Flying through La Corda D'oro. Somehow, it reminds me of Saiunkoku Monogatari - the aesthetic, anyway. It's probably the bishies with pastel hair...

First of the Negima Another World OADs came out recently. SHAFT must have major staffing issues if their OVAs look worse than their TV productions. In spite of the low quality of animation, the "airport" action scene was very much worth animating. The fact that Rakan shows up in the OP gives me hope for what gets animated in this arc, although asking it to go to Negi vs. Rakan is a pushing luck. But I guess no one will watch this unless they're a Negima manga reader.

Seasons are ending around this time. A few of particular note:

No complaints for Spice and Wolf II. The biggest concern from the last episode was that this wouldn't properly resolve itself in an episode. Of course, the uprising didn't really matter as much to Lawrence as it did for Abe. And we've also got some character development! I can't wait for the third season, although I guess that means we won't be getting volume four material (cookies!).

Hayate's second season went pretty well too. JC Staff took over production on the second season, placing them in charge of all of the Kugimiya Rie tsunderes. Their approach was to retcon the filler of the first season with manga material, which caused disappointment for people who liked the filler. Of course, that isn't really Hayate, so manga fans were a lot more pleased. Unlike usual JC Staff adaptations, the pacing was pretty solid.

Things that are ending soon that still need to be subbed: CANAAN, Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Sora no Manimani, Taishou Yakyuu Musume, GA Geijutsuka Art Design Class.

Spice and Wolf II: COMPLETE. The ending turn out to be a bit different than I expected but it was pleasing nonetheless. I cannot wait for season sahreeee.

FMA: Brotherhood episode 24. DUDE IS THIS SUDDENLY EXACTLY LIKE THE MANGA OR WHAT? :o I think the last few episodes were the first where I didn't have anything to complain about. (And being a very nitpicky fan of the manga, that's saying something.) :thumb:

I also watched episodes 8-10 of Haibane Renmei, since I just bought my rather-expensive copy of the third disk. Finally, my collection is complete! Man, I love this series to death.

I just got back from the Eureka Seven movie... I still don't really know what to think. It wasn't bad. I thought it was really good, but like the voice actors said in interviews after the movie, you have to go into it with an open mind. It was a lot different from the TV series. Many character's personalities were completely different.
Stoner and Hap were some of the biggest changes. They were more villainous in the movie and at one point Hap shoots Renton in the stomach. But then Nirvash freaks out and smashes both Hap and Stoner up against a wall, killing them both. Anemone and Dominic were also more hero-like than they were in the series.
I liked the anime's ending better, although the movie's end wasn't terrible.

Oh, and the interviews with the director were unintentionally funny. A couple of times I thought he fell asleep in the middle of a response.

I'm not watching ANY anime at the moment, because a couple of weeks ago South Africa's feed of Animax (basically the only channel I can watch anime on) decided to remove anime from the evening schedule (basically the only time I can watch it) and replace it with live programs such as Next, Solitary, Takeshi's Castle, Kenny vs Spenny, Ninja Warrior, Bromance and Shipwrecked to name a few. I miss anime :-(((((

Well, episode 12 of Bakemonogatari just gave it the extra push it needed for me to give it a 10, sitting right there next to Rurouni Kenshin Tsuiokuhen, Haruhi, Gurren Lagann, 5 Centimeters per Second, Clannad After Story, Kara no Kyoukai 5, and Aria the Origination. Look forward to continuing to listen to me rave on about how great it is.

Just finished Full Metal Panic! and was satisfied with the ending. Not quite as good as the Kamajestan(sp?) arc, but it was well done. Kurz's parts were the best, to be expected from my favorite character.

At the moment, only watching Naruto and Umineko.

It's weird seeing Naruto's anime get so good (though feeling a bit mixed up) knowing the manga has sort of gone off the deep end...

Umineko continues to entertain for the most part. Don't know what I'll do when it ends and I have to wait for the Chiru VNs to finish before they even consider animating it... Maybe the VNs will all be available in English and legitimately... I'd still rather see it animated... and with better art. And maybe with the twisted takes on Christianity left out, as while I can't speak for the VNs, the manga is definitely worse in that regard. Particularly Matsuribayashi-Hen

Naruto is getting good again? I stopped watching it and only have been reading it but the manga is getting weird.

Finished up Saki today. It's essentially mindless fun with an incredibly large heaping of fanservice (Saki characters are tearing it up in this year's SaiMoe finals, much more than the K-ON! characters, if you can believe that) and Nanoha-esque friendship. You probably won't want to watch this if you're looking forward to actual mahjong. And with the end of this show, GONZO is dead, R.I.P.

EDIT: And back to say that I've also finished Taishou Yakyuu Musume, which was sort of a cute little Bamboo Blade-esque show about girls and baseball in the 1920s. It's really enjoyable if you like slice of life and is a nice change, taking place in a time period that not too many other shows are set in.

And I haven't seen the character that actually overuses Desu, either... I have just heard about her. I find the show a tad creepy at the moment.
