The Hangover

Postby Tommy » Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:22 pm

Anyone else see this movie yet?

I wasn't expecting much, but I laughed incredibly hard in response to nearly everything Allan did.

It wasn't an outstanding comedy by any means, but I felt it was worth my six dollars.

What'd you guys think?

I'm not saying I find the concept of an old man who wishes to fulfill a childhood promise to his dead wife is a goldmine concept either but a bunch of guys forgetting what they did when they were drunk...eh, not doing it for me.

I would if I cared.

They didn't forget because they were drunk.
There's alot more to it than that.
I was in it for plot though.
I was in it for laughs.

I kind of knew a bunch of people would try to shoot me down after my comment towards Up after making this thread.

It's whatever.

So has anyone actually seen this movie that would like to comment on it?

I thought it was hilarious ! Much better than Jude Apatows countless comedies for sure. The content was WAY to high after the credits to recommend to anyone

Yeah, language aside, the content wasn't too bad, but if you stay for the credits, the inappropriateness increases greatly.

But yeah, it was a very humorous film indeed.

I thought it was ok. A friend of mine who had seen DWMC said it was not as good.

it had some fun moments, but the characters were quite cliché and some of the occurences just too fantastical. I loved the rip-off of "21" though, but that's most likely due my great fondness for savants and Allan was good one. I gues sthe best testament I can make of the movie is that despite dealing with a ton of stuff I oppose to, I found it tolerable, even funny at choice moments.

That and I'll add it to my vast collection of examples I pull whenever someone asks me why don't I drink. :D
