OOC: What if we did one post each in between your posts, Nam?
Derek, you don't have to use more than one exclamation, or all caps to indicate your character is yelling ^^;;
IC: Maxine hid her expression from Kisho with a curtain of her black hair. She scrunched her face up; he wasn't buying any of it, just like she figured.
Sure, she was terrified of the city, and it was true that everyone wanted her dead (Ha, like that was news to her.), but none of that measured up to her real reason for not wanting to have Kisho enter that city.. He couldn't know the truth.. It would crush him.
She paused at the emotion in Kisho's last sentence. She looked up at him with a clenched jaw and glazed eyes, trying not to let her expression portray the thoughts that were running through her head. You're going to reconsider my offer later.. I guarantee you that, Kish.. She let out a silent sigh, then forced on a fake smile, tilting her head. "You're right." She paused. "I can't run from it any more. I have to face this-with you." She hesitated, then turned towards the house. Without turning around, she said "Let's head back." then made her way towards the house, her face scrunched up a little.

Nathan was relieved that Siobhan didn't think his hair was weird. She even liked it?
"Yeah, Kisho.." He paused, rubbing the back of his neck. "I wish she would be that open with me.." He let his voice become almost a mumble, not really meaning it for Siobhan to hear.
He quickly spun around when he heard Chaucer catch something. He went to his side. "A raccoon?"
~~
The raccoon struggled in Chaucer's grip. "Let me go!" When he couldn't break free, he bit down as hard as he could on the man's arm, drawing blood and making him loosen his grip just enough for the raccoon to squirm free. He darted for the door, but he wasn't fast enough.
Nathan beat him to it, standing in a defensive stance, ready to take him on, almost daring him.
The raccoon realized he was cornered. He transformed into a 5'5" tall man in his early twenties with dark hair, a brown trench coat, and a dark brown fedora. He looked like he was straight out of a detective story.
He took on a very odd fighting stance. "Don't hurt me! I know the fighting style of the panda!" He paused, resuming a normal stance. "..Okay, so I don't really know if that's even a fighting style, but I can deliver a mean kidney punch!"
Nate raised his eyebrow at the man. "Why are you here?"
"I was sent here to investigate."
"Sent by who? To investigate what?" Nathan demanded.
"The chief. I'm a detective, you see, and I was sent to investigate odd goings on here. That's all I was told. I assumed the house was haunted, and.. Obviously I was wrong.. Unless you're all ghosts?" He laughed nervously. "Listen, since I see nothing suspicious going on here, I'll just say I didn't find anything. No harm, no foul." A big cheesy smile came across his face.
