do profess to be a Christian.

what's your hobbies beside music, videogames and anime?

I like playing tennis, basketball, reading, chilling at the mall with some friends, watching movies, and sometimes I repair antique musical instruments. That's alot of fun.

favorite time period?

I really like today. Now is the time to be living. I couldn't live any other time period than this. But I do like to think about/ read about/ write about the Victorian era. Its very admirable, and the sense of propriety seemed very... right. though I figure I would hate living back then. No AC, Electricity, TVs, and Electric guitars... But there were pianos and saxophones. I also really like the more ancient Asian eras, even though I have my qualms with Eastern Philosophy.

you told us a bad memory, so what's your favorite one?

Huh. Tough one. Uh... I really liked this one time when I was in France. I was traveling with some of my friends to visit our church there in Paris. We took a day off from church business and went out to Normandy and the country side. It was breathtaking. Beautiful. I couldn't believe how clear the sky was. It was the perfect temperature, maybe 70 degrees. And a gentle sea breeze blew lightly across the green pastures. And the sunset that day was incredible. I took pictures that could make it into National Geographic. No lie. And then aside from the beautiful weather, it was alot of fun just hanging out with my friends around france. Paris was incredible too.

favorite flavor ice-cream?

Rum Raisin. The best. Ever.

If you were stuck on an island and had to choose one thing to help you off which would you perfer, a dolphin with no echo location or a semi giant turtle who is so heavy he requires floaties?

Ooh... the dolphin because atleast I could go places, whether or not I know where I'm going.

favorite movie character?

Ack. its too hard... I thought Ralph Fiennes made an incredibly evil Nazi in Schindler's List.

Mac or Pc?

Mac. dunno why.

---

Yeah, welcome to the forum as well, Okami Kunoichi!

---

How long have you played guitar?

Uh... Maybe 2-3 Years now. I learned my first chord maybe 6 years ago, but I never took it sort of seriously until 8th grade when I started recording.

Can you play Stairway to Heaven?

Yeah. It was actually one of the first songs that got me really enjoying guitar. But everybody hates it when other people play it, because everybody plays it. So when I play it, I have to play the whole thing, because most people only play the intro. The solo is really cool though. Jimmy Page actually plays the song on a double neck Gibson SG. Well I hate SGs, and most other all-mahogany guitars, but for some reason, he really makes that solo sound sweet. Its not too hard, but its just the fact that he did it at all. My favorite solos are the ones that are simple, but huge. This is one of them.

How often do you play?

Its really sporadic. Sometimes I play for like 5 hours one day, but then not at all the next day, and then sometimes I get alot worse after not playing for a whole month. I feel like I haven't gotten that much better lately.

Do you consider yourself a good/fair player?

No. Every time I think that I'm good, I just watch a video of like Paul Gilbert, or Joe Satriani. I feel bad, but it inspires me to play more.

---

Favorite historical figure?

Um.... I have no idea. I'm no history buff. So I'll say Martin Luther King to be safe.

---

Whew. I have too much time, don't i? :P

I like the moon I guess. It's mysterious but benevolent, and has faces we may never see. Even still, it lights up the darkness when it can. And its pretty when it does.

My lack of knowledge on Harry Potter is probably one of my worst traits. haha. I've never read any of them unfortunately.

I don't listen to much J-Pop, but I like J-Rock, like Nightmare, Bump of Chicken, The Pillows, The Gazette.

My username is one of the characters I've created in the past actually. A sort of ronin samurai cross with a knight. I thought he was pretty cool, and his name was simple. Actually, I found out the real meaning of Strafe later on, but since it was still a pretty cool thing, I decided to keep the name for the character and myself.

Real ninjas are boring. They look nothing like people think they do. They dressed in civilian clothes and killed people with farming tools. Naruto never really happened, obviously, and neither did men in black jumpsuits. Assassinations were carried out with spades by some random farmer looking person. So samurai are cooler IMO, with their high class sense of refinement, and ability to be openly awesome. Admittedly, a Samurai would always lose to a ninja unless he found out that the other person was a ninja... look at me taking this all serious XP

It would suck to be a Pirate, but they'd beat up any knight. Albeit the quintessential forms of both were in different time periods, but Pirates are crazy.

Still. Ninjas over Pirates. And Ninja Pirates, even better. :P

Every muffin I've ever eaten was dry. Cookies.
