Just started Victorian Romance Emma, and so far, I am absolutely enchanted. Not surprising, though, since Victorian/Edwardian England is one of my favorite times and places in history as far as literature is concerned.

Also working my way through Inu Yasha. I just finished the second season, and I'm loving it!

Watching School Rumble: second Term now, hilarious as always! Is it true this I hear that after I'm done with it and before moving onto the final OVAs I should read the manga?

Yes. The last 1/3 of the manga has more story than the first 2/3 combined, but that last 1/3 is mostly glossed over in the anime (in a "last episode" flashback from an episodes, or 24 episodes, that never happened) and you're left with the ending which STILL leaves out some story. The end of School Rumble anime was a farce... I suppose they can always animate School Rumble Z, but that STILL leaves out a crapload of important story in that last 1/3 of the original Manga. The difference between SRZ and the end of SR is that SRZ ties up most of the loose ends (but leaves Harima and a certain person a bit untied, only suggesting at their future)

It did annoy me that about half of SRZ was filler "Harima's Manga" crap, though.

Just finished watching the first dubbed episode of Spice and Wolf on Funimation's website. I don't know how long it's been on there, but I was really excited to find it! And so far, I'm pleased. It's been a few weeks, maybe months, since I saw Spice and Wolf in Japanese, so I can't remember much about the seiyuus' performances besides the fact that I thought they were great, but I'm liking everyone in English so far, especially J. Michael Tatum as Lawrence. One thing that made me gasp a little, though, is they are calling her Holo, not Horo...and I thought, uh-oh, this is gonna get ugly...I've seen several, um, heated discussions online about how her name will be pronounced, and Holo never seemed the most popular. Eek.

Naruti Shippuden 82.

This is one of those episodes that reminds me why I love anime. Profoundly moving, deeply human, great dialog, amazing scenes w/o dialog...I am totally clueless as to how anyone can write this show off as a mindless, shallow action-romp. It is so much more. Excellent, emotional stuff.

I've been super busy lately and haven't gotten to really watching anime in like, 2 and a half weeks. Plus, I've been more of a listening to music mood... So I watched today.

I got through some Shugo Chara!, FMA, and Kanon 2006.

Watching Honey and Clover again, since season one part two is on its way to me and I wanted a refresher of part one before I watch the new stuff. I think I like this anime more every time I see it.

Finished the first season of Honey and Clover and loved it! :) The first time I watched a few episodes of this show I couldn't understand why everyone was going so crazy over it, but it really grew on me, and now I'm very much looking forward to Honey and Clover II! :)

Also watching:
Monster
Spice and Wolf
Inu Yasha Season 3

Ploughing through Monster (just finished episode 5), and realized I went about this all wrong today...watching Honey and Clover during the day, and starting Monster at night was NOT smart...lol. Didn't plan that one very well.

So I guess the anime I'm currently watching are:
Twelve Kingdoms (Juuni Kokki)
Wallflower (I personally am liking the anime quite a bit better than the manga so far, mostly because it seems the sexual/suggestive content is considerably lower, or so I think it is... ?)
Ouran High School Host Club (Only seen ep 1)
Elemental Gelade (or Erementar Gerad)
Magic Knight Rayearth

Just finished Slayers, starting Slayers Next soon.

Just finished Jungle wa Itsume Hare nochi Guu FINAL, starting Mushishi. Talk about night and day. xD

Just finished Hunter x Hunter OVA Final, starting Shion no Ou. I am sad to see the addictive HxH series go. But so far, Shion is quite awesome. :)

Dropped Bakemonogatari. As amusing as the character interactions are, I really felt led by the Holy Spirit to let this one go. The fanservice, the nudity, the gore, I've never allowed a show this adult into my home before... even if the series is 90% clean, these random moments of adult content are really irking me. And apparently, next up is an arc about a nymphomaniac catgirl. So... dropped!

So I'm doing a simulwatchathon with another forum and this time they're doing Utena and Ideon. Ideon's a bit too old-school for me, but Utena's something I'd been meaning to get around to some day, so I have an excuse to compel me to watch it.

It's the weirdest thing I've watched in recent memory. I mean, it's clearly steeped in a ridiculous amount of symbolism and is set up to be a deep, thinking animu. At the same time, it's got a ton of these 90s anime direction choices, like the ^_^ faces and the huge amount of reused footage and the relatively weird art style. I'd gone into this thinking it'd be like a typical SHAFT anime, but it's an entirely different kind of strange that I'm not quite used to.

Oh, don't worry, no offense taken. I wouldn't have admitted to doing it if I wasn't prepared for some good natured fun at my expense. ;) I was just laughing with the you that was laughing at me.

Soul Eater episode 14. Of the three shows that were fighting for which one I would go through all of, Soul Eater has beaten down both Ergo Proxy and Eureka Seven, so some tight competition.
