So in a effort to you guys better and visa versa feel free to ask me anything and everything. If you want to help me get to know you better as well, when you ask the question(s) - answer them as well about yourself. Question Answers. - Round 1 (That was a good first date lol)

Postby Reon » Thu Mar 04, 2010 1:53 pm

@ rocklobster

Favorite Writer: Ron Mehl (only read his book After Words but man does he holds my attention and it definitely feels like someone you've known forever is talking to you).

Any Pets: The family has a Maltese. (Link to pics hosted here)

Favorite Anime: Cowboy Bebop is pry my favorite, just the freedom it appears you have in space (of movement, property, silence, beauty etc). Then all the cool ships =D Eureka Seven & Last Exile tie for second. If we include anime movies that's another story.

@ acgifforg

Favorite Band: That's tough... Hillsong, Lacrae + Flame, Relient K - pry undecided, but Hillsong will pry always be at the top in terms of listening to consistently.

Favorite Seasons: Pry Autumn - Ever read the Red Badge of Courage? There's a part where he finds a dead body amidst a surreal landscape, really paints a picture for you and even though death is there its so peaceful. And for this reason: Picture

Collect Anything: Somewhat, I put verses on my wall and with a few of them now I've actually collected pictures, put the verses on them, then framed them. Those will pry follow me around. Example would be one hanging above my bed that I printed out of a lion and a lamb (same picture different texture here). It has Psalm 4:8 on it which I wrote using a calligraphy pen/notebook for letters "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe." The other one on the other side of my room is a picture of an angel coming down from heaven, definitely a lot darker with Revelation 20:1-3 (bought a small copy from 12 Stone Art). Anything picture wise friends give me I'd keep if it has spiritual/Biblical symbolism.

Other animals that just look legit, lynx, tiger, puma, panther, cougar etc.

Round 3 - Let the 3am ramble begin!

Postby Reon » Sat Mar 13, 2010 3:18 am

@ SailorDove

The Last Picture Came About: I was in Vegas with the family and those are the doors into the MGM hotel. Just felt like having a lion for a head 0.o You don't? Totally premeditated.

Greatest Virtue: If I had to guess I'd say truth. Even when I wasn't saved the only thing I saw lying do was be destructive and have no point. Now that I've gotten saved I've only reinforced that in my life and at the same time tie 1 Cor. 8:2-3 into that truth "The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know, but the man who loves God is known by God". So basically no lying and understand no matter how right I think I am it comes down to loving God. (as I loved you so must you love one another, by this all men will know that you are My disciples)

Learning Now or Recently from Jesus: To really put Him first in everything I do whether that be my finances, the way I talk to others, the time I spend, really just let Him guide my life. I know that's a real basic thing were supposed to get down but I'm slowly learning how to do that more so, what I watch, who I talk to, the love I show them, my tithes and offerings, and especially patience. It's been a little hard but made it a point not to date for the entire past year, now as the year has come to a close it feels great. Going to Bible college right now and a few small doors are opening and as they progress I just need to remind myself I'm doing God's will and not my own. (Ezra and Nehemiah atm)

@ Roz

Favorite subjects in school?: Bible now haha (attending a small Bible college) but pry psychology and philosophy.

Do you consider yourself a happy person?: Absolutely! When all hope seems lost, dive deeper! There's so much to do to not be happy about and when I can't socialize I dive into studies (like those two favorite subjects, or science, comedy, so many interesting things int he world - I can rant about it in person).

Would you pick up a hitch-hiker?: Well I'm pretty sure hitch-hiking's illegal. If I was married and had kids, probably not because I have a responsibility to keep them safe. Right now I pass by guys and many times want to see if they need a lift. If I saw someones car broken down and felt led by God, absolutely. Then again my youth pastor let a biker stay in his house before, he had even been practically assaulted but God's love came in on top. So... drawn out response - If they weren't looking to hitch hike and it seemed like God was pushing me to, yes. ... *ponders*

Least favorite anime: hmm... I don't know what it was called but it was a guy on Adult Swim, old school graphics who was a detective or cop (not inspector gadget). Just felt boring everytime it was on TV back in the day. If that rings any bells lol, I obviously didn't care much for it.

Does life scare you?: No. Do moments in life scare me? Yes. Trusting in God is easier said then done when your in a tight squeeze, but hey, practice makes perfect. God's ways are higher than mine. It's reassuring to know this life is just a moment, I remind myself that. Even if I was being tortured everyday (hypothetically) I want to have God so ingrained in my head that it's a blessing to even be alive and have the ability to worship a wonderful God. Especially considering is seems the more suffering I go through the more I cry out for God and remember His mercies (no I'm not a masochist lol).

If you were stranded on an island and could bring 5 things what would they be?: If I had to be stuck on the island for awhile (thus not being able to call for help/build something to leave the island) I'd want a Bible, a tent, a sleeping bag, a shovel, titanium knife or machete. (possibly )

Do you like Zero bars? 31g sugar 0.o I've actually never had one but if I run into one I'll buy it and let you know. Hershey makes everything delicious ^^ Oh and I love the vanilla "Powerbar", which I hear quite a few people don't. Now I just eat EAS protein so don't go out and buy those anymore. Are you addicted to Zero bars? lol

P.S. Long time no see =) Welcome to the Q & A, glad you could make it. Feel free to shoot some more questions, I love multiple questions and invasive people (my life's an open book).

In a perfect world where candy bars don't make you fat? YES. Right here right now, no. :(

Feel free to shoot some more questions, I love multiple questions and invasive people (my life's an open book).

Ok then. I will be intrusive in your open book life. ^^

Is the girl in the picture your sister?

If you could pick at least 5 questions that would be your very favorite to answer what would they be. And then answer those questions. They can be as braggy or silly as you want.

What kind of questions do you like to answer?

What Bible passage helps you get back on track with God? (I know, big question but what passage or passages come to mind?

How are you so comfortable putting real pictures of yourself and you real name and everything on the internet? (have wondered this for a while o.0)

Do you like new friends on Facebook?

What was your favorite vacation?

Brothers? Sisters? Do you like your family?

Watching a movie helped time fly while typing

Postby Reon » Sat Mar 13, 2010 11:50 pm

@ rocklobster

Ever read Chronicle of Narnia books?: If listening to the audio series and then buying them to listen to them again counts, yes.

Favorite actors/actresses?: Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, for actresses I had to pop open a list, horrible with actresses names. Natalie Portman & the girl from the Chronicle of Narnia movies.

Image

@ Roz

Is the girl in the picture your sister?: Nada, a friend from my youth group. Birthday party!

Five Questions/Silly Braggy - You Choose
Do you rock at longboarding? I'm sooo super pro its not even funny (lol)
Whats the story your older sister would tell to get back at you? I pee'd up my noise when I was like seven. Daydreaming and peeing can be a bad mix.
What's one of the funnest things you've done? They have those carts to lug chairs around, a good 7 feet long at least with quite a few wheels. Our school had tossed one out because the handles were broken off... so we took it from the dumpster and started bobsledding. Man that thing was so much fun, go so fast the soles of your shoes would cause the person behind you to practically suffocate because of the rubber smell in the air and when it touched the curb would spark.
What's two things you really want to do right now? Go camping and hit up the beach for volleyball and body surfing and just relaxing.
What are things that are out of the ordinary that cause you to relax? Watching people draw and just be focused on what there doing (especially back in highschool when they'd tattoo my skin and take their time), being tickled gently rules (my gmas would win me if they tickled my back or arms lol my sisters are the same). Stayed at a friends house one time and his mom would tickle his back as she read stories, so when I was over it was a two for one deal.
Were those questions fun? lol Pry more for those reading.

What kind of questions do you like to answer? I guess personality ones to learn what a person cares about and visual ones. That's tough to say and I said the visual thing only because I'm very visual. I like discussing (coffee shops and small talk).

What Bible passage helps you get back on track with God? (I know, big question but what passage or passages come to mind?
There very first verse that pops into my head is "Remain in me and I will remain in you.", "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind & strength." I think about where it talks about Him and how He will separate us like sheep and goats. Goes on to talk about how those who inherit eternity ... 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Basically that came right after the parable of the talents (all in Matt.25) and it goes to show that God wants us to bear fruit, even if its little, to use the magnificent talents He's given us. When I think of that it helps motivate me. I like questions like this. It reminds me of that verse and I need to be talking and thinking about this more. It makes it so much more fun to discuss these verses and really impacts your life in the process.

How are you so comfortable putting real pictures of yourself and you real name and everything on the internet? (have wondered this for a while o.0) I'm in God's hands. People can feel free to track me down and I'll take the appropriate actions. Plus I messed around information searching back in the day with my buddies. If your an avid internet goer it's near impossible to hide your information, even people who are careful. I'm not saying there aren't steps you can take to be careful and smart. For example, (if anyone knows this article please link me to it) a well known news studio set up a prize for a person to change there name (completely legally etc, quit their job, sell their car, the whole shabang). Basically go Jason Bourne and disappear, they then issued out a prize for whoever could find him. He moved (if I remember right) over five times (across the state) and had to quit multiple jobs (with his new name) and people were able to track him in under three weeks, average joes too. I want no fear in my life (there are reasonable fears that I believe are Biblically acceptable. Hopefully that didn't sound absolutely crazy. And btw, that information hunting lasted for a week and never happened again over a year ago. (Don't want to freak anyone out on the forum, another reason my life is an open book, so people can trust me especially as I pursue ministry).

Breaking Intimidation
a book
The root of fear and intimidation is the love of self. Perfect love casts out fear and gives us boldness. Boldness born of love breaks the grip of intimidation. Imperfect love, or self-love opens the door to intimidation.
"Love has been perfected among us in this: That we may have boldness in the day of judgment. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. (1 John 4:17-18)."
Fear and intimidation are magnified as we focus on ourselves. Torment cries, "What about me? What will happen to me?"
Jesus said, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life..." (John 15:13).

John Bevere

I just think that quote is insanely awesome, not that it applies entirely right here ^^

Do you like new friends on Facebook? For sure, as long as I've had a real conversation with them once. Never know what somewhat else can teach you. If I can't remember where I met a person, their name, something about them etc then I'd remove them. Your pry one of the few people on the forums I had a real conversation with via PM, you do long messages.

What was your favorite vacation? Err... I don't know if I have one. Because we lived in South Korea, travel was extremely cheap so traveled a lot. Now that they have blogging and I'd take personal pictures I'd pry remember them a lot better when I went.

Brothers? Sisters? Do you like your family? Older and younger sister, absolutely. Love them =)

Geez your questions did get intrusive lol. I'll live =P Not all truth is pleasant in a world of sin. (btw if anyone wants to discuss the specific answers above, send a PM rather than in the thread)

What are the most powerful words/quotes you have ever heard?:

The Bible was written not to satisfy your curiosity but to help you conform to Christ's image. Not to make you a smarter sinner but to make you like the Savior. Not to fill your head with a collection of biblical facts but to transform your life. - Howard G. Hendricks

If you never felt pain, Then how would you know that I am a Healer?
If you never had to pray, How would you know that I am a Deliverer?
If you never had a trial, How could you call yourself an overcomer?
If you never felt sadness, How would you know that I am a Comforter?
If you never made a mistake, How would you know that I am forgiving?
If you knew all, How would you know that I will answer your questions?
If you never were in trouble, How would you know that I will come to your rescue?
If you never were broken, Then how would you know that I can make you whole?
If you never had a problem, How would you know that I can solve them?
If you never had any suffering, Then how would you know what I went through for you?
If you never went through the fire, Then how would you become pure?
If I gave you all things, How would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, How would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, Then how would you learn to depend on Me?
If your life was perfect, Then what would you need Me for?"

Author Unknown

"We live in a world where people are scurrying everywhere, turning over every rock, trying everything to find fulfillment and happiness. But I just want you to remember that everything you need - everything pertaining to wisdom and love and success and happiness and life everlasting -- lies between the covers of God's word."

Ron Mehl

Wow, good answers! I like!

What movie did you watch while typing?

I liked your questions. Now please sir, put 5 or more really randoms things about you. (favorite t-shirt color, what soft drinks do you mix, etc)

That's awesome that you're tight with your sisters. The world needs more siblings that love each other. Are any of your sisters taller than you?

Revenge. God says it belongs to Him. If someone hurt very badly or killed a person you loved dearly and you had the opportunity to wipe the floor with them how would you honestly react?

What Bible verses would help you deal with the situation above?

What helps you when you don't feel close to God and you feel like it won't get better?

You say you like to answer "visual" questions. What is a "visual" question? You can give an example and the answer to it.

Favorite superhero?: I'll go with... Iron Man. [EDIT... I have to change my mind after seeing THIS]

Last good movie you saw?: Watching it right now, Lee Strobel's "The Case for Faith".

ImageJust went to Carmel, CA today so those will be the picture shares for this post and pry the next.

What movie did you watch while typing?
: Blah... Some stupid movie called Slither (comedy/horror). Typing & thinking was my primary focus.

5 More Really Random Questions - You Choose:
Well you gave me a start =)
Favorite t-shirt color? White or black, simple v necks. The shirt in the picture following these questions (even though its not V-neck).
What soft drinks do you mix? Well... It's been a long time since I've mixed but last time I did I think it was Sprite & Pepsi. I'd definitely mix cherry syrup with coke.
Broken any bones? A few toes. The best one I think was my pinky toe. I was chasing my dog in the dark at high speeds (I know my house pretty well in the dark) and when I was entering the room just barely clipped the door frame with my pinky toe which caused me to do a complete front flip to the floor (obviously didn't know my house in the dark well enough lol). Went to my sister and told her I though it was broken, she said if it was I'd be crying, ended up being broken and now where they both should point inward, the one now points outward. It's not noticeable unless I point it out in comparison to the other.
Do you where pajamas outside of the house? Absolutely. Not a ton but when its a late night studying or early morning its so worth it.
Are you hungry? Chyeah. I shall go eat multigrain cheerios and some protein after this and then an apple. NOM NOM NOM
Is randomness getting tiring? It's normally fun only since I'm hungry my brain wants to be directed right now, be taught, learn, answer questions, creative side wants to pass out.

Are any of your sisters taller than you?: Nope, I must just eat more of my greens. My older sisters some what near my height. I do wish my little sister would be easier to be around... female highschoolers who are blood related can be tough. The older sisters a paramedic so when I'm up late I can spend time with her. That's always fun.

If someone hurt very badly or killed a person you loved dearly and you had the opportunity to wipe the floor with them how would you honestly react? : Well, I "think" I'd submit to God the feelings I had right away to make sure revenge would be His, obedience. Now if I had to protect my sister from being murdered, I'd pull the trigger in a second. I've been thinking about that one for awhile and I believe God can open up doors to stop that from happening and ask God if I'm ever put in a situation like that He guides my steps. If someone just threatened my sister, that's not the same thing. This is something I've literally asked about at both my Bible study and amongst friends within the last month. Not revenge, I think revenge is wrong - but self defense and protecting others. I rambled their a bit, half pondering/half typing.

What Bible verses would help you deal with the situation above?: That's exactly why I was pondering. I want more scriptures to understand that. I know your supposed to bless those who curse you and especially to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Verse here)

What helps you when you don't feel close to God and you feel like it won't get better?: Remembering that small changes is all I have to do to get back on track. I've realized what in my life as a sinner caused me to be ineffective in life and how after I got saved I knew I had to stop some of them, especially if I wanted to grow closer to God I had to read my Bible (although I disliked reading, even though I loved learning). Thanks to discipline that's changed, but habits can still hurt discipline and wisdom. The verse that I remind myself the most is "that I was bought at a price and am not my own". That simple fact helps so much. The second I confessed Jesus is Lord I accepted that truth. When I don't actively try to follow God, even just a little every day, I feel as though I'm rebelling. When I don't remember I was bought at a price its like I'm rejecting what my dad did for me. I'm no longer a slave to sin but a slave to righteousness, now that can be really easy to forget lol. Back to the question, when I don't feel close to God I remind myself that He's my father and wants the best for me. Reading my Bible and trying to apply it in the littlest way day by day to make my Father proud (to give Him the glory, even though my righteous acts are filthy as rags, with God all things are possible and the work He's begun in me I believe He'll finish). *A little sleepy this round about, so once again a little rambling ^^ I'm more verbal anyhoo*

You say you like to answer "visual" questions. What is a "visual" question? You can give an example and the answer to it.: Anything that has to do with a scenario, scenery, emotion. It's not specifically something that's a physical object but something I use my imagination to see. If you mentioned hunger I'd visually think of apples, the box of cereal etc. If that helps at all, can't really think of any questions right now. If you do that random 5 again I'll try to toss one in.

You ask some gnarly questions haha Definitely need to ponder on quite a few of those. Good stuff Roz =)

Favorite christian apologist?: C.S.Lewis and Josh MacDowell

How are you?: Right this second just a little tired. It was a really long and fun day with a lot of traveling (car & longboarding & walking). Definitely in a good mood and can't wait to really study for my midterm tomorrow and work on more discipline with the Lord's help. Plus I just got a bowl of cereal =D and an apple waiting. YUM.

How often do you login to CAA a day?: Some days not at all, other days once to twice (morning and night when I do the Facebook check) unless I'm pulling a late nighter. In which I'll keep a tab open and refresh.

How do you like pie?: Blueberried to the max w/ whip.

How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could Chuck Norris?: Oh snap! Well, if it could chuck Chuck Norris then it would chuck a chuck load of wood considering the Chuck Norris to wood ratio is off the charts. But, "As much as a wood chuck could chuck if a would chuck could chuck Chuck Norris".

Favorite scifi movie?: It was Starship Troopers but I haven't seen that in over a year so we'll say... the Fifth Element. They did old movies at the theatre a few months back, was off the hook on the big screen.

Favorite Action movie? Gladiator maybe.

Favorite comedy movie?: Pry Talladega Nights: Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Airplane is hilarious too. They can be raunchy if there not the TV version though. My sister and friends didn't think we'd see specific body parts when we rented Airplane. We were wrong.

How did you get into anime?: As a kid we played computer games which got me used to seeing animation, then getting an N64 and watching cartoons just made me more open to watching cartoon networks shows & adult swim + the anime I saw when I lived in South Korea. That led to me seeing Howl's moving castle and movies along that line which would be what really got me interested into actual anime.

What anime character am I?

What do you see when you think of Roz? (is that visual?)

What anime character are you?

What's your favorite old musical (you can name several)?

Favorite junk food?

If you could be in an anime what would it be?

With all the pictures of you I've seen in this thread where is one of you doing a handstand?

Are you a health nut?

Do you like baseball?

Alrighty then! There are some completely un-gnarly questions. Although I'm know the gnarly ones didn't bother you a bit, I'm sure you could eat up anything I asked you. ^_^
