Pls pray for my grandpa

Postby danceljoy » Fri Jul 10, 2009 2:00 am

Right now my grandpa is on the hospital, his emphysema is making his breathing difficult. He was already hospitalized twice these past months, but now I heard that he's in a worse state than before.:sniffle:

We are praying for his physical recovery, but please pray for his spiritual health too. These past months, he has been showing signs of depression and pessimism in his weak state. Dying is always in his mind; he had little effort to improve his state, saying that he'll die anyway and sometimes he says he wants to die because he wants to stop the pain. However, whenever my grandma is away, he gets so nervous that something may happen to him when she's away- he also fears death.

Please pray for peace and joy in his mind despite the trials.

I'll definitely pray for your grandpa! My own grandfather was hospitalized in February, was later moved to a rehab centre, and was discharged from there on the 25th of June. There were a lot of ups and downs throughout the whole ordeal (points where we were preparing ourselves for making the trip for a funeral) Except his case is different ^___^'

Anyhow, I really hope things get better. Life is good, and you should enjoy what you have! Even if it's as simple a joy as seeing the sun rise. I'll be praying for your grandfather and for everyone in your family, as well :thumb:

Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers! My grandfather was able to speak, meaning that he didn't have a stroke and recovery is not that far fetched!

:( Still praying (actually, while driving yesterday, I suddenly thought, 'I should pray for her and her grandpa, right now.' and I did...)

*sigh* I remember how many times we got our hopes up for a little bit, and then the next day they were saying expect him to die (with my grandpa, when he was still in the hospital) Darn gosh, it was a horrible time. I hope and pray things pull through as they did for my family.

I understand what it's like to go through depression. I'll be praying for your grandparents.

I want to thank everyone here who prayed for us, and I would like to tell you that my Grandpa was able to come home now, to our one true Father up there. He's home. Though it is sad, we are thankful for the years God gave him to be with us. And deep in my heart, I truly believed that he rested in peace.

...oh. *gives you a hug*

Honestly, I've never known anybody personally who has passed on. But I do know, that while my grandpa was in a critical state, my mom was talking about how she would almost be happy if he did go on home to Heaven, rather than be in the state he was in. So I can sort of understand that way of thinking (Even though he didn't die). I still think it's a little sad, but...at least he's in Heaven now...and really, that's way better than anything here on Earth :thumb:

I prayed for your grandpa! I know how it feels to have a grandpa in the hospital. I actually had both of mine before in the hospital. But by the grace of God they are both well today and doing God's work ^_^. You're grandpa will be ok, I know sometimes these type of things take time but don't worry. God knows and He will be with you and your family.
