Things got interesting. Things definitely got interesting. Rei made me go "Daww" in episode 16 though. Poor Shinji...

I'm in the middle of Neon Genesis Evangelion episode 17.

So, CENCOROLL. It's a thirty minute short-film produced almost entirely by one guy based on a one-shot manga. The main characters are voiced by Hiro Shimono and Kana Hanazawa and the music is by ryo, with the main theme, LOVE & ROLL, by supercell with vocals by nagi.

Of course, in thirty minutes, there's not a lot you can do. Cencoroll's premise is pretty neat, with the shape-shifting monster thing, and it'd be interesting to see what a series or a longer movie could do with it. Even though Cenco doesn't really do much but take orders and transform, I found myself finding it really amusing. I really liked the parts with Yuki learning about Cenco and the first fight, with the interesting transformations.

At thirty minutes, it's definitely worth checking out.

I watched a lot of Sailor Moon today. I think I only have 11 episodes until I'm done with the anime... Completely. Yep, all 200 episodes. I'm shocked.

Anyway, now I think I'll take a Sailor Moon break and watch something else... I guess I'll watch some Vampire Knight Guilty (on episode 6 of that season). Thinking of re-watching D.N.Angel or Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Thanks for reminding me of this.

Also, I just finished Wolf's Rain... RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE Why a series that focuses in character development would
kill off EVERY SINGLE character it taught us to love and care for for the lapse of 30 episodes
is something too infuriating to contemplate. I won't recover from this blues in a while.

Still, an amazing series.

I am going to start Neon Genesis Evangelion episode 20. This showing is proving to be really good, the characters are believable, the fights are good, the plot is intriuging(sp?), all that stuff. The only poor part was that I think it was a mistake to go to bed after watching episode 19 last night, as it was high on the creepy level. I think Rei is my favorite character.

Bakemonogatari, the best show of 2009, returns with the first of its net-only episodes. It's a pretty great episode and I wish it got broadcast time in glorious 720p. にゃははは。 Also, nice new ED animation; I can't wait for the Tsubasa Cat OP (Yui Horie!).

Bakemonogatari Ep 13 !!! What a great anime. By far the best anime this year (imho, of course). This episode was like visiting an old friend and renewing the relationship. I just can't get enough of this anime.

The past couple of days (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) I've seen:

*** Kimi ni Todoke This is a surprise "best of 2009 Fall Season" Winner for me. I am so enthralled by this anime, it is fantastic. I highly recommend this anime to everyone.

Cencoroll was a fun anime. I certainly hope there is more. But the author basically did the whole anime by himself. So I guess it's more of an OVA than anything else.

Just finished watching Ep 5 of Letter Bee. I think this will be a pretty good anime. The main character was a little whinny in the first couple of episodes, but it seems to be getting better.

Ep 42 of Kemono no Souja Erin. The story book format took me a bit to get use to, but this has been a great anime. Glad I didn't judge the book by it's cover.

Sora No Otoshimono - 05 Fun fun, but I'm also a sucker for fan service and eye candy.

Seitokai no Ichizon - 05 This anime occurs all in one room. It is hilarious satire on other animes.

Fairy Tail - 04 This anime was hyped so much. I've been sort of So So about it. But it hasn't been bad, so I'll continue to watch it.

Hanasakeru Seishonen - 26 Very interesting anime. Billed as a "reverse harem" it is so much more than that. Well worth watching.

Cross Game - 31 Another anime that I almost missed, this has been one of my favorite animes in a long time. A wonderful story and well worth watching and following.

The Sacred Blacksmith 05 This has been a pretty good anime too. The theme of demons and contracts with the devil makes for very interesting viewing.

Element Hunters 17 Fun little anime

Nyan Koi 05 This has been an anime that has been better than I thought it would be in the beginning. Worth watching.

Kampfer 05 Almost too yuri but funny none the less. Pretty stupid anime, but I'm a junkie... I'll watch it.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 05 "Scientific Railgun" I've enjoyed this. The first two episodes were almost too yuri also, but once pass that garbage, the reset has been great. Overall a very good anime.

Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra 05 Our life becomes a book. Humm, almost scriptual, aye? Though a little dark, I'm really enjoying this anime.

As a project (over the past couple of weeks) I just finished going back over all 170+ episodes of Inuyasha so that I can watch the Final Chapter that is now being broadcast in Japan. I still haven't watched any of the new episodes because I want to go back through the movies first.

Oh, btw, Hi everyone. I haven't been here in awhile. TBH, I totally forgot about the site :( Gomen nasai.

~td99

PS forgot to mention that I just finished the first season of Rosario+Vampire and I am now at Ep 5 of Rosario+Vampire Capu2. I've about had enough pantsu to last me a decade. Beyond that irritant, the series is really good.

I'm watching Naruto Shippuden. Maybe my memory of the manga is fuzzy, but I seem to remember that the two big events around this time happened in reverse order of what happened in the anime... In any case, I like how the Anime has been going. Better than the manga (though the manga is getting a LITTLE better)

I'm not looking forward to the Pain in Konoha arc in the anime... I may just wait a couple months before I go back to the anime.

I'm also watching Natsu no Arashi season 2, Rozen Maiden Traumend, and Umineko.

I'm up to date with Natsu no Arashi and Umineko, but I'm on ep 2 of Traumend (or, rather, I watched the first ep)

I don't like the opening for Natsu no Arashi season 2... I didn't like the first opening, but at least the song was catchy. This one is terrible. I also think the magical girl thing with the glasses was a nice throwback to Mai on School Rumble, but... I don't know, I never really liked the pure gag episodes on School Rumble either... The ones that took place in Harima's manga. That's what this felt like, but it's "canon" I guess (or not... I haven't read the manga past the first couple)

Traumend, based on ep 1, seems very angsty. "Oh no, I don't want to kill someone to defend myself, I must be a horrible person to have killed someone." That sentiment is so common in anime. Of course, eps 1 and 2 of the first season of Rozen Maiden were also very deceptive, so maybe the first ep of this is too.

Umineko. Yeah... I fell for it. At least until "Please cover your ears" then I knew something had to be up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

Spice & Wolf was a really good anime and I think you will enjoy it. The action as far as the "business aspect" sometimes left me rewinding so I could get a better grip of what was happening.

The first season was my favorite, but the second season was very good in it's own right too.

I just finished Ep 4, 5 & 6 of Rosario + Vampire Capu2. Was hoping to watch some more, but need to sleep a little :)

No, Traumend, as it names implies, IS ridden with angst and sadness and tragedy.

So, I recently got the time to track down and find the Nanoha Sound Stages and the accompanying translations. Well, most of them anyway. I started with the Nanoha A's Sound Stage, since that was the most complete, although I believe that the StrikerS Sound Stage and StrikerS Sound Stage X is done too.

So A's SS1, which is "episode 3.5" was actually not that great. It was basically Nanoha's group of friends going to the public bathhouse and Hayate and the Wolkenritter going to the same one too and barely missing each other. There was one line about Raising Heart being talkative and Bardiche only saying YES SIR that was pretty funny, but most of the Sound Stage was fairly unremarkable.

A's SS2 (episode 6.5) was a lot better. We get a lot of development for the Wolkenritter and the Book of Darkness, who, as it turns out, has actually been communicating with Hayate all of this time. We also get to see Nanoha and Fate discussing their futures at the TSAB and some explanation to how careers work at the TSAB. We also get a glimpse of Fate and Chrono's relationship. Unlike SS1, SS2 was definitely worth the trouble of finding it.

I'm looking forward to listening to A's SS3, which takes place after the last episode of A's, sometime during the week.
