Kiddy Grade. They're showing all the episodes back to back today, so I'm going to try my best and follow through. About halfway at the moment.

Anyway... I heard the movie was awesome but I actually found it to be pretty boring... Didn't really care for it. Had potential, though. Nice music too.

I personally don't consider it anime since it was largely a US production based on an English-language novel. It might have been animated in Japan, but so were a lot of 80s cartoons, and those aren't considered anime. I don't think that it's very "anime" stylistically, either, unless you consider all "mature" animation to be "anime". >_>

For the record, I didn't care for it either so you're not the only one. XD

Yay! I love not being the only one... I felt it was boring and repetitive, with 80% of it being for the sake of filler. I felt the whole movie could have been resolved in about 15-20 minutes. And I was wondering what it had to do with Japan, since it didn't really look like anime to me... It reminded me of the Disney classics like Sleeping Beauty more than anything else. Thanks! ^_^

My ex-girlfriend was a rabid fanatic of Unico and owned rare (though probably bootlegged) DVD sets of all its movies. She swore by them, but in her defense, it was most likely her unbridled partiality to everything unicorn-related than the actual quality of the movies which made her held them in such high regard.

Man, to think Lord of the Rings could have been distilled to the length of a TV episode if they'd just cut out all that filler wandering around and jumped straight to Mordor after the opening credits. I feel like a sucker for owning the whole trilogy.

Wait...when did we start talking about Lord of the Rings? Am I gonna have to slap you with a herring?

Um, er, something on-topic-- I watched the first few episodes of Sousei no Aquarion recently. It was...um. Interesting. Also still working on DBZ. Stupid Cell needs to go jump off a cliff.

I think we started talking about it about when traveling movies were 80% filler that could have been resolved in 20 minutes.

Lord of the Rings has multiple endings though, so 30 minutes.

The first four eps after some fanboy was all "zomg, it's the best anime evar!!!". I had to see for myself if Orgasmobots was supposedly better than Eva or Gurren Lagann like he said. Pfffbbbbt.

I just watched Kite:Liberator. It was disappointing; it cut off suddenly at the ending, the dub sucked, and overall it just wasn't that great. Without the whole monster aspect it might have been better.

Now I'm getting back into watching Mushi-shi. I watched episode 1 months ago but am just now getting to the rest of the series, which I should finish in a couple weeks.

Finished Kuroshitsuji. Was not as bad as I thought it would be. Nothing really... odd of it and I really enjoyed the animation and art. I hope it's true about a second season. xD

The other is Tales of the Abyss.

Sure it's only like an easter egg of the game, but it was so magnificent and beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of it. And Luke was Phiiine. xD

Kara no Kyoukai 6 (Oblivion Recording): A very different chapter in the Kara no Kyoukai series. It's a lot less dark than any of the other chapters and focuses on Azaka. While it's entertaining, it's no Paradox Spiral. I'm think I'm going to have to read the novels when they come out to figure this chapter out. Otherwise, it still has the beautiful art and animation; the fight scenes are pretty fantastic and a lot more flashy because of more magic than Shiki's usual knife-fights.

I just watched My Neighbors, the Yamadas. I enjoyed it and laughed quite a lot, though I cannot see myself having gone to a theather to watch it. It's very different from what Ghibli has us used to but still, there were tons of beautiful visual metaphores and heartwarming moments so no reason to be disappointed.

FMA: Brotherhood episodes 16-17. It's getting to one of my favorite parts; I'm really excited! They also added in a couple moments in episode 16 that really impressed me.

I checked out a random episode of the Death Note dub, just to see what it sounded like. Pfff. Laaaame. L was the only voice who was possibly okay; everyone else just sounded like they were bored to death.
