1. So far, my favorite Mel Brooks movie is Young Frankenstein. Blazing Saddles is okay, and I love to watch History of the Word....the beginning of music part cracks me up.
2. Let's see....perhaps my favorite actor is Lon Cheney (the original Phantom), Johnny Depp, Dermot Mulroney, and Gerard Butler (mostly because of they are so attractive). For actresses, I cannot say I have a real favorite.
3. I usually don't cry...ever...but if there was a movie that gets me teary-eyed it would have to be The Notebook simply for the fact that the woman has Alzheimers.....the scene in Hope Floats where Sandra Bullock dances with her father with demensia always gets to me. it reminds me of my grandmother, and how difficult it was to watch her slowly die.
4. I haven't seen that movie. What's it about?
Jeremiah 29:11-"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Here's a wikipedia article about it:Click here!
It's about angels living in a town called Glie, which could be like purgatory. It's very beautiful.
1.Have you ever read any stories about dystopias? (note, a dystopia is the exact opposite of a utopia. Examples are 1984, Brave New World, That Hideous Strength, and Fahreheit 451.
2. What is your opinion of Naruto?
3. Who is your favorite biblical figure besides Jesus?
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I appointed you to be a prophet of all nations."

1. I am actually a big fan of such books. It challenges you to think. I have read a few of the books you listed aswell. Fahrenheit 451 is by far my favorite. Bradbury was ingenius in that book.
2. I really have no high opinion of Naruto. I have seen some episodes, and I find it rather boring and without lack of a good story line. I prefer either heart-warming shoujo or serious anime.
3. Hmm....I would have to say Paul. He represents rebirth and second chance in my mind. He used to be a murderer and hated God, but he came around and did amazing things for the Father. I suppose it helps to see what kind of person can be saved and used, since my walk with God hasn't been that great either. (Go Paul!)

1. Hmm...it's hard to say. I like every character on some level. But if I'd have to pick a favorite.....I pick Miroku. Ever good anime needs a perv.....^_^*

Questions! I'm so excited!!!!

1. Favorite Narnia character...hmm...probably Reepicheep. He is courageous, civilarious, and doesn't let the fact that he's small defeat his large, fighting spirit. (That and my friends called me that once when I had a long case of larengitis.)
2. I love Wonder Woman! Diana is strong, self-dependent, and doesn't let a man boss her around. Growing up with a very sexist father, she was inspirational. (Man, I sound like a total dork....)
3. Let's see...I like Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Chicago.....I'm drawing a blank. Musicals are great, but my favorite thing to see on stage is Shakespeare.
4. Are you referred to the Save the Animals woman? I suppose...
5. I have seen the title, but I haven't watched it. I have spent most of my late nights watching classic films.
6. I watched Touched by an Angel forever ago! Good show. I liked Tess the best. She was knowledgeable and very paternal; qualities that I respect and try to have.
7. Specter...no doubt about it. To be a real phantom would be fantastic! They are not as well known too....with makes them more interesting. I love specters.
8. Yeah. Ninjas are pretty cool.
9. I cannot recalle if I have or not. I haven't read as many books as I used to.
10. I have hugged a tree in public....twice. One time I was goofing off with some friends. The other time I was....intoxicated.
11. Hmm...that's hard to say. I am a big fan of Disney villians....back when I was in high school I went to school dressed as Cruella DeVil just for the fun of it. ( I suggest not trying that one...) Hmm.....for heroine I would say Pocahontas because she is strong-willed and Native American; for villian I would pick Scar. He was crafty and extremely cruel.

Have you read anything by S.E. Hinton? (She wrote The Outsiders; That Was Then, This is Now; and Rumblefish)

1. Hmmm.....I cannot say that I have. Again, I don't get to read as much as I used to. Recently, the books I have read are: The Essential 55 by Ron Clark (good educator's book), Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (because of Heathcliff of course), and Persistance by Jane Austin (because I could'nt sleep).

More questions, por favor!

YOu really should read her books. Francis Ford Coppola (yes, the same guy who directed those Godfather movies) did a great job with the movie versions. I'd recommend looking them up sometime. The books themselves are a real quick read.
HAve you ever seen It's A Wonderful Life? If so, what is your opinion of the movie?

1. I cannot say that I have.
2. I read it when I was a young child.....it still is heart-wrenching.
3. Hmm....probably Homer's Odyessy (roughing 3000 pages). I can still recite the opening lines:
Sing to me of the man, muse
the man of twists and turns
driven time and again of course
once he had plundered the hallowed heights of Troy
many cities he saw and learned their minds
many pains he suffered, heartsick on the open sea
fighting to save his life and bring his comrades home
but he could not save them from disaster
hard as he strove, the reskless of their own ways
destroyed them all
the blind fools
they devoured the cattle of the sun
and the sun god blotted out the day of their return
Launch out onto his story, Muse, daughter of Zues
start from where you will
sing for our time too.

1. I'm fairly sure I answered this question already, but I had a menagerie of pets growing up. Rabbits, cats, dogs, robins, guineas, pigs, parakeets, geese, hamsters, fish...the list is on going. Currently I have no pets since I left my old place.
2. Hmm...right now it's a tie between my grandmother and best friend. My nanny (I couldn't say "grandmother" as a child so I called her that) taught me to be hard-working, stubborn, and nourturing to other people; my best friend taught me to use my voice and have an opinion.
3. Let's see....I like Longfellow, Byron, Wordsworth, Bronte, Poe, and other like famous poets. Honestly, I prefer to read the poems that are posted here on the site. So many of our members have such a talent for writing. The poem about the guardian angel you posted is one of my favorites.
4. For Shakespeare's heroes I like only one: Viola. I am more of a fan for Shakespeare's villians because he created such great ones. Among my favorite villians are Hamlet, Richard III, Lady Macbeth, and Cassius.
Jeremiah 29:11-"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Hamlet's no villain!
And thanks, I am very proud of that poem. Aquinas was a big help.
1. What are your favorite sitcoms, past and present?
2. If you could be any animal, what animal would you pick?
3. Who would you like to have a tea party with in Heaven?
4. What was your best subject in school?

1. Sitcoms....hmmm....that's tough. I usually don't watch a lot of sitcoms. One of my favorites is Whose Line is it Anyway. Comedy is a big part of what I watch. I am more of a older show/movie type of person.
2. I'd want to be a falcon (my Native American animal). I am a large part Cherokee, so I have great pride in my animal. I would be untamed and free to go and do whatever I pleased...that freedom is so appealing.
3. Hmm....tough one. I'd like to sit around with Jesus and his disciples, Einstein, Freud, Lincoln, Dali, DaVinci, and any other great minds to talk about absolutely nothing.
4. Not to sound pompous or anything, but I was one of those students that didn't have to try and excelled at most subjects. I was self-motivated and made sure I was ahead of my class, but I was a notorious class-skipper (who was never caught). English, art, music, and history were my best subjects. Math was my absolute worst....I pretty much never attended geometry. Haha!

Hey! My dad says I have a small portion of Cherokee blood in me. Maybe we're related! (Of course, he likes to kid around a lot.)
Have you ever listened to...
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers
2. U2
3. Bob Marley
4. Kid Rock
5. AC/DC
6. The B-52's

-Your favorite movies by them?
-Have you ever listened to They Might be Giants?
-You favorite song by them?
-What instruments do you play/own?
-Are you afraid of lawn gnomes?
-How many licks to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
-What did you think of "The Cat Returns"?
-Who wrote your favorite symphony and what symphony is it?
-If you needed someone to house sit your house and Norman Bates answered your ad, and he promised not to spill chocolate sauce in your shower, would you let him house sit?
-Would you get robotic eyes put in your head to receive the ability to shoot lasers?
-How about cheese curds, yes? No? maybe?
-Is the Yellow Deli really that good?
That's all for now!
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky

Cool beans.

1. I haven't played any Final Fantasy games before, so I never no real opinion.
2. I love Kurosawa's films. An old teacher introduced me to him by giving me Throne of Blood as a birthday gift.
3. I have seen The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...that's about as far as I have gotten with Leone.
4. Probably the ones I stated above. I haven't seen much of either one.
5. Not very much, I'm afraid.
6. Birdhouse to the Soul sounds nice...I like that one from what I recall.
7. Sadly, I lost my instruments to my family when I left home (which included my beloved Noblet Artist Bb clarinet and a F-15 Fender that was played by my grandfather when he was in Vietnam). But as for instruments I can play, there is the bass clarinet, Bb clarinet, alto saxophone, some tenor saxophone, some guitar, and some mandolin.
8. Lawn knomes freak me out....I always feel like they are watching me....so I suppose I am afraid of them.
9. That's an easy question. 241 licks. (Yes, I actually counted.)
10. It was a fairly cure film. Although the beastialty threw me off for a bit, I find it impossible not to love a Miyazaki film.
11. Wow...that's a tough one. Hmmmm.......honestly, I don't think I have a favorite currently.
12. Hahahaha. No, probably not.
13. In a heart beat. My eyes are terrible.....perfect vision AND lasers? How could I say no?
14. I like cheese curds, I guess.
15. Oh yeah...the Yellow Deli was the place to be. They have great drinks and the place is nice to boot.

1. A mad scientist has decided to use you as a guinea pig for an experimental machine that will give you any super power you wish. What would it be?
2. What is your favorite board game?
3. What historical event would you like to have witnessed?
4. Got any crushes on anime guys?
5. Which set of Star Wars movies do you like best--the originals or the prequels?

1. Hmmm....it's hard to choose just one power. Either the ability to fly or super human senses.
2. Probably Risk. I love that game!!! I get really serious when I play...it can get scary. I was in a class that played the game for a month when I was in high school (it became popular for awhile) and was merciless. Friends of mine started to call me Dictator or Mussolini when I presided over different clubs afterwards...I was even voted Most Likely to Take Over the World when I was a senior. lol
3. Hmm...I would say the death of Christ. As strange as it sounds, to see my savior dying and suffering would be the most humbling and horrific thing any person could ever witness.
4. Hahaha, not anymore anyway. When I first got into anime, I did though. Among the favored ones were Dark Mousy, Inuyasha, Miroku, Kenshin, and Shiro.
5. Hands down the originals. Love them! The newer ones just cannot compare. The trilogy was I think the first dvd box set I purchased when they came out.

1. Heck yeah! You are asking Miss Rule the World if I want to take over the galaxy. I'd join up with him and when things were in order, I'd probably knock him off and rule the galaxy myself.^_^*
2. Neither to both.
3. Hmm...I cannot remember the first time I was scarred by a movie, but I am afraid of certain films. I cannot even watch a horror movie...I take it too seriously.
4. Hmmm....that's tough. I like different qualities in all of them. Probably Starfire. She is kind-hearted and marches to the beat of her own drummer...a charming character.
5. Let's see....Fantastic 4, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Batman, X-men, and the Silver Surfer.
6. So far the trophy goes to the Smoky Mountains, but I haven't done a lot of traveling. I plan on it though. (Funnest place ever goes to Disney! Woot!)

You should definitely visit Utah and the Badlands. Very pretty country there.

3. Ever play Kingdom Hearts?
4. What was your first video game system you ever owned?

When did you come up with your custom title "Blackened Wings?" What inspired that title? :3

1. I'm not that big on chess personally. I prefer checkers and Risk.
2. I usually use the cannon because I like to blast the competition out of the water. (I am a very competitive and tactical person. ^_^*)
3. No I haven't. I haven't been able to afford a lot of things like video games and such. Now that I'm on my own, I invest a little bit more money in my gaming. I just bought an awesome game similiar to KH two days ago where it turns my songs into warriors.
4. Hmm....the earliest one I remember is the original Nintendo....playing Mario, Duck Hunt, and Tetris.
5. I just finished watching an anime called Haibane Remnei. Haibane are people with wings and halos, and there are two characters that are Sin_Bound that have black in their wings. Blackened Wings goes back to the fact that I am still a sinner and although God has cleaned my slate, I still have some ugly dark scars.
I change up my title quite abit, and there is always something "amusing" about it. Haha.
