Idea?

You know, with all the prayer requests we get, lots of us promise to pray but let's face it--sometimes...perhaps a lot of the time...we forget. Wouldn't it be great to have some sort of accountability program?
I have a solution: prayer partners. Groups of two or so members that agree to keep each other accountable. They meet weekly/daily (depending on access) and either pray together for things they agreed to pray for, or keep the other one accountable. I think it'd be a great way to make friends here and to see God move in awesome ways. If you want to post "teams" of prayer people, that'd be cool too, or if you want to have one just reply. Plus, if we have teams, we can "assign" prayer requests, and that way we can make sure each and every request gets air time.

What'd you guys think?

Would people be randomly drawn to be put together, or could they pick who they wanted their partners/team to be?

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

As one of the guilty parties, it would probably be a very good idea, but I echo ink's question, and add that random match-ups might be ill-advised.

No no, I definately think picked teams would be better. But you could always post like "hey I'd like a prayer partner" and see who replies to you; that could work too.

Im gonna jump on this. If ANYONE wants to be prayed for, i'd be glad to be partnered upto them. Prayer is a big thing for me. But i guess that defeats the purpose? I've been talking with weisskreuz/chic and blufire for quite a while now. I think us partnering up is quite viable (we've already started chatting and praying for each other quite a bit, even though we haven't talked for very long :))

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

I'm very open, both to the idea, and to any prayer partner. Plus, I can send whoever's my partner a list of every CAA prayer request I have. If anyone feels like they want one, PM me, I'll be on here nearly every day.

w00t! 100th post! I'd just like to say, i go off to prayer meetings quite often. If people want to be prayed for by a group of people (if 2 or more people join together in prayer, the power is greater) then just PM me. Plus i'll be reading all the prayers on CAA too. So it's all good
