Leiji Matsumoto

I was wondering if anyone here likes Leiji Matsumoto. I have been watching two of his titles on crunchy roll: Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock.

Most of Leiji Matsumoto's stuff are high on the list of things I WANT to see, yet never quite get around to watching.

I am definitely in agreement with Blitzkrieg. The main familiarity I have with Matsumoto's work is parts of Interstella 5555 because I'm a fan of Daft Punk. However, the Captain Harlock stuff looks pretty awesome.

ANCIENT anime!

Uuchuu Senkan Yamato! (aka 'Starblazers' from the mid 1970s)
They changed the battleship name from 'Yamato' to 'Argo' for US English audiences because in the 70s there were still many viewers' parents and grand parents, uncles, etc, and others ALIVE who fought the *real* Imperial Japanese Navy.

God bless them all.

I've been watching Galaxy Railways on Hulu. It's a bit over the top with the philosophical themes, but it's still pretty entertaining.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.
