Life is collapsing

Postby Sakaki Onsei » Mon Aug 31, 2009 6:15 pm

So, here's the story everyone.

Dad just lost his job, and I haven't been able to find one. He's been having to pay my bills because I'm unable to, due to my inability to find a job (and I have applied to a whole bevvy of them. No one calls back.)

I'm on my way to Korea to start teaching in December, and I'm getting things in by the skin of my teeth. This is a blessing, I just need to get my stuff in.

Stepmom is having a problem with finding a job too.

Our lives have collapsed, and I'm holding onto my faith in God like a life preserver. I am trying not to worry, but having a hard time.

Pray for my family, and for me.

Once you get to Korea, will you at least have a more steady paycheque then?

Yes. Approximately 16-1700 a month, with only Korean tax of 3% taken out. Meaning I'll be able to save up a good chunk every month, after tithing, and pay down some of my debt quickly.

The big issue right now is that I am relying on God to get me through some of these major issues. Everytime the little imp of worry tries to weasel in, I get down on my knees and just pray.

This entire thing is teaching me about reliance on God, totally.

I have some good news to go against the gloom that I dealt with this week, and it's all attributable to God's love for all of us.

I got a job today. I'll be receiving calls putting minutes on prepaid cellphones, etc. It's something I'll be able to work 8-9 weeks on. Even with my car going a little haywire just before my meeting, God kept me calm and got me through it while I prayed. And he really came through on the job.

I am able to pay my bills for the month. Meaning Dad doesn't have to.

Which is why I want to ask of you all to continue praying for my Dad and Stepmom. Both of them are searching for jobs, and if even one of them can get a job, they'll be able to survive.

Y'all can still pray for me on things, because as the date of my leaving the USA comes closer, I'll be feeling a little more nervous and unsure. I am, effectively, leaving my life in His hands on this.
