You've got to look inside yourself. Positate the negative.blkmage (post: 1332277) wrote:In the same vein, someone please tell me some quick ways to not be terrible. The few times I've jumped onto a server, I was completely at a loss at what to do beyond following the rest of my team and shooting mans.
Peanut (post: 1332284) wrote:My biggest suggestion for a starting TF2 player is to learn how to play Medic and learn how to play it well. The reason I suggest this is for two reasons, one you should try to get good with several classes and two Medics are probably the most important class in the game...yet no one wants to play as them. I've played quite a few games where the team I've been on have not had any Medics and we've gotten steam rolled. Sure, it's not a particularly glamorous class, but I can assure that if you get good at it, your entire team will be thankful to have you...plus it gives you an excuse to follow certain classes and pick up tips on how to play.
Anyway, now that I've concluded my lecture, onto the classes you are interested in. Youtube has a number of videos which shows you how to play these classes. So here they are:
Spy video
Pyro
Scout
Heavy
That should get you started...oh one more thing about the Pyro...though it's my favorite class I have to just have to tell you...prepare to die a lot...yeah...
Edit: To blkmage: Youtube "TF2 How To Play..." with the class you like to play and you should come up with some videos that will help you drastically. Just practice what they suggest or get MSP to help you...that's what I did. In fact, perhaps MSP and I should drag some of you into a game with us and show you the ropes...we'll show/teach you how to play.

Anyone want to schedule a CAA TF2 night?

I'm all for it, provided I can get my Steam account working.Cognitive Gear (post: 1332317) wrote:Anyone want to schedule a CAA TF2 night?
Mr. SmartyPants (post: 1332486) wrote:A good class to start with is the Heavy or Pyro, as they can dish tons of damage in short ranges. However, don't be what is called a "W+M1" pyro. Never underestimate your shotgun! Knowing when to switch from the flamethrower or minigun to the shotgun on retreating enemies is always important.
