Hello, all. Tomorrow my family will find out if my mother and stepfather will have to move to Lousiana to work. The state of Georgia is out of money, and can't pay them anymore, so the only way for them to apparently hold on to their jobs is to take some of the out of state work. The contract is for three years. If they do have to move, then I will see my family twenty four times, provided that they can come home every other weekend, atleast, a year.
Making matters worse, my grandmother has Alzheimer's. I live with her, and take care of her. The case is not bad; medication has slowed its advance, and for the most part she is entirely independent, but we jsut do not like to leave her alone. I'll be starting back to school the seventeenth of this month, and be gone for a large part of each day. We are looking for someone to stay with her, but the problem lies in that she is fiercely independent, and would likely only allow certain people to stay. While she might be fine on her onw, we just don't want to take that chance. Also, if someone stays with her, I'll be taking over for them as soon as I get back from classes. As selfish a thought as it is, that leaves me with very little time for a social life, or to live a life of my own, for that matter. I won't be able to attend my youth group, since I will be taking her to church, and I won't be able to have much time for myself at all. That is very seflish to think of when so many other pressing matters are at hand, but still...it's a thought. I'm about to be twenty years old, and I'm in college. These are supposed to be the best years of my life, and yet I'm under more stress than I have ever been, and it's not easy to handle. So, I ask that you all pray for God's will to be done in this situation, and if it is possible for Him to allow my parents to stay here, but if not, to provide a solution and relief to us in these hard times. Thank you.

Well, they do have to go over there. We just don't know the details yet; they're discussing that this afternoon.

Understandable about the social situation, man. But selflessness, man. =) Whatever God wants us to do. =)

Thanks for the prayers, all...I really appreciate it. I'd like to add one more thing...lately, I've felt very distant from God. When I pray, and tha'ts a major when, I feel as if I am talking to nothing sometimes, and I just feel like it is useless. I haven't prayed as much lately as I should, I haven't read my Bible nearly enough, and I've just backslidden. I know a lot of my distant feeling is my fault, but now I"m finding it so hard to come back to Him, and with all of this piling up on my plate, things aren't any easier. It's like a rollercoaster...I feel close, then distant, then close, then distant. I have no idea why. In any case, I ask that you all remember that ,as well. Thank you all.
