Agreed! The live action L was the best! Especialy in L change the worLd. I can think of no main stream american actors for this. Unless Johnny Depp was younger, for some reason I think he could pull it off.

Zac Efron needs to be in a death note.

As in the notebook, not the movie.

But I interpreted that as he was/is being considered but not confirmed.

As for L, it should be me.

They should have Ellijah Wood play as Light. Hobbit Light FTW! XD:lol:

If they do have Johnny Depp be in this movie they should have him play as Ryuk or L. Yes he is an overrated actor but I could see him doing quite well with either of these parts.

i think efron can actually act (have u seen 17 again? i liked it) and i think that would b a cool casting choice as light...but i liked it better when light had no morals- it made things more interesting. and if both ryuk and misa are cut, i will b mad. where will we have our comic relief?!? and i think L should b chosen from a group of new actors-- not people with tons of experience. that would b AWESOME!

Hilary duff would b an interesting misa...LOL

Where would we have comic relief? WHERE WOULD WE HAVE COMIC RELIEF?! HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN DEATH NOTE WOMAN?!

Besides any unintentional humor, like the potato chip scene, L was hilarious. I found him funnier than Ryuk or Misa. Plus there's Matsuda, who's hilarious and epic. Though he probably will be cut too.

I could totaly see Elijah Wood as Light, he's pretty good at being evil/creeper when he needs to be. Over all I don't actualy see this movie happening in America.

Hold on, let me not shower for a couple months, muss my hair up crazily without any hair gel or wax in a way that doesn't resemble carefully-manicured spikes at all because lazy geniuses don't spend hours on their hair, put on my wrinkled and faded jeans and white shirt, and not sleep ever so that my eyes will actually have bags under them instead of emo eyeliner.
