I'm currently reading through Romans.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

My Bible-reading has been in a steady decline, so I made a resolution to read at least one chapter a day, on top of whatever Bible studies my dad suggests. So, I'm going through Genesis right now. I'm in the Noah story.

I am reading in the New Testament through Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians trying to just follow up on Paul's preachings. For some unknown reason I've just suddenly become interested in everything he went around doing after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I guess it's because a lot of what he is preaching pertains to a lot of what God and I are talking about. I feel a connection between Paul and I in our struggles here and there.

I am (still) in Psalms. Just finished the longest chapter in the whole Bible recently (Psalms 119). One of my new favorites though is Psalm 121. Love it! :thumb:

Working on the New Testament again; right at the beginning of Matthew. Though it's going a bit slowly. I'm trying to break my normal habit of reading chapters as fast as I can without taking anything in.

Randomly started reading the Gospel of John last week and working my way through it again. I'll admit that the first four books of the new testament, along with Psalms and Proverbs remain my favourite books in the Bible. I really wish I can be more structured and actually read through it once completely though. I've tried time and time again to start from the beginning, only to falter around the middle of Genesis :-(

I'm back in Psalms for the millionth time. I just adore them. I'm also reading a chapter of proverbs a day. Taking a break from the New Testament to read the Old Testament. I think I've read though the New Testament too much to get anything new from it for right now. So I switched to Old Testament (since I didn't get much out of it when I first started reading the bible). ^_^

I'm on Acts chapter 16, having started in the NT and this being the first time I've ever made a serious thing of reading my Bible. It's slow going because I often have to stop and jot down notes, look up a footnote or something (I have a NIV Study Bible) or consult my commentary book; I wanna do more than just read it, I wanna understand it, really sink my teeth into it.
